They treat the pets in assembly line fashion. They treat customers like they are doing you a huge favor by treating you're pretty. They are cold and insensitive.

Love.LOVE.Love!Dr. Barron, Bianca, Marinda, and ALL the other girls who work at Banfield in Campbell are awesome. I've been taking my cats here for about a year and recently started taking my 2 new dogs to this location. There is truly no better vet office in the Bay. Prior to finding this office, I had tried a few other offices around Campbell, Saratoga and San Jose but was never quite happy with the quality. What has impressed me so much with this office is the quality of care and the level of excellence each staff member goes to in order to create a happy and safe environment for the animals. I feel like my cats and dogs always receive individualized attention and the medical care is second to none. I completely trust the medical opinions of the doctors here and know my babies are being well taken care of. I only wish I could find a human doctor for myself as good as my pet's doctor! :) Read Less

My wonderful Poco passed away on Sunday. He was 14 years old. Banfield has taken care of him all his life. They are so caring . He had the best care with them. Thank you.

I've taken my Shiba here since she was a pup (4 years and counting). The technicians and Dr Rosen are friendly. I've only taken my puppy for routine checkups and test — nothing major yet.

If I could give zero stars, I would.My vet referred me to Banfield for prescription cat food that they did not have in stock. Apparently, I arrived while the Banfield vet was at lunch. The counter help, a girl by the name of Maya, could not have been more curt, rude or unhelpful. When I placed the prescription on the counter, she literally SHOVED it back at me and said "The vet just went to lunch. You'll have to wait." When I asked to speak to her manager, she denied the whole incident, in rather vulgar terms, telling him - with me standing there - that I was "full of it." This manager, Josh Limasa, would not apologize for her language or her behavior.  Apparently,  the customer is not always right in this establishment, which is why I have not shopped there since. Noticed that one of my fur babies' rear end looked swollen and she kept licking it, called Banfield to see if I could squeeze in an exam and anal gland expression if needed. They were able to see me and my pup, and  performed a much-needed procedure (turns out her anal glands ruptured) on the same day with such short notice!Dr. Rosen was amazing, as well as the rest of the staff. I'll start off by saying that I did not actually have to take my cat here, so my review may not cover everything. Over the weekend, my cat began drooling, something I'd never seen before. I monitored him and as he was eating and drinking just fine, I didn't feel the immediate need to take him in. After he was still drooling for a while, I decided to give Banfield a call as it is nearby. I called about 15 minutes to closing and the person I spoke to was very helpful. She listened to all the symptoms of my cat and asked me questions to understand what was going on with him. In the end, she told me just to monitor him for 24 hours and see how he does. She also gave me the information for another vet that would be open later if things got worse. Luckily, he seemed to be back to his old self this morning and the issue is (hopefully) gone. I found the service excellent, especially since I'd never been to this vet before. I will definitely be taking my cats here in the future and will update my review if anything changes. Overall, from this experience, I found them to be helpful, caring, and informative. Read Less

I haven't taken my pet here yet but I came to the Petsmart it's attached to to get my cat food. Apparently it's a prescription type of food my vet recommended so I couldn't just buy it off the shelf. The ladies there this afternoon were very helpful. They created an account for me, helped me call my vet to get the prescription on file so I could get the food today. I'm sure they went above and beyond what they typically do and it was so helpful! After this experience I'll likely be bringing my cat here for future veterinary needs. Read Less

I've had nothing but great experiences at this Banfield. I took my two dogs here for the two years I lived in San Jose. The techs and receptionists are very friendly and caring. Dr. Rosen is also amazing. I can tell he genuinely cares for all of the dogs who come through, and I always felt like my dogs were in great hands with him. I recently moved to LA where I have a new Banfield. Honestly, the value of the Wellness Plan and professionalism of the staff here can't be beat. Read Less

DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!!! This is the worse place ever and the Vet's do not care about your pet they just want your money! I brought my dog in because he was having some urination issues the first thing Dr.MAYS said when she walked in was "well if i can't determine what's going on I'm going to have to send his x-rays to a radiologist" this is before she even knew what was going on with my pet and if x-rays were even necessary. Our whole conversation was about finances which is extremely unprofessional as a vet that's not even her job that's is the front desk job. From the moment i met her she gave me a very bad vibe but, i still chose to stick with her (the worse mistake I've ever made). My dog needed x-rays and i felt like she didn't even look at them she chose to send them off to a radiologist right off the bat and charged me an arm and a leg just for that. I looked at his x-rays and clearly could tell he had stones in his urethra mind you I'm not a veterinarian SHE IS!!!! We scheduled him for surgery with horrible DR.MAYS my poor baby, I brought him and literally 2 hours later she calls me to tell me that she was able to push all the stones back in to his bladder but one which could give him trouble in the future. She says she needs to refer me to a specialist and that would cost me about $4,000. I picked up my dog and asked for all the medical notes and x-rays. I took my dog to another vet(NOT BANFIELD) for a second opinion, as soon as he saw the x-rays he knew what was going on(NO HE IS NOT A RADIOLOGIST). I told him that DR.MAYS said she had pushed all the stones back into the bladder but one, he turns around and says no all the stones are still there she didn't do anything(mind you she charged me $300 for doing NOTHING). The new vet said he can try to push the stones back in but he can't guarantee it would work, a few hours later he called me to let me know the procedure was successful and my dog would possibly not need surgery we may be able to dissolve the stones with a very strict diet. DR.MAYS IS A CROOK SHE WANTED TO OPEN UP MY DOG FOR NO APPARENT REASON!! SHE SHOULD HAVE HER LICENSE REVOKED IMMEDIATELY!!!! PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR BABIES HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Read Less

Just don't. So in my book, you gotta earn a bad review. It's not that hard to be friendly, I rarely ever give any place a bad review, but these people are taking care of your pets...your babies. First of all, location and actual store are gross. Gross. It's like a dirty Costco of PetSmart. But getting down to business...i took my baby puppy here because she's a mix that gets eye infections. This giant man with grey hair was the vet and had this "immediate" test and had to put something in my dogs eyes. She hates that in the first place but we have gone to Banfield since she was not even 3 months old and we have never, ever, seen a doctor treat her like that. The staff, vet tech, etc were fine. The vet, was screaming "NO" in my dogs face as she growled at him, naturally...and as he was putting this stuff in her eyes. We have always been able to get things in her eyes no problem with some kindness and treats. So I took their survey and told the truth. This vet was absolutely terrifying to me and my dog. I almost walked out mid treatment but she really needed the medicine and our other Banfields were booked. My dog actually threw up in the lobby from stress which I've never seen. Especially after seeing a doctor...I mean puppies throw up, but it's not usually a vet that makes them sick. So that night my fiancé comes home, and she won't even greet him. She's hiding in her crate and her behavior was as if she were traumatized from the event. I got a call about my review later saying "we don't want you to feel this way" mark my words people, this is what happened, and you can whine, but I will never ever feel differently about that kind of treatment and I will never, ever bring my dog back here. I just got a 3 month old puppy who needed to see a vet for a comprehensive exam and shots last weekend. I came here based on am old friend who took her Corgi here and never had any problems, so I figured why not, despite the negative Yelp reviews. The staff was extremely friendly and my puppy, Loki, was calm with them. No barking, no accidents, just a happy little puppy! We saw Dr. Barron who was very professional, sweet, and you can see her love for animals. I was more nervous than Loki was about his shots. I signed him up for the wellness plan that costs me $60 per month that includes all visits, shots, neutering, plus discounts on basically everything. They also have a website where you can view all of your pets info like shots, appointments, etc. I also got him micro chipped and he was perfectly fine after. Dr. Barron took her time in answering all my questions. I feel completely comfortable having Banfield as Loki's vet. Read Less

I've been coming to this Banfield for many many years (5+ years). I first went to another Banfield (Coleman) and after coming here I decided to stay. We first had a lady Veterinarian but she shortly left to work at the zoo, and I was nervous about changing. Dr. Rosen became our vet and I cannot rave about how absolutely amazing he is! He is genuine, sweet natured, knowlegable, and such a pleasure to meet with every time.I've been bringing my 9-year-old welsh corgi here now. Then took my 4-year-old cat later. I first brought my cat to the Cat Hospital located down further Hamilton when he started experiencing some issues. They charged me up the WAZOO! And treated him horribly... I was charged an arm and a leg ($600) and had him returned to me smelling like feces. That's when I decided to bring him to the same vet as Rebel (My dog). They knew he was fine... Told me it was all because I changed his diet. Gave him probiotics and told me to switch him back to his regular food and he was back to normal.  It makes me really sad to see the bad reviews on here because I have never had a bad experience with Banfield. I've had the Wellness plans for the longest times. But just recently switched to pet insurance due my work's discount. Still wish I could afford both. The staff is great with me and my pets. I understand they're not specialists which it pays to have insurance. But they handle pretty much everything. And their prices and the best in town... Trust me I've called and checked. Amazing services, prices, and people who really care... And again Dr. Rosen is an amazing Dr...  He gives Rebel Eskimo kisses  :3 Read Less

