Pleasant Valley Animal Hospital

Camarillo, California
General Info
Pleasant Valley Animal Hospital, Camarillo, makes veterinary care a part of pets’ lives rather than an event while securing the steady quality of living for California households. The beginning of the visit is when the animals could start going in at any pace they wanted. Staff observe how cats move around the space, the time it takes for them to settle down, and which sensory cues (touch, sound, or scent) trigger any reactions. Examinations will consider the following aspects: body hydration, skin tension, limbs’ mobility and flexibility, dental and coat condition, and weight distribution. This method also pays close attention to intricate details regarding sleep pattern changes, feeding habits, and household energy levels. Pleasant Valley Animal Hospital provides vaccinations, bloodwork, mobility, dental planning, and preventive guidance. Additionally, it gives surgical support and long-term care based on blood work analyses. The services develop and integrate step by step according to the pet’s senses. Some families choose to receive multiple short visits, and others opt for a few longer visits combined with resources sent home. Each plan emanates from the family’s ability to implement it, which considers the caregiver’s emotional burdens and the pet’s resilience levels and requires the availability of transport for household scheduling routines. The appointment enables the patient to ask questions and take any additional notes on the management of the condition or share their story, which is especially beneficial for new adopters. Pleasant Valley Animal Hospital helps pet families throughout Camarillo and the surrounding California communities to integrate care into their lives as a natural rhythm rather than something fearful or avoidable, creating opportunities for connection and sustainable wellness. The team offers the following specialized services: Allergy Testing, Behavioral Counseling, Bloodwork, Boarding, and Cardiology. Clients consistently compliment the practice’s dedication to care and attention to pets’ needs. Whether it is a routine check-up or a complicated surgery, the clinic staffs ensure that your pet receives the best care possible in a friendly and peaceful setting. Advanced diagnostics and treatment options such as Cold Laser Therapy, Dental Care, Dental Radiographs, Dermatology, and Diagnostics are available on-site to streamline your pet’s care.

Brought our dog in 3 times for the same problem of swelling to her eye, and grinding of her teeth— I suggested a possible tooth abscess —and both vets said they had no idea what was wrong— it must be a big bite. She was given unnecessary steroid shots and other medicine we paid for — also told I would need to spend an additional $800 for. Teeth cleaning for them to look more in depth... then brought our dog to Mason Vet in Moorpark— and within 10 minutes, they told me she has a tooth abscess—and found pus at the abscess tooth line! to get it removed with a Cleaning would cost $200!! I called pleasant valley vet and my case was reviewed—and I was told the abscess probably happened in between the few days I saw them and took her to Mason Clinic in Moorpark! No responsibility taken..,in fact — was offered a discount of the teeth cleaning which would be $650 instead of $800! Seriously!?! This place use to have a great VET— but he has retired — and I have NO. Confidence in these new DOCTORS— ... don’t trust Them... or think they have the knowledge... I would not go there again! Ever! He also told me that a dog I raised since she was a puppy, and is now 2, was at least 5-6 years old! And he knew this based on her teeth...??? I kept telling him I had her as a puppy! But what do I know! The only plus is they can get you in same day appointments ( now I know why) and hospital staff is very nice! Bring your pet to somewhere that you feel confident in the care—- this place would not be it ! I spent over $700 for no answers, and to be told I would need to spend $890 more for answers?! Check out Mason Vet in Moorpark! Worth the time , the drive and the wait!! Read Less

Bad vet - stay away from these crooks. Try to shake you down at every opportunity with phony exams and "blood work" that'll run you $500 per visit. Wouldn't even give our dog her seizure medicine until we "paid up" and brought her in for some expensive tests that she doesn't need. All she needed was her pills but they refused. Obviously they are out to gouge you and care more about money than your pets health. Stay away- you have been warned! Read Less

Dr. Heath is truly the urban James Herriot. I have seen this man over the years, literally perform miracles that more than once made whole animals that were by most vets standing, a lost cause, and would undoubtedly have been euthanized. He has been what I feel, a pioneer in areas as specialized as they come, and even in his years, has a steady and healing hand. We have put our faith in him since I was a child, and I'm an oldster now! Thanks, kids.... Read Less
