Equine Veterinary Associates Inc. (EVA) has been operating continuously as a full service ambulatory practice in Orange County, California for more than 50 years providing routine and emergency care for clients. The current senior partners were both clients of EVA as youth riders, and continue the same commitment to client education, quality care and advocacy for our patients that was the vision of the original founders. Our Equine Veterinarian doctors and associates have the capabilities and expertise to manage the most difficult medical cases in the field and the contacts to refer demanding surgical or medical cases to any one of several local surgical facilities. Our practice philosophy involves a deep respect for the special needs of our equine patients and the appreciation of our client's economic restrictions. I want to thank E.V.A for the last 34 years of service. Dr. Treser has seen us through good times and bad. He has been our support through all of our horse related decisions, whether it's breeding, lameness, euthanasia, etc. The thing I like most about him is that he talks to us in layman terms so we understand what he's doing and how we will proceed. There's never a problem getting an appt. Carol is absolutely wonderful at getting our shot clinics arranged long with any other visit we need by Dr. Treser. My only concern is that he will retire before I'm done owning horses.... his compassion can not be matched! Thank you Dr. Treser!!

As a 27+year Professional Recreational Trail Trainer and Equine Care Provider specializing in short and long term Vet-advised treatment and recovery programs with a long standing working relationship with EVA i.e Dr Kirk Pollard and Dr David Tressor. I can say without a shadow of doubt that this group of Equine Vets are the best in Orange County and Beyond! Professional, Knowledgeable, Diligent, with the Highest Degree of Respect to their clients new and/or old.
They are all well versed in the newest protocols in the Equine Medical field and in industry trends yet still strong in their personal experience with "tired and true" methods of treating the body and mind of our horses...
IMHO EVA does their best to satisfy the routine appointments and daily needs of all their clientele in the most professional manner possible... Prioritizing the unforeseen and accidental injury and/or illnesses we have all faced will always be something any equine vet has to deal with on a daily sometimes hourly basis and I will say that if one of my scheduled appt gets bumped back or asked to reschedule its because these amazing caring vets are scrambling to save a life and I'm glad they're on my team!
So Do Not hesitate to call for an appointment if you are new to the area or just looking unto a new team of doctors to back you and your horse's health and happiness! Happy Trails!

Dr. Treser and Carol, his office manager, have been an essential and superb part of the team helping my elderly mother maintain her small elderly "herd"; 4 horses. Dr. Treser has been kind and friendly, knowledgeable and compassionate; always taking time to talk with my mom. He is so understanding about the challenges her age and health present. We recently had to euthanize her pony that was 60+ years (truthfully) after many years of helping the pony to live a full and happy life. Dr. Treser was so gentle with both the pony and my mom making it an experience my mom described as "beautiful." I cannot really express the gratitude I have for this man and his team. Carol has been consistently helpful and responsive via both phone and email and all the billing has been blissfully smooth. I would recommend this practice to anyone.

The communication from this team is terrible. We had waited over two weeks for a simple blood test. They have no sense of urgency and will not be recommending them to anyone. There is a reason why Dr. Secor's office is the most well known. They came out and took care of my horse within one day when this office couldn't even help within two weeks. Very unprofessional practice.

I have been using EVA's services for 20+ years. But for 10 yrs i was the manager of a Friesian ranch and had the privilege of using Dr.Velena for all of my Reproduction needs. Dr. V had a 80% success rate every year with the ranches 42 mares. Going above and beyond her duties as our vet. She would show up 3 times a day often to share concerns,follow up and just tell us something new we could try. As many in the repro world know Friesian's can be anything but easy to get in foal ! Dr.V was a pleasure to work with as were everyone from the clinic.

I have been a client of EVA for about 20 years and have found Dr. Treser, Carol and staff to be nothing but caring and professional. Whether you need routine care or a more technical medical diagnosis, EVA has the expertise to diagnose, manage, and treat whatever the issue might be. Making an appointment is easy and convenient and in cases where a pre-purchase exam might need to be done on short notice or required vaccinations done before a horse show, they always find a way to make it happen. Dr. Treser has gone out of his way to take care of my horses and during the rare emergency, has even been to my house twice in one day. It is not unusual for Dr. Treser to check on your horse after hours. The personal care and service provided by EVA goes above and beyond and I highly recommend their services for all of your horse care.

I have been a client of Dr. Kirk Pollard and Equine Veterinary Associates for over 25 years. Growing from a single horse owner to a high performance / FEI dressage professional, Dr. Pollard and his staff have placed the bar extremely high for veterinary care.
From the simplest of routine care, to the most difficult and challenging diagnosis, to the inevitable middle of the weekend night colic call, Dr. Pollard and his entire EVA staff have only exhibited professionalism and empathetic care. Dr. Pollard, in particular, is a master at diagnosing difficult soundness issues, and offers conservative, effective solutions and treatment plans.
I can't recommend Equine Veterinary Associates highly enough! As I prepare to relocate to the east coast, I will be at a loss without Dr. Pollard and Equine Veterinary Associates.

