My family has been taking our dogs and cats to the Cameron Park Veterinary Hospital for nearly 20 years now. They know their stuff, they are kind to all of our animals, even my wiggly Yorkie! I thought my Yorkie would need surgery for luxating patella in both back legs, but Dr. Margaret told me honestly she felt as if behavioral training would be a better option to keep my dog from lunging at other dogs during walks, and therefore hurting himself. I highly recommend these vets!!!

Compassionate, knowledgeable, and professional describes the vets, technicians and office staff of this practice. They respond to our phone calls promptly if we have questions about an ongoing health problem. We have been taking our cats there for over 10 years. Highly recommended if you live in the area with cats or dogs as part of your family.

Great service from friendly staff and vets. In addition to regular medical care, we've used their day boarding for our elderly dog since his usual doggie daycare seemed to start to put him out of sorts (too much going on for him there). He seems much more happier now with day boarding at Cameron Park Veterinary Hospital.

We just moved here and unfortunately needed to put our dog to sleep. Was an unbearably sad day (still tearing up about every two hours) but these guys handled my crazy phone call in the AM to taking ...
We just moved here and unfortunately needed to put our dog to sleep. Was an unbearably sad day (still tearing up about every two hours) but these guys handled my crazy phone call in the AM to taking the best care of my little Tucker (and my husband). They were kind, gave great explanations, made sure everything we thought was happening was correct and handled the all details of our frantic~ness. They were SO compassionate. I spoke with them the day after and received a card in the mail today. When we get our next furry family member they will be our vet! Thank you Dr. Stan! RIP Tucker.

The doctors here helped to take care of our older female cat. She had lost a lot of weight. They ordered the appropriate lab tests and diagnosed her with kidney failure. They gave us all of our options. We opted to do subcutaneous fluids and they patiently taught me how to do it at home. We purchased the fluids and needles there, and they were very reasonable. We came in for check ups and follow up blood work, they were never anything but compassionate and patient. Our girl lived the remainder of her life feeling better. When the inevitable time came when we had to let her go, the vet and the male assistant were nothing but kind. I read about the male tech being to rough on another review, but we did not experience that. He was very gentle with her, told us how beautiful she was and even kissed her head and said goodbye to her.We also take our older golden retriever there. She was not feeling well. The vet suggested the blood work she would suggest, but gave us options and never made us feel forced into tests. We opted for tests and were called back the very next morning with her diagnosis. We picked up her medicine the next day, and now, two weeks later, she is back to her old self. I feel their fees are very reasonable, and we have received two follow up calls to see how she was feeling. I recommend them highly as we have only had good experiences with them. We also do all routine shots, etc. there. Great service.

This facility has been keeping my dogs healthy and alive for the last 12 years. Dr. Stan and Dr. Margaret are both graduates of the Davis Veterinary school which is one of the most respected in the country. Dr. Sarah had the thankless task of helping us with our neurotic Labrador Retriever, Charity, for most of that time. She had constant anxiety attacks from wind, thunder, fireworks and any loud noise and after trying several medications, we finally found something my wife and I and Charity could use to live together in harmony.I have the highest respect for the people at this facility and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone to take care of their pets.

I explained my situation and was told they were booked for the day and wouldn't see me, even though we have been going here for a while. They just didn't care. Only two of the three vets are capable anyway, the male vet tech is too rough, and they have subpar facilities. I will never go back.

I love all the staff here. My kids were a little high energy while my dog was nervous and getting examined, and the assistant was so patient and awesome. She took them over to see one of the cats that was being boarded and was really watchful that they didn't get too close and scratched. Overall they are not pushy when it comes to vaccinations and procedures. They gave me all the info and options and didn't try to up sell me at all. The building looks old on the outside but the place is very professional and well run. We always get a follow up call to see how our dog is doing after a visit ; )

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Stan, Dr. Margaret, Dr. Sara , J.D. and their office staff. I have been taking my dogs there since I moved to Cameron Park. They have helped me in immesurable ways. I used to rescue elderly dogs that no one else would take because of their age and special health needs. Since several of them wer VERY sick when they came to us, we only had them for a year or two. In fact, one little girl was only with us about 6 weeks before she went into multiple organ failure. When we have reached the "end of the road", Cameron Park Veterinary Hospital was there for us and our four-footed babies. They are compassionate and caring, animal loving people who go out of teir way to help an animal in trouble.We now have three fairly healthy pups, all Shih Tzus, all rescued, all "mature" dogs with unknown birthdates. One was a Katrina orphan who came to us via San Jose and is blind. Our little boy came from a kill shelter in Madera. The third one was a little girl found confined with other dogs in a garage in the Bay Area and rescued by animal control. CPVH helps us keep up to date with vaccinations and heartworm prevention. In fact, I have a reminder that two of "the kids" need updates on their rabies shots. I don't know what I would do without this great veterinary group!!!

