I really wanted to not only like this vet, but with a new puppy I wanted to build a life long relationship with a vet. This is my third and last visit. The first visit was a well puppy visit 3 days after I brought my new guy home. I had to wait over 45 minutes to see to actual vet, who we saw for less then 10 minutes. The second visit was just for his second round of vaccinations, we waited 40 minutes just for a vet tech to get him and bring him back. There wasn't a vet visit scheduled, which was fine. Now we have waited ?? for his third round of shots (no vet visit). I don't mind waiting a few minutes, even 30-45 if it's an unusually circumstance. My problem is that the receptionist completely ignores people when you walk in, until she's ready to deal with you. Just a 'Hello, be right with you' or even a sign in sheet would be helpful and allows me to know that I'm not completely invisible to you, because that's how you make me feel. I was waiting today as she was checking in two other dogs. No acknowledgement of me, no way to check in. So I'm standing there for 15 minutes, people are coming and going. A dog comes out of the exam room, and when she's done checking in the 2 dogs, she checks out the woman who left the exam room. It's still standing there, 15 minutes later, and I still haven't been even greeted. I decided not to continue with this office when I realized they do 'intake' in the lobby as you're sitting in the waiting room and they are behind the desk. I'm not a fan of sharing all my dogs info with everyone else in the waiting room, it happened the 3 times I went in, so I'm assuming it's the norm. I know hippa doesn't apply to pets, but I just don't like sharing all the information with everyone in earshot. I have never been to a vet that didn't do this in an exam room. I can only assume they do it to save time and not take up an exam room (it's a very small practice, I think they only have one or two exam rooms). I get that, but how about asking me to come to the front desk to ask about my pets health and why I'm there. Or have the person come and sit next to me, but shouting info across the waiting room is just not for me. Read Less
