Dr. Barron and his amazing staff are not only great at handling regular checkups with ease, but also offer efficient, caring help to my pups to make them feel better as soon as possible in unique situations. Every question gets answered and a life-line gets extended when a pet is in need of assistance. As a pet owner, I can't say enough times how much this has meant to me. Shout out to Barbara. She not only handled my worrying about my pet, but she was amazingly informative and easy to talk to when I was nervous. During my dog's stay, she was absolutely wonderful and made me feel comfortable not only about his care, but of my own concern for him. She never acted like it was odd that I had so many questions or had any issue calming my frazzled nerves. I don't ever want to take my pups to any other vet. Dr. Barron is simply amazing, as is everyone in the office. Thank you all, for taking care of me and my babies. We are so, so grateful for all you have done.

My animals and I love Dr. Earl Smith and SRVC. I have worked professionally with dogs for almost 25 years and shown dogs for longer than that and even though I live 35 miles from SRVC and drive by several vet clinics to get there it is so worth the inconvenience! I recommend them all the time and can't count the number of times I have had clients call me back after they tried the clinic telling me great their experience was. I wouldn't trust any other clinic with complex medical issues.

They saved our shih tzu (Gizzie's) life last Monday. I called on Monday morning and they were able to squeeze Gizzie in on Monday. Dr. Barron called to advise us that Gizzie had a 2lb mass attached to his spleen causing his symptoms. He was able to operate with in the hour and remove the mass and the spleen successfully. Dr. Barron kept us informed ever step of the way. Even calling us at 7:30 Monday night to give us an update. We received compassion and empathy from Dr. Barron and his entire staff. We are so glad we found Dr. Barron and Shackleford Road Veterinary Clinic.

I trust Dr. Baron with the health of my beloved old dogs. He always knows what to do; I've never felt that he's guessing and sending me out the door without any real answers, as I've felt with other vets. The courses of action he's recommended for our various complications have always been successful. We've always received call backs about questions in a timely manner, sometimes even at 7:00 pm when the doctors' workdays probably should be over! The only drawback with this clinic is that it so popular and sometimes difficult to get in, but they have been good about squeezing us in for emergencies. If you can wait, it is worth it to see Dr. Baron. He knows what he's doing.

Recently moved to area from FL and needed to find a vet for my fur babies. My lab has chronic ear infections and this visit was due to yet another ear infection. Dr. Smith went above and beyond to what I was accustomed to in regards to treatment. He got to the bottom of the ear issue that I evidently had been "band-aiding" for years. I have spent hundreds of dollars on ear drops/antibiotics with no resolve, only to find out her eardrums were blown and causing her issues. I was very pleased with my decision to use this veterinary clinic. ALL the staff members were friendly and pleasant to deal with.

The staff at this clinic are all wonderful. They made my cat and I feel right at home. Dr. Barron treated my cat for gastrointestinal issues. After finding out the prescribed medicine required a compounding pharmacy and would cost $40/mo, I called to see if it could be switched to a cheaper alternative. He returned my call before the end of the business day and was more than willing to make that change. We had a pleasant first experience and will be returning!

I have been to four different vet clinics in Little Rock and this one is by far the best. The prices are extremely cheap compared to the other three, but they don't sacrifice service or care. The staff is excellent, friendly and kind. We've seen both Dr. Smith and Dr. Barron and they were also friendly and knowledgeable. They explain problems and solutions in a simple way without making my boyfriend or I feel like idiots. Our best experience involved a scary experience, when our dog developed a tumor. They removed the tumor and cared for our dog for a very reasonable price. We brought her in for a checkup later and they didn't even charge us for it. Granted he just checked her over, no tests or anything, but most places would have still charged for an office visit. If you are looking for a vet, I'd highly recommend this place. Either of the vets are a great choice.

A friend of mine recommended Shackleford Road Veterinary Clinic when I first moved to Little Rock, and thank god she did. Dr. Baron is one of the best vets I've ever used and the staff is incredibly friendly. My dog has a rare blood disease and Dr. Baron has gone out of his way to learn as much about the disease as possible and has done an excellent job of keeping him healthy. I am so glad I found Dr. Baron and Shackleford Road Veterinary Clinic!