So not sure how this place got 5 stars, here is my story...Took my dog in for itchy feet, she has allergies and chews them. They asked if I wanted my dogs nails trimmed, I said that was fine. A male assistant came in and proceeded to cut her nails he cute two of them down to the quick and she bled everywhere. My dog mouthed at him (mad no contact whatsoever with him) and he said "don't you dare bite me". I felt like this was out of line, she was in pain, she literally had blood spurting from two toe nails. He put the quick-stop on it and that still wouldn't slow the bleeding. No one apologized to me for hurting my dog or his poor reaction to my dog being hurt. I treat my dog like I would a child and don't tolerate this type of service. When I went to pay for my visit I saw that they were charging me over $20 for a nail trim. I told the receptionist that given the experience I just had with the nail trim I couldn't believe that had the nerve to even charge me. She was rude, said it was standard practice and that was the price. I left in tears at how poorly my dog had been treated and will not return.They must have realized how much money they were losing because of this because I got a rediculous, over the top butt kissing voicemail about how much they wanted my business and how sorry they were. While I can appriciate the desire to make it right, I wouldn't take my child to a place that made no initial apologies for hurting my child and I won't do so with my dog! To be fair, the actual vet was very nice, its just the rest of his staff that deserve a one star

Dr. Stan and his crew are true professionals. I brought a stray in with what seemed like a broken leg. Dr. Stan thoroughly explained my options to try to help the little guy. If we had deep pockets, I would probably be trying to save all homeless animals (I so need to stop watching those sad commercials). Everything was laid out in black and white, I was able to make choices without any pressure or lectures. I'm so happy I went to them after calling about a dozen other places, including the animal shelter. I hope to make this stray ours and he becomes of permanent patient of Cameron Park Vet. Prices are very competitive.

What can I say. I moved to Folsom 11 years ago. I found out about them through my sister. She had six cats and they were all her babies. We started with our cat sneakers they treated her so kind.We had her for 17 yrs. thanks to their care.We had to put her down they even called us to make sure we were doing okay. Now I have a dog that is 13 1/2 her name is Eddie. They have taken care of her like no other. Dr. Stan the owner is the best you will ever find. Our Eddie had bladder cancer last yr. and she is doing great. We had the operation for her. I asked him what would he do if she was his he was so honest he told us the operation was expensive he said if we couldn't afford it then he would help us keep her comfortable until it was her time. She is like our child she is in charge at our house. I know her time is coming because she is getting old but I know they will help me again when that time comes. She is the most precious family member we have. Go to them you will never be sorry. Their fees are very reasonable. I would pay anything for my Eddie. kim XXXOOO to them

I wish they had a bumper sticker that read: "My cat can beat up your dog." 'Cause he has. Oh, my cat. He's a survivor. Outdoors and with other animals of all sizes, he's a bruiser. But inside, he's a bundle of love, affection ... and stinky ass breath. He's cost me more money than a healthy child, I'm quite certain and this last trip to the vet was no exception. This time, he was sneezing yuckiness and his fur had turned to rastafarian dread locks, complete with twigs and berries. The doctor that saw him was really amazing, knew her stuff and diagnosed him on the spot. They combed his hair and gave me some antibiotics and told me to expect more vet bills. I keep telling him (my cat) that he really needs to start earning his keep around here and that I'm gonna have to pull the tough love card, but he just laughs and reminds me that his lack of opposing thumbs and ability to smooth talk-meow me, make me silly putty in his paws. He so has my number. P.S. As I write this, he is snoring. Yeah, I'm a total sucker.

They gave us all of our options. We opted to do subcutaneous fluids and they patiently taught me how to do it at home. We purchased the fluids and needles there, and they were very reasonable. We came in for check ups and follow up blood work, they were never anything but compassionate and patient. Our girl lived the remainder of her life feeling better. When the inevitable time came when we had to let her go, the vet and the male assistant were nothing but kind. I read about the male tech being to rough on another review, but we did not experience that. He was very gentle with her, told us how beautiful she was and even kissed her head and said goodbye to her.We also take our older golden retriever there. She was not feeling well. The vet suggested the blood work she would suggest, but gave us options and never made us feel forced into tests. We opted for tests and were called back the very next morning with her diagnosis. We picked up her medicine the next day, and now, two weeks later, she is back to her old self. I feel their fees are very reasonable, and we have received two follow up calls to see how she was feeling. I recommend them highly as we have only had good experiences with them. We also do all routine shots, etc. there. Great service.

This facility has been keeping my dogs healthy and alive for the last 12 years. Dr. Stan and Dr. Margaret are both graduates of the Davis Veterinary school which is one of the most respected in the country. Dr. Sarah had the thankless task of helping us with our neurotic Labrador Retriever, Charity, for most of that time. She had constant anxiety attacks from wind, thunder, fireworks and any loud noise and after trying several medications, we finally found something my wife and I and Charity could use to live together in harmony.I have the highest respect for the people at this facility and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone to take care of their pets.

I explained my situation and was told they were booked for the day and wouldn't see me, even though we have been going here for a while. They just didn't care. Only two of the three vets are capable anyway, the male vet tech is too rough, and they have subpar facilities. I will never go back.

