I take all of my pets there (dog, cats and chickens). All of the providers are fantastic (Dr Vanderhoof, Dr Sloan and Dr Dawson). And the staff is absolutely superb. They really care about my pets (even the chickens) and provide call backs and don't try to up sell, which I very much appreciate. Facilities are clean. Great hours. And plenty of parking.

Dr Vanderhoof is an absolute angel, amazingly kind my animals, and with hands that perform surgical miracles.. too notch animal Care. My cats and dogs have always been treated with thoughtful attention, and genuine compassion by the entire staff. I'd highly recommend Dr. Vanderhoof to anyone who asked, and I'd insist that my friends go to him.

Contrary to every vet that I have ever seen in a region that is concerned about Heart Worm, this vets office said that testing yearly was unnecessary. The office wasn't concerned with the medical history of the pet. They also ask for your social security number and drivers license before treatment. In the years that I have had pets, I have never had a vet's office require such an extensive amount personal information and a lack of pet information.

All of the vets and staff at Vanderhoof Veterinary Hospital are exceptional and I trust all of my animals to their care and skills.
At 8 months old, my dachshund Sam suddenly eviscerated after faulty emergency exploratory surgery. It was a Saturday morning and after I walked in, in full panic mode, Dr. Sloan did immediate surgery and saved his life. Vanderhoof Hospital took him in and cared for him like he was their own, full recovery. At 10 years old, Sam developed back issues, he is a dachshund after all, and Dr. Sloan performed spinal surgery. Again, full and fabulous recovery. I would trust any surgical issues to Dr. Sloan.

Doctor Vanderhoof is fantastic with my cats. I trust all of them and their loving care of all animals. They were loving and gentle with my 21 year old calico Fayfay until she died. Actually Roberta tried to give her mouth to mouth. Dr, Vanderhoof tried to explain to Chirp, one of my cats to stay out of fights or move a little faster. I have never felt they were over charging me. Their prices are quite reasonable. They truly care about your pets and you.
