I have gone to this clinic for about twenty years.  In the past few years I've seen them go downhill.  I recently switched to a different Vet in Redlands.  Dr. Price had been our Vet at the Calimesa Clinic but recently on a teeth cleaning for our precious dog he did not explain things well at all (he seemed preoccupied) and I left confused.  The front office staff is a big problem at this clinic too, they are not very helpful and the lady who dies her hair very strange colors is also an issue that customers shouldn't have to deal with.  Watch your bill because they mess up and overcharge sometimes.  I don't know why things went down hill but I decided to go elsewhere.  One problem may be that this clinic is owned by a vet who resides in Riverside, but does not work at the clinic (and has not in the last 20 years). There are not enough words to describe the compassionate and loving care Dr. Ngo gave our little guy. He suffered from congestive heart failure and kidney disease. The last 2 years of his life were very difficult, Dr. Ngo gave me the support, encouragement and professional advice I needed to get through those days.  I fully trusted all her advice and saw him improve many times when I thought we had come to the end. My little furbaby even gave her puppy kisses when he was in the clinic. When it was time  and his kidneys and heart could no longer take it anymore, Dr. Ngo lovingly helped us through one of the most difficult moments.  When the time comes and we are ready to adopt again, there is no question Dr. Ngo will be trusted to care once more for our new family member. Dr. Ken was so friendly, down to earth, and gentle with our pup when she was in pain and we brought her in for a torn dew claw. He got down on the floor with her, gave her a belly rub, and wrapped her paw in a different way that she actually left alone for two days (NEVER happens with her, she usually bites it off within the first hour when she has something on her feet.) Every staff member we encountered was friendly and kind to both our dog and sons, and they were able to fit us into a busy schedule at the end of the day due to the emergency nature of our dog's injury. Reminds me why we took our last dog there when we lived in Redlands! Give them a shot, they are reasonably priced and will take great care of your furry loved one. Read Less

I had made appointment for my dogs to have a nail clipping. I wish I had known when I came in that they also needed to have an exam. The staff is adequate & the Dr. is very good but I am on a very strict budget and this was a $36 bill that ran into a $97. bill. Had they told me that I needed to have to dogs examined first I would have not gone because I really couldn't afford it. I am a senior that has a very limited budged and this type of expense was not in my budget. Because of the non disclosure of the exams I will not be going back to this vet which is just a couple of miles from my house. I will shop around. & by the way they missed one of the dew claws that desperately needed to be cut. Not good. Read Less

The clinic is staffed by pleasant people. The care they have provided my animals has been adequate. If you are on a budget you may want to shop around first. Of the veterinarians I have used I find this practice to be more expensive than others for the same services. Read Less

Dr. Price and his wonderful staff has helped my family for years. He has been our primary vet for our dogs/kids and has been honest, inexpensive and always helpful. Recently we had to put our American Bulldog down and it was a huge ordeal because Tank has been with us for 9 and half blessed years. This clinic was number 3 on phone calls we made about a month ago. We found 2 newborn kittens in our driveway, obviously mama had second thoughts. They not only took them off our hands to attempt to save their little, innocent lives, they smiled and thanked us. I have no idea if the little guys made it,as I was too afraid to hear they didn't live, so I didn't call, but they gave it their best shot and I am forever grateful.  We attempted two other places and they didn't even bothering offering much advice. The staff here is very caring and compassionate. Our family had to put our kitty to sleep today and the staff was so gentle, not only with our cat, but with us too. Oliver is my cat, he had a urinary tract infection which may have killed him. They took excellent care of him, cleared up the infection, put him on a great prescription cat food, yearly check-ups and his health is wonderful. Thank you to the Staff and Vet. The front office needs a huge lesson in customer service. After receiving a phone message that the ordered cat food is in, I drive to pick it up. This is within 90 minutes of receiving the message. I get the lame excuse they gave my food to another person. Then another tech brings out the correct food, but the blue-haired staff person says it is for someone else.To add insult and totally waste my time, I ask if they can put in an order and I'm told that Monday is the only day they are allowed to order. Never mind it's their mistake and it is only Wed. After this bombshell, I ask for a prescription so I can get it from another vet that has the correct one in stock. The blue-haired staff person tells me that I would need to bring her (female) in for a check-up before they would write a prescription. I tell her the cat is a male and I'm leaving. Talk about a waste of time!!  I'll never be back at this location. Read Less

My mom took her dog here because she was weak and throwing up a lot they told her she simply had a stomach flu and gave her antibiotics and sent her home i had a feeling it was more than that she was so weak n throwing up so much 2 days later she died they obviously don't know how to properly check on a sick animal rest in doggy heaven Harley :,( Read Less

Always nice, professional and I trust them with my pets. I have been using this vet for over 10 years and have never had a single problem. I can't say as much for other vets in town. 5 stars for Dr. Price, but 2 stars for unreasonable tests and costs, without proper diagnosis!Dr. Price is very personal and caring.  I really DO like him.  He is always so caring with my two dogs. Unfortunately, he apparently needs to to pay his large staff.  There are always at least 3 techs, just kind of 'hovering'. The point is:  I really like Dr. Price, because he really does spend a lot of time with us.  He, personally, is a wonderful Veterinarian. Sadly, looking back over all of my bills, from CALIMESA VETERINARY CLINIC, I am upset. EVERY TIME that I brought my 12, 13, 14 plus year old SAM that they obviously had ten years of records on...THEY(DR. PRICE), always 'ordered' A 'complete' series of tests...always including...4 mandatory" SENIOR" XRAYS, plus at least 3 or 4 'Complete Blood tests", of course.  Always, at least, $400.00, and then, always..."He is Fine" or, "It could be a lot of things, or just his age."  ?????When I took him to Green Valley Veterinary, Dr Ellis was so caring, and calm with Sam.  He completely diagnosed him, and figured out the problem in minutes, without hundreds of dollars of tests, and stress. My long suffering 15 year old Sam seems to have 'new life' and is no longer itching, licking, scratching 24 hours a day.  He is so much happier. Read Less

I have been going here for years after much disappointment to several other Vets in the area. They have ALWAYS treated my pets and myself with respect. Not only do they care about the health of your pet but they also understand financial restrictions families might have and work with them in that aspect.Yesterday I had to put my Best Friend Max to sleep after 12 years and all of us, including Max were treated with care, respect and love. They made a devastating event easier because of true concern and competence. I highly recommend them and they have my business as long as I live in this area. Read Less

My pets are well taken care of when they are there. My poor pup had to get stitches twice and they were so kind and helpful. If you live in the Yucaipa/ Calimesa area this place is the best. I do not recommend the vet on Yucaipa blvd. Read Less
