I worked here for two days and quit. It had nothing to do with the blood or the shape that the animals were in when they came in. It has to do with how the staff treated the animals when the owners weren’t there. You’re suppose to treat the animal and owner with respect. They were rough with the animals and talking bad about the animals owner. They didn’t care. They are in it for the money. Instead of actually doing their job, the staff was standing around. For instance, this dog had came in and he needed emergency surgery. They just put pup in the kennel and left it there. The owners called to see how everything is going. The receptionist lied and said that he was in surgery. She told me they’re suppose to do that so the owners don’t flip out. The place is very unprofessional. People are dropping thousounds of dollars up front. But no one wants to do their job. Premier boarding kennel, this emergency hospital, interstate animal clinic are all ran by the same people and the staff rotate. I wouldn’t recommend any of these places to anyone. It’s sad because the animals suffer the most and majority of them don’t make it out of there alive. Read Less

Interstate really cares about getting the job done right whether it's wellness care or emergencies! They also stock a large variety of meds and pet care items, so I can buy my feliway, special dog and cat food, dog toothpaste, and flea/tick/heartworm meds conveniently! Read Less

This was my first time to use this clinic, as ours was closed and we had a cat emergency. I am very impressed with their thorough check-up, and work-up on our cat was very thorough. Her lethargy was mysterious and came on so suddenly. Dr. Donna Hunter, (who is the feline specialist in the clinic), explained everything that they had done, findings, long-term prognosis. She also broke it down into "non-medical terminology," -- even though I know and understand medical language, I could appreciate the fact that not everyone does. They even refunded part of the money they had required as the initial deposit to see her, since our cat was a walk-in, new patient. I have to follow up with them for rechecking my girl, as she is on medication for high blood pressure. I have full confidence in Interstate Animal Clinic's ability to lovingly care for and diagnose any animal's care needs. They dispense their medication right in the office, BTW. They were all very sweet, courteous, professional and friendly. They loved my Sugar Baby girl. Read Less

Our first visit was 2/25/16-last Thursday. Our dog, Luci, suddenly had become very ill the day before and she'd never experienced anything to that extent before. So to say we were concerned is an understatement. We had tried one vet but the reception wasn't very welcoming, so we were hesitant. We were immediately greeted with warmth, compassion and smiles. My daughter and I decided immediately this Wld b Luci's permanent vet care! They not only took care of her needs but updated us on info we weren't aware of. I love this clinic!!!! I am the crazy cat lady and yes they are a little expensive. They always get me in and treat me and my babies with loving, caring and professional attitude. I had an appointment July 9, 15 at 8:30am for 1 of my dachshund's yearly shots and a urine test, saw a vet and they took her to back, at 10:50am Betty said they had an emergency and it would be 2 more hrs now back at 1:00pm and brought my other one in for a blood test Betty took her back and at 2:30pm, I hear my dog scream in the back and I jumped up and went to the desk and had to yell to someone and a girl came up and told me that was a puppy! NOT, I know my pets. At 3:00pm Betty came up to give me the bill and said"Tabitha is a very tolerant dog" I ask what do you mean tolerant? She said "of what we did to her today". They Read Less

Took my almost 3 year old cat to Interstate Animal Clinic after my other vet did not give me any answers as to why my cat was suddenly losing weight, not eating, not drinking and not going to the bathroom. I called them and they said come on in we'll see your cat as soon as you get here. Right they were, I told them it'd be about 30 minutes for me to drive there and as soon as I walked in the door a nice lady stood up and asked if this was 2 tone and I said yes, She said come with me we have a room waiting for you. We waited about 6 minutes to see the vet and she examined my cat the best I have ever seen a vet examine any animal. She recommended a full work up on blood work and I said go for it. We waited for about 30 minutes and we were called back into the room where the vet gave us not very good news. The vet gave us a full break down on cost for everything but as a cat owner for many years I knew none of 2 tone's problems were curable I made the heart wrenching choice to have him put to sleep to end his days of suffering. All of the staff at Interstate Animal Clinic were very professional, caring and compassionate. I will be returning to Interstate again once I get a new cat which I plan to do at some point. Over priced and try to gouge you for all you're worth. My cat had an abcessed tooth and we went there it was going to be over $525 and that was after the first visit. We took her to Jacksonville animal staff and they fixed her right up. I would so recommend! Read Less

My dog went into kidney failure and eventually almost died after a routine procedure [tooth cleaning and extraction] at Interstate. I'm sure this could happen anywhere with an otherwise-healthy 12 year old animal. However, one senior provider at this clinic was exquisitly unhelpful during this week-long ordeal, suggested an expensive test to rule out an unlikey cause, and was also quite pompous and unsympathetic. We got our records and moved care to Hillcrest Animal Hospital. The care there has been awesome, as is the staff. Plus, we spent considerably less at Hillcrest to get inpatient care that saved our dog's life than we gave to Interstate. 'Nuff said -- adios Interstate. Read Less

They got my cat in right away. The doctor called me within the hour to let me know everything was good. Overall my experience was great. Customer service was fantastic. I did not have to wait. Someone met me at the door, and my cat and I were taken right into a room, and they were very detailed and knowledgeable. I would recommend this place to others.Read Less
