I wanted to be present in the room when they treated my animal and they refused. They said they would be liable if I got bit. I informed them that they had zero liability if my own pet bit me. They stated they would not allow me to be in the room when they treated my pet. I told them I would not let them treat my child without me present and I would not let them treat my pet without me present. I took my animal and left. What did they not want me to see? Read Less

Friends of mine found an injured kitten on a busy road. She and her brother decided to rescue this helpless kitten by taking it to the nearest vet....Springhill Animal Clinic in Bryant, AR. The receptionist was rude when my friends could not pay for the service; they merely saw it injured and wanted to help. My friends were willing to give it a home but did not have the $200 + they asked for. After asking if they could work out a payment plan the receptionist snidely said they do not do payment plans. Its almost like they just expect you to leave it in the road to get run over! Like my friends were putting them out by bringing an injured animal to them. Read Less

My family has used this vet off and on for a few years now, due to convenient location. They have never had amazing things to say about them but we have always just stuck it out and continued going here. I had never taken any dog to the vet because I never had a dog that was solely mine. I just recently rescued a puppy and naturally I began taking her here. Our first visit was decent, very simple due to the fact that she was only a few weeks old and just need three vaccinations. Our second visit however, has left me with a bitter thought of this vet. Walking in, the lady at the front desk was not very polite, but I brushed it off, everyone has their off days. But then a young lady came and took my 3 month pup to the back, not informing me why. She returned minutes later with a snarl on her face, complaining that my pup snapped at her. She began saying things like "that is horrible! I have never had a puppy snap at me like that!!" Obviously you haven't worked at a vet very long if you have never had a puppy snap at you when trying to give an injection and holding them down. I let it role off my back and returned for my pups 6 month check up. This visit began in the same matter. My pup, I remind you is a rescue pup, and had formed a fear of people she did not know. We were sent to the back room and the same lady came in and my pup did not want to go to her and I had to force my pup in her direction. After too long in the back she returned and began lecturing me that "there was no hope for my dog" "if she isn't good with people yet" I was very offended, she is only a puppy, and one who had a terrible early life at that, she is still learning and getting accommodated with new people. To my surprise, at the end of every visit they charged me hundreds. Without my permission they did a number of unnecessary checks and samples and charged me ridiculous prices for each, which is why my bill would be so outrageous. You shouldn't dread taking your animal to the vet, nor should you leave your vet angry and offended every time to visit them. I do not recommend this vet. Find a friendly caring vet that will be understanding and kind to not only your animal but to you as well. Read Less

We have several dogs and have used this clinic for several years simply because of the location being convenient - Lesson learned for us! All of our animals are vaccinated at this clinic with the exception of one, our lab whereas my husband vaccinates him via Farmers Co-op. The vet's office has always been aware of this information and has never advised that this type of vaccination is "not legal" Recently our lab had to have surgery to remove a swallowed rock and we were told by this clinic that they were not able to perform the surgery for two days. He was dying so we had it done elsewhere! Returned to our clinic (Springhill) for the removal of the stitches. The only young lady at the desk was rude from the moment we arrived and took our dog in the back to remove the stitches. She returned angry stating that he "nipped" her and showed a spot on her finger smaller than a pea - Seriously!! It looked like a tiny scratch. We apologized and explained that he has never acted this way. We were leaving for Vacation out of state (advising the clinic of this) and after four hours, we received a call on our cell phone from Animal Control demanding that we return home and present our animal to their custody. They had gotten a report that our dog had bitten someone and the dog had to be detained for ten days. Our lab is NOT a vicious dog - you can remove his food while eating and he would allow that - nor has he ever shown vicious tendencies even to strangers. I understand the "law" However, you don't expect this behavior from your Vet's Office! They could have simply told us, that the dog needed to be quarantined for ten days at their office and we would have gladly complied!! But even after speaking with them AFTER the "bite" we were not told that they were reporting us to Animal Control 1. The dog SHOULD have been restrained by TWO office personnel - According to my new Vet 2. An Assistant should NOT have been the one removing the stitches - According to my new Vet - This is the Doctor's job 3. When you are inflicting harm on an animal (tender surgical area) you Should Expect the animal to REACT and take Precautions to Protect yourself. Our lab who had recently undergone surgery and needed home care was put in a cage in a strange place for 10 days This is how they treat their Long Time Clients!!! BEWARE - Your animal could be taken from you as wellRead Less