I have taken my cats to Dr. Smith for over 20 years, and this place is great, I had an emergency one night right before they closed when one of my cats was throwing up blood, and the vet stayed even though they were closing to work on my cat instead of just sending me to the emergency vet. Super nice guy. The prices are low and the employees are really nice and helpful also. The other vet they have there (can't remember name) is nice, too- I've seen him before with Lucky & Sasha my kitties and they warmed up to him right away. We love this place and won't go anywhere else.Responding to the negative review: I don't believe one word of this guy's story. Personally, I know that if this story were true, it would be terrible indeed, and if that is how Dr Smith did business, he wouldn't have a thriving practice and life-long clients. Unfortunately, having known& used Dr. Smith for a long time I know better than what this guy is saying. He is not the sort of man who would "lie" to a person about their pet! I am sorry for your loss, but animals don't live forever. Your pet died from complications, not from lack of care or professionalism. Maybe you should have opted NOT to get an abortion for your dog in the first place, or been a more responsible owner to ensure your dog didn't end up in that situation! It's always easier to award blame to someone other than ourselves. Dr. Smith probably didn't charge you because he didn't want to deal with your drama. Threats are the tactics of the weak.

He performed a very difficult surgery on my mastiff who weighs over 200lbs and now he is able to walk again as if nothing ever happened to him! I have many friends and family members who use him as well, and are all very pleased with him. I think the person who wrote the negative review is probably just hurt over the loss of their animal. I cannot imagine Dr. Smith ever "lying". Especially concerning the well-being of an animal. Anyway, we love him and the staff and will never go anywhere else as long as he is practicing medicine!

The nurses were amazing! They even let me drop her off before they opened so I could make it to work on time! They were so caring and the doctor even called and left me a message with an update about her condition, personally! I just called now, many months later about fleas and I spoke with Lisa who was amazingly helpful! Every interaction I've had with them has been so great.

took my schnauzer in for abortion, dr. smith cut her kidney's and lied about it for a week, while keeping my dog on life support, and telling different stories to me and my family. i had necropsy performed and proved he was at fault. he then sent me a bill for her care. i called and told him, I BURIED MY PET, YOU BURY THIS BILL, or i'll sue you. he never sent another bill. i did tell him, i would put the word out about his bad services, and i will continue until the day i die. so other pets wont have to die, unneccesarily.

Dr. Barron and his amazing staff are not only great at handling regular checkups with ease, but also offer efficient, caring help to my pups to make them feel better as soon as possible in unique situations. Every question gets answered and a life-line gets extended when a pet is in need of assistance. As a pet owner, I can't say enough times how much this has meant to me. Shout out to Barbara. She not only handled my worrying about my pet, but she was amazingly informative and easy to talk to when I was nervous. During my dog's stay, she was absolutely wonderful and made me feel comfortable not only about his care, but of my own concern for him. She never acted like it was odd that I had so many questions or had any issue calming my frazzled nerves. I don't ever want to take my pups to any other vet. Dr. Barron is simply amazing, as is everyone in the office. Thank you all, for taking care of me and my babies. We are so, so grateful for all you have done.

I have worked professionally with dogs for almost 25 years and shown dogs for longer than that and even though I live 35 miles from SRVC and drive by several vet clinics to get there it is so worth the inconvenience! I recommend them all the time and can't count the number of times I have had clients call me back after they tried the clinic telling me great their experience was. I wouldn't trust any other clinic with complex medical issues.

They saved our shih tzu (Gizzie's) life last Monday. I called on Monday morning and they were able to squeeze Gizzie in on Monday. Dr. Barron called to advise us that Gizzie had a 2lb mass attached to his spleen causing his symptoms. He was able to operate with in the hour and remove the mass and the spleen successfully. Dr. Barron kept us informed ever step of the way. Even calling us at 7:30 Monday night to give us an update. We received compassion and empathy from Dr. Barron and his entire staff. We are so glad we found Dr. Barron and Shackleford Road Veterinary Clinic.

I trust Dr. Baron with the health of my beloved old dogs. He always knows what to do; I've never felt that he's guessing and sending me out the door without any real answers, as I've felt with other vets. The courses of action he's recommended for our various complications have always been successful. We've always received call backs about questions in a timely manner, sometimes even at 7:00 pm when the doctors' workdays probably should be over! The only drawback with this clinic is that it so popular and sometimes difficult to get in, but they have been good about squeezing us in for emergencies. If you can wait, it is worth it to see Dr. Baron. He knows what he's doing.