Dr. Treser and the staff at EVA have been our exclusive attending vet/clinic at Sand River Ranch, Norco Ca. since it inception in 1992 & Diamond B Ranch in Norco (our prior ranch) from 1989 to 1992. Dr. Treser's level of expertise & knowledge, his caring & compassionate nature with his equine patients and their owners is unsurpassed. He is ALWAYS there for us whatever the hour or day ! He has attended to colon prolapses at 2 AM, dystocia's at 3 AM, colic's on his b-day, stiches on holidays, the list is very long, wish I had room to elaborate. Each and every time he is consistent in his quality of care, attention to detail & follow-up. He has called or stopped by to "check" on a foal or a sick horse on his own time so many times I can't count. He is never in a fowl mood, regardless of the hour or inconvenience to his "real life & family".

EVA has been a great practice for me and my horses. Dr. Pollard is very thorough, and willing to educate the horse owner on best management to keep their horses healthy. Dr. Tresser once rolled out on the 4th of July holiday when he wasn't even the on-call vet. And Dr. Wasmund has helped us realize our dream of breeding a foal from our mare, despite multiple challenges. Carol in the office has always been helpful and courteous. I'm very impressed with these folks, and glad I have vets like them to keep my horses in good health and treat them when they're ill.

EVA has provided my horses with top-quality veterinary care for many, many years. I have utilized their services for everything from routine vaccines to complex medical issues and sadly, euthanasia. In every circumstance, the doctors have been caring, compassionate toward both equine and human, and straight-forward and honest in evaluations. Dr. Kirk Pollard is a fabulous practitioner, and I respect his medical opinion always. I recommend EVA to anyone who truly cares about their horses and their well-being.

Having just read the review posted by another person, I feel I must give you all a honest opinion from a real client. First, and foremost, all the doctors I have had the pleasure to deal with are professional, caring and compassionate. Having been a client for many years, I have used the vets for routine shots/wellness exams, and had to call for emergencies of various types. Day or night, weekends, rain or sweltering heat, never have I had a bad experience. On those worst of occasions, when I have had to put down one of my horses, I received nothing but kindness and empathy for myself and my horses. I have recommended both EVA and especially, Dr. Kirk Pollard, to many, many people. And will continue to do so. As long as I have horses, Dr. Pollard and the other wonderful vets at EVA will be who I will call.

I found an injured dove in the parking lot of their office. I brought the bird into the office and it was obviously in distress and hurt. Debbie ignored me for about 2 minutes while I stood in front of her. She told the person on the other line to hold. I asked if there was a vet in the office. She said " NO! They work in the field! I explained the situation. she just stared at me. I asked her what to do with the bird she stared more. I asked if she could call animal control and she said "Yes but you are going to have to wait til I am off of the phone!" She continued to talk about their contract with the mounted police and a 40 page fax and ignoring me.She was saying that if there is going to be police in a funeral or a parade that they need a vet on staff." I waved to her that I was going to take the bird and she completely ignored my waves and just glared at me. I just cant believe that there is such a rude person working in animal services. I sent my friend to ask her again and she continued to talk about their contract with the mounted police and a 40 page fax.blagh blagh blagh. RUDE STAFF!!!! I would find a warmer vet if I were you. Just calloused cold and pretentious.

I want to thank E.V.A for the last 34 years of service. Dr. Treser has seen us through good times and bad. He has been our support through all of our horse related decisions, whether it's breeding, lameness, euthanasia, etc. The thing I like most about him is that he talks to us in layman terms so we understand what he's doing and how we will proceed. Dr. Treser and Carol, his office manager, have been an essential and superb part of the team helping my elderly mother maintain her small elderly "herd"; 4 horses. Dr. Treser has been kind and friendly, knowledgeable and compassionate; always taking time to talk with my mom. He is so understanding about the challenges her age and health present. We recently had to euthanize her pony that was 60+ years (truthfully) after many years of helping the pony to live a full and happy life. The communication from this team is terrible. We had waited over two weeks for a simple blood test. They have no sense of urgency and will not be recommending them to anyone. Everyone at EVA has provided top notch service and information that is valuable to me as a horse owner. I would highly recommend EVA.

Whether you need routine care or a more technical medical diagnosis, EVA has the expertise to diagnose, manage, and treat whatever the issue might be. EVA has been a great practice for me and my horses. Dr. Pollard is very thorough, and willing to educate the horse owner on best management to keep their horses healthy. Dr. Tresser once rolled out on the 4th of July holiday when he wasn't even the on-call vet.