I love all the staff here. My kids were a little high energy while my dog was nervous and getting examined, and the assistant was so patient and awesome. She took them over to see one of the cats that was being boarded and was really watchful that they didn't get too close and scratched. Overall they are not pushy when it comes to vaccinations and procedures. They gave me all the info and options and didn't try to up sell me at all. The building looks old on the outside but the place is very professional and well run. We always get a follow up call to see how our dog is doing after a visit ; )

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Stan, Dr. Margaret, Dr. Sara , J.D. and their office staff. I have been taking my dogs there since I moved to Cameron Park. They have helped me in immesurable ways. I used to rescue elderly dogs that no one else would take because of their age and special health needs. Since several of them wer VERY sick when they came to us, we only had them for a year or two. In fact, one little girl was only with us about 6 weeks before she went into multiple organ failure. When we have reached the "end of the road", Cameron Park Veterinary Hospital was there for us and our four-footed babies. They are compassionate and caring, animal loving people who go out of teir way to help an animal in trouble.We now have three fairly healthy pups, all Shih Tzus, all rescued, all "mature" dogs with unknown birthdates. One was a Katrina orphan who came to us via San Jose and is blind. Our little boy came from a kill shelter in Madera. The third one was a little girl found confined with other dogs in a garage in the Bay Area and rescued by animal control. CPVH helps us keep up to date with vaccinations and heartworm prevention. In fact, I have a reminder that two of "the kids" need updates on their rabies shots. I don't know what I would do without this great veterinary group!!!

So not sure how this place got 5 stars, here is my story...Took my dog in for itchy feet, she has allergies and chews them. They asked if I wanted my dogs nails trimmed, I said that was fine. A male assistant came in and proceeded to cut her nails he cute two of them down to the quick and she bled everywhere. My dog mouthed at him (mad no contact whatsoever with him) and he said "don't you dare bite me". I felt like this was out of line, she was in pain, she literally had blood spurting from two toe nails. He put the quick-stop on it and that still wouldn't slow the bleeding. No one apologized to me for hurting my dog or his poor reaction to my dog being hurt. I treat my dog like I would a child and don't tolerate this type of service. When I went to pay for my visit I saw that they were charging me over $20 for a nail trim. I told the receptionist that given the experience I just had with the nail trim I couldn't believe that had the nerve to even charge me. She was rude, said it was standard practice and that was the price. I left in tears at how poorly my dog had been treated and will not return.They must have realized how much money they were losing because of this because I got a rediculous, over the top butt kissing voicemail about how much they wanted my business and how sorry they were. While I can appriciate the desire to make it right, I wouldn't take my child to a place that made no initial apologies for hurting my child and I won't do so with my dog! To be fair, the actual vet was very nice, its just the rest of his staff that deserve a one star

Dr. Stan and his crew are true professionals. I brought a stray in with what seemed like a broken leg. Dr. Stan thoroughly explained my options to try to help the little guy. If we had deep pockets, I would probably be trying to save all homeless animals (I so need to stop watching those sad commercials). Everything was laid out in black and white, I was able to make choices without any pressure or lectures. I'm so happy I went to them after calling about a dozen other places, including the animal shelter. I hope to make this stray ours and he becomes of permanent patient of Cameron Park Vet. Prices are very competitive.

What can I say. I moved to Folsom 11 years ago. I found out about them through my sister. She had six cats and they were all her babies. We started with our cat sneakers they treated her so kind.We had her for 17 yrs. thanks to their care.We had to put her down they even called us to make sure we were doing okay. Now I have a dog that is 13 1/2 her name is Eddie. They have taken care of her like no other. Dr. Stan the owner is the best you will ever find. Our Eddie had bladder cancer last yr. and she is doing great. We had the operation for her. I asked him what would he do if she was his he was so honest he told us the operation was expensive he said if we couldn't afford it then he would help us keep her comfortable until it was her time. She is like our child she is in charge at our house. I know her time is coming because she is getting old but I know they will help me again when that time comes. I wish they had a bumper sticker that read: "My cat can beat up your dog." 'Cause he has. Oh, my cat. He's a survivor. Outdoors and with other animals of all sizes, he's a bruiser. But inside, he's a bundle of love, affection ... and stinky ass breath. He's cost me more money than a healthy child, I'm quite certain and this last trip to the vet was no exception. This time, he was sneezing yuckiness and his fur had turned to rastafarian dread locks, complete with twigs and berries. The doctor that saw him was really amazing, knew her stuff and diagnosed him on the spot. They combed his hair and gave me some antibiotics and told me to expect more vet bills. I keep telling him (my cat) that he really needs to start earning his keep around here and that I'm gonna have to pull the tough love card, but he just laughs and reminds me that his lack of opposing thumbs and ability to smooth talk-meow me, make me silly putty in his paws. He so has my number. P.S. As I write this, he is snoring. Yeah, I'm a total sucker.
