Staff was friendly. Easy to make appointments. They say they don't carry the medicine in the clinic so you have to order it online strictly from their online pharmacy, it is really just a hassle and takes way too long. Quality of care was good but they would tell me I needed vaccinations for my dog or other tests when she actually was completely up to date on everything. I spend enough money at the vet and I refuse to pay for things I simply do not need. Lost my business for that reason. Read Less

Took our cat into Pine Street Animal Clinic due to a severe allergy. 1st time, the staff was great and informed us of the charges prior to service being done. They weren't able to tell us the underlying issue with the cat but instead just gave him a steroid shot to help. The shot did help for a month or two. The only complaint with the first visit is that the Vet reeked like cigarette smoke but other than that they were fine. The 2nd time we took our cat in for the same problem (September 11th, 2017), we were put in an exam room and immediately 2 vet assistants came and got the cat and said they were going to weigh him and would bring him back in a minute. 35 minutes later, they brought him back after all these services were done...NONE OF WHICH I AGREED TO! I expected a steroid shot to be given but they tested him for ear mites (which was negative) and even gave him ear mite medicine in his ears "just to be safe" as the vet said. The problem is that he has already been tested by a different vet for ear mites and Pine Street clinic knew that and if they would have looked at his records or even came and asked me then I would have told them. Every vet I have ever gone to comes to talk to you before they render service. My bill ended up being $171 that I was not expecting. After I left and saw what all I was charged for I called the and asked what the policy is on discussing with the client what services are rendered and the response that I got was "if it is a major surgery or hospitalization then they would discuss price but other than that they do not unless the client asks." Well I'm sorry but when I don't even know that you are performing any services because I was told you were only weighing him, when am I supposed to ask. What if I came out and the bill was $500? Why would you not talk to a customer about what services you are doing and the expected cost for them... Will never be going back to Pine Street and will make sure to tell everyone I can not to go either Read Less

This is our second bad experience with this vet. We brought our cat in due to a urinary block which is very fatal. They kept our cat for 5 days hoping to treat & cure him with a catheter & cat food, and charged us over $700. When we went to visit him they made us wait for over an hour before letting us back there and when we did get to finally go back to see him we had to manuver around all sorts of clutter to even get to his kennel. The place was very unclean and smelled of urine. The next day we moved him to All for Pets in Cabot who immediately x-rayed his bladder, started him on antibiotics and pain medication and treated his bladder with a laser machine. All of that only totaled to a little over $500. I feel taken advantage of, the best interest of our pet was not evident and we're fortunate we transferred him when we did or else our cat would have died and we would be left with an astronomical bill for outdated services, or in my opinion the lack of appropriate services.Read Less

i love the vet here, love the clinic in general, and have been taking my cat here since day one, but have recently made the decision to take my business elsewhere due to the rudeness i experienced from a member on the staff. if i had only encountered her attitude once, then i would have chalked it up to her just having a ""bad day"" (which we are all entitled to) but ive been treated rudely by her on multiple occasions. during three different visits over the last few months (my cat suffers from a chronic condition, and has to be seen frequently, plus i'm a paranoid pet owner), she has given me attitude, acted bothered and annoyed when i ask questions, and generally just made me feel like i was inconveniencing her. i once prefaced a question with ""this is probably the dumbest thing youll be asked all day"" and when i was done she ACTUALLY SAID ""you're right. it was DUMB"" - there have also been several times that i've phoned with questions or to schedule appointments, and if she answers, i'm met with the same attitude that i get in person. i realize that her job is to help take care of the animals, but along with animals come the people that own them (and the people who pay the bills!), so you would that that there would be a level of ""good"" customer service that the assistants should have to live up to at such places. i even thought that perhaps maybe she didnt like me for some reason, and thats why i was treated the way i was, but i have friends who are also clients at pine street, and they have similar stories about this particular assistant. i dont want to name names or point fingers, just warn that if you do go there, you might encounter this one grouchy girl. other than that, the place is GREAT! aside from the previously mentioned assistant, everyone on staff is helpful and they all really seem to love what they do. i wish i could continue going there, but im afraid that until the rude assistant is gone, ill have to take my business elsewhere. Every time I go to Pine Street, I get exceptional service. I'm pretty OCD about my animals and their health conditions but I never get let down. The thing I've always loved is how Dr. Jennen will get down on the floor to look at my animals if need be. Plus, anytime I have a question, she seems eager to give me the information I'm inquiring about. My dogs love it there, as do I. I've never had a nicer vet. Pine Street will always be "My Clinic". i love the vet here, love the clinic in general, and have been taking my cat here since day one, but have recently made the decision to take my business elsewhere due to the rudeness i experienced from a member on the staff. if i had only encountered her attitude once, then i would have chalked it up to her just having a ""bad day"" (which we are all entitled to) but ive been treated rudely by her on multiple occasions. during three different visits over the last few months (my cat suffers from a chronic condition, and has to be seen frequently, plus i'm a paranoid pet owner), she has given me attitude, acted bothered and annoyed when i ask questions, and generally just made me feel like i was inconveniencing her. i once prefaced a question with ""this is probably the dumbest thing youll be asked all day"" and when i was done she ACTUALLY SAID ""you're right. it was DUMB"" - there have also been several times that i've phoned with questions or to schedule appointments, and if she answers, i'm met with the same attitude that i get in person. i realize that her job is to help take care of the animals, but along with animals come the people that own them (and the people who pay the bills!), so you would that that there would be a level of ""good"" customer service that the assistants should have to live up to at such places. i even thought that perhaps maybe she didnt like me for some reason, and thats why i was treated the way i was, but i have friends who are also clients at pine street, and they have similar stories about this particular assistant. i dont want to name names or point fingers, just warn that if you do go there, you might encounter this one grouchy girl. other than that, the place is GREAT! aside from the previously mentioned assistant, everyone on staff is helpful and they all really seem to love what they do. i wish i could continue going there, but im afraid that until the rude assistant is gone, ill have to take my business elsewhere.