Recently moved to area from FL and needed to find a vet for my fur babies. My lab has chronic ear infections and this visit was due to yet another ear infection. Dr. Smith went above and beyond to what I was accustomed to in regards to treatment. He got to the bottom of the ear issue that I evidently had been "band-aiding" for years. I have spent hundreds of dollars on ear drops/antibiotics with no resolve, only to find out her eardrums were blown and causing her issues. I was very pleased with my decision to use this veterinary clinic. ALL the staff members were friendly and pleasant to deal with.

After finding out the prescribed medicine required a compounding pharmacy and would cost $40/mo, I called to see if it could be switched to a cheaper alternative. He returned my call before the end of the business day and was more than willing to make that change. We had a pleasant first experience and will be returning!

I have been to four different vet clinics in Little Rock and this one is by far the best. The prices are extremely cheap compared to the other three, but they don't sacrifice service or care. The staff is excellent, friendly and kind. We've seen both Dr. Smith and Dr. Barron and they were also friendly and knowledgeable. They explain problems and solutions in a simple way without making my boyfriend or I feel like idiots. Our best experience involved a scary experience, when our dog developed a tumor. They removed the tumor and cared for our dog for a very reasonable price. We brought her in for a checkup later and they didn't even charge us for it. Granted he just checked her over, no tests or anything, but most places would have still charged for an office visit. If you are looking for a vet, I'd highly recommend this place. Either of the vets are a great choice.

A friend of mine recommended Shackleford Road Veterinary Clinic when I first moved to Little Rock, and thank god she did. Dr. Baron is one of the best vets I've ever used and the staff is incredibly friendly. My dog has a rare blood disease and Dr. Baron has gone out of his way to learn as much about the disease as possible and has done an excellent job of keeping him healthy. I have taken my cats to Dr. Smith for over 20 years, and this place is great, I had an emergency one night right before they closed when one of my cats was throwing up blood, and the vet stayed even though they were closing to work on my cat instead of just sending me to the emergency vet. Super nice guy. The prices are low and the employees are really nice and helpful also. The other vet they have there (can't remember name) is nice, too- I've seen him before with Lucky & Sasha my kitties and they warmed up to him right away. We love this place and won't go anywhere else.Responding to the negative review: I don't believe one word of this guy's story. Personally, I know that if this story were true, it would be terrible indeed, and if that is how Dr Smith did business, he wouldn't have a thriving practice and life-long clients. Unfortunately, having known& used Dr. Smith for a long time I know better than what this guy is saying. He is not the sort of man who would "lie" to a person about their pet! I am sorry for your loss, but animals don't live forever. Your pet died from complications, not from lack of care or professionalism. Maybe you should have opted NOT to get an abortion for your dog in the first place, or been a more responsible owner to ensure your dog didn't end up in that situation! It's always easier to award blame to someone other than ourselves. Dr. Smith probably didn't charge you because he didn't want to deal with your drama. Threats are the tactics of the weak.

This has got to be one of the nicest clinics in Little Rock. Dr. Smith is wonderful- very knowledgeable and kind. He performed a very difficult surgery on my mastiff who weighs over 200lbs and now he is able to walk again as if nothing ever happened to him! I have many friends and family members who use him as well, and are all very pleased with him. I think the person who wrote the negative review is probably just hurt over the loss of their animal. I cannot imagine Dr. Smith ever "lying". Especially concerning the well-being of an animal. Anyway, we love him and the staff and will never go anywhere else as long as he is practicing medicine!

I came in the first time by word of mouth referral from a friend when my cat, Pickles, was attacked by another cat and had to get stiches and an abscess drained. It was a very scary time. The nurses were amazing! They even let me drop her off before they opened so I could make it to work on time! They were so caring and the doctor even called and left me a message with an update about her condition, personally! I just called now, many months later about fleas and I spoke with Lisa who was amazingly helpful! Every interaction I've had with them has been so great.

took my schnauzer in for abortion, dr. smith cut her kidney's and lied about it for a week, while keeping my dog on life support, and telling different stories to me and my family. i had necropsy performed and proved he was at fault. he then sent me a bill for her care. i called and told him, I BURIED MY PET, YOU BURY THIS BILL, or i'll sue you. he never sent another bill. i did tell him, i would put the word out about his bad services, and i will continue until the day i die. so other pets wont have to die, unneccesarily.
