Welcome to VCA Mission Animal Hospital located in beautiful Alhambra, CA. We are a full service veterinary hospital for dogs and cats, with a comfortable and climate-controlled boarding area and grooming facility. VCA Mission Animal Hospital has been in the heart of the San Gabriel Valley for 40+ years. We are 2 doctor practice nestled on the corner of Mission Road and 1st Street and we are open 6 days a week. We are a full service veterinary hospital dedicated to offering the best medicine at a reasonable price. We offer a low cost vaccination clinic on special days of the month that is open to the residents of Alhambra and all neighboring communities. Our hospital is also fully-accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). In every case, you'll be served by experienced, knowledgeable members of our hospital. I took my 4 1/2 month old $2,000 Bengal to get fixed, when I went to pick him up, they had left (forgotten) a catheter in his front leg. Just as I was ready to leave and looked at him in his carrier I...
I took my 4 1/2 month old $2,000 Bengal to get fixed, when I went to pick him up, they had left (forgotten) a catheter in his front leg. Just as I was ready to leave and looked at him in his carrier I could see it, unbelievable!! This is totally unacceptable , animal care 101 from a vet is to check the animal before giving him back to the owner. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THIS BUT PURE CARELESSNESS! I would not trust this assembly line vet that obviously has unqualified staff members. There also was NO follow up to check on the condition of our cat! The manager did call me at my request and was well aware of the situation and what happened. They tried to down play it as if it was no big deal. It is a big deal, I was just about out the door with my cat when I saw the catheter in his arm, he could have pulled it out by the time I got home. This is absolutely ridiculous !! Don''t trust this vet!! And their response here shows how insincere they are, they don't want to admit what they did! The manager did acknowledge they screwed up in the phone call but offered nothing to compensate for their carelessness!

My dog loves it there... and the staff is great !!! they take great care of my dog.. they have the boarding kennels there staff is GREAT!!!! I have gone to other pet hospitals and the service wasn't so great because of the breed of my Dog , but not here. VCA take great care of my Dog ... Thank you VCA and all the Staff here in this Office Thank you....

If you are a first time visitor here with an emergency...dont expect to be seen by the doctor.... I got here at about 5:20 p.m. and they were not closing till 7 p.m. with the cat who was in distress a...
If you are a first time visitor here with an emergency...dont expect to be seen by the doctor.... I got here at about 5:20 p.m. and they were not closing till 7 p.m. with the cat who was in distress and they weren't willing to squeeze me in at all. I saw the doctor peek out and did not seem to be in a rush at all... but at any rate they foisted me on the 24 hour care on Huntington Drive which was extremely expensive and also wasted about 2 or 3 hours of my time on a business night so wasn't happy about that. Snh. The good news & the reason why I still give it 3 stars even though I was disappointed was that they have a coffee service in the lobby for their clients...it's clean and the front desk staff seems to be very helpful & kind so despite the fact that the doctors weren't willing to take a look at a cat in distress I imagine if you're a regular here you probably get decent treatment. If they don't know you though I would not bring my cat or dog here if your cat is in an emergency situation.

Great, friendly staff. We brought in our Rottweiler puppy for the first time here. We loved everything about this Hospital. From the very friendly front desk staff to the veterinarian technicians to their great Doctor Kaplan. Dr. Took his time to hear and address any of our concerns and questions. He also provided great training tips!. Every staff member showed care and affection for our pet. We highly recommend this place!
