I have been going to see Dr. Don Barnett with my two dachshunds for years. He has always known what to do for them when I bring them in and is decently priced on everything. In February, he offers discounted teeth cleaning services for the entire month...that is usually when my dogs go and get their teeth cleaned and have their nails clipped as well. This place also offers grooming services and again has decent prices compared to some upetty vet places. As long as I live in Arkansas, I will be coming here for my dogs' care and needs.Read Less

Maybe I should lower my standards, though I don't know to how low. The girls were supposed to be ready from their grooming appointment at Cantrell Animal Clinic at 2:00 p.m. I dropped them off at 8:45 a.m., drove home to NLR, and back to LR to get them--but they won't be ready until 3:30 and no one bothered to call me. I called to see how much a T4 test for my greyhound would be because he had been having seizures. I was told by the vets wife over the phone it would be $29. We made an appointment and went and when it was time to pay were told it was over $100. We informed them what we were told as far as $29. The vets wife was in the office that day and acknowledged that i was correct and she did tell me it was $29. She then asked her husband (the vet), and he said no, it was over $100. He then took it upon himself to take the blood sample and say "I'll just throw this away" and tossed the blood sample into the trash bin. After which we were told we still owed $48 for the visit even though NOTHING had been done other than drawing the blood (which obviously doesn't require $48 of equipment for a needle and tube) and listening to his lungs and heart and taking his temperature. The sheer nerve for someone to charge at all after wasting someone's time, providing incorrect information, and putting someone's pet through a blood extraction for nothing is beyond unethical. I would never recommend this place to anyone. The fact the vets own wife can't even provide correct information and the attitude the vet had even after he found out it was his own wife's mistake is beyond ridiculous.Read Less