Banfield Campbell is my main vet for my dog and cat. We see Dr. Rosen. He is extremely gentle and caring, as well knowledgeable. I recommend him to everyone I know that have pets! The staff is always so nice and pleasant and willing to go the extra mile. I've read the other reviews on here and I've honestly never experienced those issues and I've been with Banfield going on 4 years now. Proud to call them my vet. After many years of membership at Banfield I have finally had it this morning with there dismal services and am in process of canceling my membership. I took my small dog for a supposedly "drop off" for dental cleaning, on my way to my son's school. They mandated that drop off should be between 7:00- 7:30. When I got there there was 1 person behind the counter and 4-5 dogs waiting. couple of the dogs were new and so she started interviewing the owners about the dogs' history. When I explained my situation to the cust. service person and her response was: It is what it is. I had to leave without dropping my dog off since my son at this point was going to be late. My morning all wasted, but at least I am finally getting away from these folks. Read Less

After being a loyal customer with 3 dogs there for 7 years; I just went through an awful customer experience this morning. I have a full time job and 2 kids, so my time is inherently limited. Due to traffic I arrived at 8 for a 730 drop-off and was rudely dismissed without any attempt to work with me to take care of my dogs. Now I'm at work with all 3 dogs in the car and my day is stupidly complicated due to their lack of interest in customer service / going above and beyond to take care of dogs.I have already taken steps to transfer all three dogs to another Banfield location, and have no intention to ever return to the Hamilton branch. I highly suggest  others do the same. Read Less

The first time we brought our cat in here, it was great...expensive, but they did a great job and were very compassionate and nice...it was an Indian man that was our Vet, and a very sweet tech. This time around, we had a whole different crew. To make a long story fairly short, we ended up having to go over the itemized list of charges and remove a LOT of stuff that wasn't needed. I felt like a good portion of stuff on the list was not only to "up charge", but it was to make things more convenient for the staff and not to benefit the kitty cat.We won't be coming here anymore. Why is it so hard to find a vet that can make suggestions, provide the risks/benefits, and HELP you make the best decision for your precious pet?? Read Less

I've had nothing but great experiences at this Banfield. I took my two dogs here for the two years I lived in San Jose. The techs and receptionists are very friendly and caring. Dr. Rosen is also amazing. I can tell he genuinely cares for all of the dogs who come through, and I always felt like my dogs were in great hands with him. DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!!! This is the worse place ever and the Vet's do not care about your pet they just want your money! I brought my dog in because he was having some urination issues the first thing Dr.MAYS said when she walked in was "well if i can't determine what's going on I'm going to have to send his x-rays to a radiologist" this is before she even knew what was going on with my pet and if x-rays were even necessary. Our whole conversation was about finances which is extremely unprofessional as a vet that's not even her job that's is the front desk job. From the moment i met her she gave me a very bad vibe but, i still chose to stick with her (the worse mistake I've ever made). My dog needed x-rays and i felt like she didn't even look at them she chose to send them off to a radiologist right off the bat and charged me an arm and a leg just for that. I looked at his x-rays and clearly could tell he had stones in his urethra mind you I'm not a veterinarian SHE IS!!!! We scheduled him for surgery with horrible DR.MAYS my poor baby, I brought him and literally 2 hours later she calls me to tell me that she was able to push all the stones back in to his bladder but one which could give him trouble in the future. She says she needs to refer me to a specialist and that would cost me about $4,000. I picked up my dog and asked for all the medical notes and x-rays. I took my dog to another vet(NOT BANFIELD) for a second opinion, as soon as he saw the x-rays he knew what was going on(NO HE IS NOT A RADIOLOGIST). I told him that DR.MAYS said she had pushed all the stones back into the bladder but one, he turns around and says no all the stones are still there she didn't do anything(mind you she charged me $300 for doing NOTHING). The new vet said he can try to push the stones back in but he can't guarantee it would work, a few hours later he called me to let me know the procedure was successful and my dog would possibly not need surgery we may be able to dissolve the stones with a very strict diet. DR.MAYS IS A CROOK SHE WANTED TO OPEN UP MY DOG FOR NO APPARENT REASON!! SHE SHOULD HAVE HER LICENSE REVOKED IMMEDIATELY!!!! PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR BABIES HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Read Less

