Called the vet and told them that I just rescued a dog and needed to board it over Thanksgiving break. Was told I can bring it in and board it. Got there and had to wait 20 minutes before being seen by anyone because no one was even at the front desk. Once the rude girl at the front desk showed up she said we couldn't board the dog there, despite me already explaining the entire situation to her over the phone already. Said the dog had to have an "owner" to board it and I explained once again that I am the president of the Rescue and the dog was under our rescue, they still said no. DEFINITELY NOT RESCUE FRIENDLY. My dog has been coming here for a decade and recently their office staff has been HORRIBLE!! My dog is 10 and became sick on 2 separate occasions, I called on days they were open to have him checked out, but no1 would ever answer. Left messages at 9, 10, 11, and 12. It should not take 5 hrs to call me back to schedule an appointment that could be an emergency. Professionally they should leave an emergency number. Another time, their office was closed bc dr faulks horse was sick. I called several times that day to then drive from wlr to Nlr only to see a sign on the door! Again, professionally, change your out going message to say you are closed and leave an emergency number. Today I Ended up walking in at 1 to see they were not busy, no1 waiting, and funny enough open! I could not rely on this vet, literally! Very rude and unprofessional. I did not get told sorry, or any type of understanding or apology. Just that "we've been busy" when the lobby was completely empty and no dogs in the clinic. We not use them again. Read Less

My regular vet had retired, and he recommended Dr. Faulk to me. My 12 year old dog all of a sudden could not get up. I was so scared. I called Dr. Faulk and we brought her in. He spent so much time with us, and let us know how serious it was. He said we could try steroids for a few days and see if there was improvement. There was not and two days later we brought her back to be put to sleep. Again, they spent so much time with us. They were kind, caring and gentle. We appreciate them so much. Our cats now have a new doctor. Read Less

I had my Pomeranian groomed at Vets and Pets for the first time and the groomer butchered my dog -- looked liked a 3 year old got ahold of a pair of scissors and just hacked away at my dog.  They refused to refund my money or even let me talk to the vets.  Eddy, the groomer, is obviously not qualified.   I could not believe that they would send a "groomed" dog looking like that bad.  It was so horrible looking, I took my dog to Petsmart where the master groomer said that it looked like someone did it on purpose - as if angry at the dog.  It is also very troubling that the "vets" allow a obviously untrained groomer to deal with animals who are usually frightened and away from their owners.   I'm too scared of these people to have them ever treat my dog medically again.   I felt like my dog was abused by these people.  I have never been that upset over a transaction in my 50 years. We took our newly adopted dog there for her first checkup and tick removal. We specifically told him that she is a fear biter and does not like to be picked up. He insisted that she be picked up and put on the table. She went to the bathroom everywhere and she tried to bite him (as we warned she would do) and he got so mad and made political comments about sending her "mess" to the White House, which infuriated my husband and I. I thought he was rude and harsh with our dog and very unprofessional. He then told us that she would never be a good dog since she had been in a shelter for so long and would never be socialized. She has been a PERFECT dog for us, she just obviously didn't like him....and her parents didn't either! I WOULD NOT recommend this vet. Staff was friendly, but the vet was not...he needs to GO!
