Today, April 24th 2017, I arrived 15 minutes prior to my appointment. I as usual found frowning faces behind the reception desk. I was glad to get there with my two dogs, and looking forward to getting their shots and heart worm test. Prior to my appointment, I had asked area vet clinics if nail trimming was free with similar services, and the answer was usually, "yes". I only chose Mayflower Clinic because it is the closest, thinking that their nail service would be free or discounted. Especially for the large sum of money to be spent. Well, when I asked the women at the counter, if nail trimming was free or discounted. You could of heard hell freeze over again and again.. The response was, "ask the doctor", accompanied by the usual frowns. Then of course I asked the, "doctor", well hell froze again, he snidely remarked, "you ask your doctor to cut your nails for free"...I could not believe the unprofessional response...I quickly asked him, "what did you say", he responded in the same snide tone, "ask your doctor"....Wow!...I responded, "was that supposed to be funny", he just starred at me. This was the straw that broke the camel's back,,, I responded again, "that's enough-please cancel my appointment", I left feeling bad that I was treated with such disrespect. I just was asking for what the other area vets offer for free...Prior to this appointment, I suffered through other frowning, Mayflower Clinic vet appointments, sometimes redeeming themselves with an occasional smile...occasional. Sometimes, while visiting this clinic, I would get to talk to a nice person. But of course, they would be gone the next visit...My future vet visits will be with a personable staff, at least professional staff...I regret to have been driven to write this post, but I feel that others should know...
