We first started with Conway Animal Clinic with our first baby girl, Ava. After many health problems, she is doing great. We just celebrated her 3rd birthday, and I believe that is entirely due to the excellent care she has received from Dr. Smith! Ava is an anxious girl, but everyone there loves on her, and she loves them! They are patient with her. Most importantly, she trusts them. We now have a nine month old boy, Gus. We would never think of going anywhere else. From the time we walk in the front door, whether for a routine visit, sick puppies, or grooming, everyone knows who we are and are excited to see our babies. This clinic is by far the greatest. The front staff is totally wonderful. Both vets are attentive and compassionate. I have been going there with my companions for 9 years and could not be happier. Great staff and groomer, they have always taken great care of all 3 of my yorkies. Gizmo, Priscilla, and Evie love going there. The Dr actually gets to know all the fur babies as well as their owners , all staff knows us by name also. Love, love it here. Read Less

It was nice getting a list printed out of our options along with the prices of the options so we could make the best choice for our kitty and still be able to afford it. The staff here are some awesome people. My Woodrow has a snippy attitude sometimes, and they know it. He has to have medicine when he is groomed because he tends to bite. I hate that he acts this way but they know how to handle him with the utmost care. He's not aggressive, he's just got to be in control. This place is amazing! I called needing to get vaccinations for both my dogs and get the ears checked on just one. I was able to get in the same day within the hour. Dr. Talent advised us that both dogs had severe ear infections for way too long despite getting regularly evaluated every 6 months to a year. He was able to diagnose within 15 minutes. We had the vaccinations, labs, medications, prescription dog food and treats, plus the visit cost for both dogs for way less than I was expecting, plus my dogs were treated with so much kindness by Dr. Talent and all his staff despite being difficult and scared due to their pain. I was in tears by the time we left because I was so grateful that my senior dogs will be able to live a longer, more comfortable life due to this clinic's care. Read Less

The very first thing that came up when I walked in with my sick puppy was how I planned on paying. Granted, it was early in the morning and I wasn't in a business suit, but it was obvious the concern was not about the wellbeing of my pet but rather on the profit margin. Long story short, it cost me the better part of a thousand dollars for "Dr." Talent to do much of nothing other than to prescribe some pills and run some questionable tests. In retrospect I guess it's better to be safe than sorry and perhaps he was sincerely looking out for pet, but the over-emphasis on money is a real turn off, and I have since switched to a different vet who is actually interested in the pets first and the money second...and they cost about a third of the price of Conway Animal Clinic. The entire staff was extremely helpful. My 90 lbs Alaskan Malamute, Bravo, came in with a skin ittiration. The previous vet admitted that they didn't know what it was an prescribed a generic antibiotic. Well, Dr. Tallent properly identified it and prescribed the appropriate medications and treatment. He also suggested a supplement to reduce the shedding. We noticed improvement within the first week. Bravo was not cooperating at all. He tried to bite Dr. Tallent during the examination. Tallent dodged the majority of the bite but he still drew some blood. Dr Tallent cleaned and bandaged himself and continued with the examination. One part of the treatment included a medicated bath the following day which they offer at their facility. Bravo did not want a bath and was growling and snapping even with his muzzle on. I was ready to give up. Bravo had to be sedated to get his bath. I appreciated that option. The receptionist, Bryce, was instrumental in assisting in helping to move the sleeping Bravo around and put Bravo in my car afterwards. This was an ordeal that I don't think would have been resolved from start to finish at any other vet. The proper diagnosis and medication, the bath ordeal, and have supplement to reduce the shedding. When I talked to my home vet in Chicago, they didn't carry the medication in house, I would have to pick it up from CVS pharmacy so it was an added benefit that Dr Tallent stocked the medication which saved me an extra stop. I've never taken my dog to see the doctor here but I took him to the groomers at Conway Animal Clinic. I had a great first experience with them. The groomer cut my little guy's hair perfectly and just the way I wanted it. She was very kind. The second time around...not so much. His body didn't even look like he had gotten a hair cut. She told me she had remembered him and that she wrote down from the previous visit what I liked. However, she barely trimmed his nails, he still had knots all over him, and his hair didn't even look cut. I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt. Maybe she had a bad day? But I am definitely not going back because $48 for what my pup got is not worth it. Also, the receptionist guy wasn't very nice. I was afraid to ask him anything because he just seemed unfriendly and you could definitely tell he didn't want to be there. Read Less

I have been going to Conway Animal Clinic since 1988. They have always taken care of my pets and treated them with love. They are sensitive to clients and how much their pets mean to them. I have had many pets over the years. I cannot think of any other place I would take them for treatment. They are very professional as well as friendly. They have treated each of my pets with the best care possible. They have shown me comfort and support when one of my pets has crossed over the rainbow to their heaven. For that I truly appreciate. If you love your animals then this is the place for you. You pay for what you receive with service. If you want the best then use them. Read Less

I was extrememly happy with the care my pets received at Conway Animal Clinic, the Dr. Tallent and the staff were very friendly and answered all of my questions. I was very excited to learn that they are also very community involved. They are currently taking donations for pet oxygen masks for all the fire departments in conway. In years past they also raised money to purchace bullet proof vests for all the conway k-9 units! I love that they care also about the community and they are doing their part!