Just don't. So in my book, you gotta earn a bad review. It's not that hard to be friendly, I rarely ever give any place a bad review, but these people are taking care of your pets...your babies. First of all, location and actual store are gross. Gross. It's like a dirty Costco of PetSmart. But getting down to business...i took my baby puppy here because she's a mix that gets eye infections. This giant man with grey hair was the vet and had this "immediate" test and had to put something in my dogs eyes. She hates that in the first place but we have gone to Banfield since she was not even 3 months old and we have never, ever, seen a doctor treat her like that. The staff, vet tech, etc were fine. The vet, was screaming "NO" in my dogs face as she growled at him, naturally...and as he was putting this stuff in her eyes. We have always been able to get things in her eyes no problem with some kindness and treats. So I took their survey and told the truth. This vet was absolutely terrifying to me and my dog. I almost walked out mid treatment but she really needed the medicine and our other Banfields were booked. My dog actually threw up in the lobby from stress which I've never seen. Especially after seeing a doctor...I mean puppies throw up, but it's not usually a vet that makes them sick. So that night my fiancé comes home, and she won't even greet him. She's hiding in her crate and her behavior was as if she were traumatized from the event. I got a call about my review later saying "we don't want you to feel this way" mark my words people, this is what happened, and you can whine, but I will never ever feel differently about that kind of treatment and I will never, ever bring my dog back here. I just got a 3 month old puppy who needed to see a vet for a comprehensive exam and shots last weekend. I came here based on am old friend who took her Corgi here and never had any problems, so I figured why not, despite the negative Yelp reviews. The staff was extremely friendly and my puppy, Loki, was calm with them. No barking, no accidents, just a happy little puppy! We saw Dr. Barron who was very professional, sweet, and you can see her love for animals. I was more nervous than Loki was about his shots. I signed him up for the wellness plan that costs me $60 per month that includes all visits, shots, neutering, plus discounts on basically everything. They also have a website where you can view all of your pets info like shots, appointments, etc. I also got him micro chipped and he was perfectly fine after. Dr. Barron took her time in answering all my questions. I feel completely comfortable having Banfield as Loki's vet. Read Less

I've been coming to this Banfield for many many years (5+ years). I first went to another Banfield (Coleman) and after coming here I decided to stay. We first had a lady Veterinarian but she shortly left to work at the zoo, and I was nervous about changing. Dr. Rosen became our vet and I cannot rave about how absolutely amazing he is! He is genuine, sweet natured, knowlegable, and such a pleasure to meet with every time.I've been bringing my 9-year-old welsh corgi here now. Then took my 4-year-old cat later. I first brought my cat to the Cat Hospital located down further Hamilton when he started experiencing some issues. They charged me up the WAZOO! And treated him horribly... I was charged an arm and a leg ($600) and had him returned to me smelling like feces. That's when I decided to bring him to the same vet as Rebel (My dog). They knew he was fine... Told me it was all because I changed his diet. Gave him probiotics and told me to switch him back to his regular food and he was back to normal.  It makes me really sad to see the bad reviews on here because I have never had a bad experience with Banfield. I've had the Wellness plans for the longest times. But just recently switched to pet insurance due my work's discount. Still wish I could afford both. The staff is great with me and my pets. I understand they're not specialists which it pays to have insurance. But they handle pretty much everything. And their prices and the best in town... Trust me I've called and checked. Banfield Campbell is my main vet for my dog and cat. We see Dr. Rosen. He is extremely gentle and caring, as well knowledgeable. I recommend him to everyone I know that have pets! The staff is always so nice and pleasant and willing to go the extra mile. I've read the other reviews on here and I've honestly never experienced those issues and I've been with Banfield going on 4 years now. Proud to call them my vet. After many years of membership at Banfield I have finally had it this morning with there dismal services and am in process of canceling my membership. I took my small dog for a supposedly "drop off" for dental cleaning, on my way to my son's school. They mandated that drop off should be between 7:00- 7:30. When I got there there was 1 person behind the counter and 4-5 dogs waiting. couple of the dogs were new and so she started interviewing the owners about the dogs' history. When I explained my situation to the cust. service person and her response was: It is what it is. I had to leave without dropping my dog off since my son at this point was going to be late. My morning all wasted, but at least I am finally getting away from these folks. Read Less

After being a loyal customer with 3 dogs there for 7 years; I just went through an awful customer experience this morning. I have a full time job and 2 kids, so my time is inherently limited. Due to traffic I arrived at 8 for a 730 drop-off and was rudely dismissed without any attempt to work with me to take care of my dogs. Now I'm at work with all 3 dogs in the car and my day is stupidly complicated due to their lack of interest in customer service / going above and beyond to take care of dogs.I have already taken steps to transfer all three dogs to another Banfield location, and have no intention to ever return to the Hamilton branch. I highly suggest  others do the same. Read Less

The first time we brought our cat in here, it was great...expensive, but they did a great job and were very compassionate and nice...it was an Indian man that was our Vet, and a very sweet tech. This time around, we had a whole different crew. To make a long story fairly short, we ended up having to go over the itemized list of charges and remove a LOT of stuff that wasn't needed. I felt like a good portion of stuff on the list was not only to "up charge", but it was to make things more convenient for the staff and not to benefit the kitty cat.We won't be coming here anymore. Why is it so hard to find a vet that can make suggestions, provide the risks/benefits, and HELP you make the best decision for your precious pet?? Read Less
