I am at a loss for words when it comes to describing this amazing office of loving, caring, devoted people.....from Dr Von Kopp to each of the techs and all support staff everyone is lovely and expresses the utmost of human and animal kindness. EVERYONE at this vet is WONDERFUL!! I had to take my cat to the emergency vet over the weekend, and he wasn't getting better so I called the Stockdale Vet Hospital. They got me in right away. Dr. Van Koop was very kind and explained everything very well. I ended having to leave my baby at the vet overnight, and he had to be put under anesthesia while I was traveling for work. I called hours before the vet told me to, just to check on my kitty. The person who answered the phone was very patient with me, and put me on hold so she could go back to the kennels, look at my cat, love on him, and report back to me that he came out of the anesthesia fine and was looking for lots of love, which she assured me everyone there was happy to give. My baby is feeling better now, but I am so grateful to this vet office for their patience and the love and attention they gave my cat. Also, unlike other vets I've been to, I didn't feel like they were trying to price gouge me. The cost of treatment was very reasonable, and they weren't trying to push anything outlandish on me. I have been taking my animals here for 30 years. Obviously I'm satisfied with the level of care my furry family members are always given. The front office staff is is always caring, calm & courteous. They love the patients. The back office staff are so compassionate & loving that you can't help but feel that your baby is in the best of hands. The docs themselves set the tone for the whole office. I went to pick up a 5 year old dog that was being rehomed. Staff was great. I was told that she only had one eye but was blind. I was told the vet had checked her and she was healthy. I paid the rehoming fee. I took her home and noticed the other eye was always weepy with fluids and took her to my vet to check for infection. He said 30% percent of the eye was still in the bowl. He suggested it be removed and the eye be stitched close. I wanted to avoid painful infections for which is why I took her. Dr. Said if it became infected it could turn to cancer. I scheduled her surgery and paid the bill. My question is why didn't the doc at Stockdale tell me this information? It delayed her care. Why didn't he tell me her teeth were broken which is another thing we will have to keep an eye on for her well being. Doesn't he care about the animals he checks for rehoming? Does he really check them? Or is the fee I was charged part of a scam? Her eye needed treatment and was delayed due to his negligence. No trust in Stockdale Vet.Read Less

I was able to get a next day appointment to get an X-ray done on my dog. The girls at the front desk were so sweet and helpful. They answered all of my questions over the phone. When I went in today it's was lots of hugs and petting for my super size mastiff. The girls actually came around the front desk to give my girl lots of love. The Vet was very nice and listened to my concerns. I will never go to another vet office. Great Staff, Great Vet & Great prices also. Read Less

On a Thursday morning I received a text message from the friend I was house sitting for saying their four month old puppy hurt its leg and I needed to take her to the vet because they had a plane to catch. I picked up their dog and arrived at the vet around 9:30 am. The only complaint I have about the facility is the lack of parking in the parking lot. There is only a handful of spots and if there aren't any left you have to park on the street. Luckily if you park on the street it's not to far from the door in case you have to carry your animals. Once inside I was helped immediately by a very welcoming and caring staff member and was taken back to the exam room within minutes. The Dr. only took a few short minutes to get into the room and ex the puppy. She took the time to explain everything she was looking for and what they wanted to do. She said they would need to keep the dog for x-rays and possibly stay the night to see a specialist the next morning. She said they would call and keep me informed on how the dog was doing and I was free to call whenever I liked. I was called at least 3 times Thursday and was given updates. The puppy ended up staying the night and most of the day Friday and was well taken care of. She was put in a cute pink cast. The staff was just as friendly and informative as when I dropped her off. The vet took the time to show me pictures of her x-rays and showed me what they did. I will recommend this vet to family and friends.Read Less

1st appointment today and I walked out without the meds for my dog. When I called to say I'd be right back, she said she'd bring them to me after work (we both live very close to the office).
