By far the best experience I’ve had with a veterinarian. Dr. Djeordjevich was kind and patient and showed genuine concern for my dog. The nurses were warm and kind as well. While we were waiting to be seen, I was offered coffe or water. A nurse brought my dog a blanket to make her more comfortable. Customer service is good with the exception of one girl that I encountered today. BUT they told me I would save money with the “pet care rewards program” by paying $150 up front and vaccines will be covered for a year, well only a select few vaccines are actually covered with this rewards program but they fail to mention that to you. I had been taking my pets there for a year and a half. On august 8 I got a new puppy. I signed up for their puppy rewards service for 150.00. Included in this services was vaccinations for my two other dogs. It sounded like a good deal. I had a test that they recommended for my puppy that day plus they offered a prescription for one of dogs that gets car sick. They gave me 4 pills for 56.00 dollars. That day I spent 300.00 dollars and I had only planned on spending the 150.00 as advertised. The next day I brought my two adult dogs in to get their booster shots because they were supposed to be covered. I had to spend 62.00 for each dog to have an exam. Another 124.00. I declined out of principle. I felt they were unclear in their program. I asked to speak to the office manager and she was very rude. She asked me if thought their advertisement should state there was an exam fee to get booster shots. My response was yes there should be so the consumer doesn't get the bait and switch feeling that I received. Their solution was that we sever our business relationship. My point is that I was drastically overcharged for the services I received. I was refunded 67.00 and took my pet records and off I went. I gave them 2 stars because their medical staff is decent. My experience was the management could care less. We would have still been going there if she were more professional. I would not recommend them. Read Less

This was our first time, because our first dog Lucy had bloody diarrhea. Thankfully she is fine! Anyways, we had our nurse Crystal Monroe. She was beyond AMAZING! We had recently moved to San Diego when our 6 yr old lab, Daisy, tore her ACL and needed surgery. After consulting with a vet close to us in Chula Vista they wanted is to wait a week to even hear from an Orthopedic surgeon. Well Daisy is our baby and we did not want to make her suffer any longer than necessary. A friend of ours said she had heard that Mohnacky Animal Hospital did a lot of work with local military families so we decided to give them a call. They were able to schedule us to see the Dr. that Saturday. (I think I called on a Thursday). Once we got there they took her back for X-rays and Dr. George came and spoke with us right away. They recommended doing surgery immediately. So they offered to keep her over the weekend and perform surgery first thing Monday. They were able to give her pain meds and keep her comfortable over the weekend. They sent us pictures of her and gave us daily updates. After her surgery they called to let us know she was resting comfortably and that the procedure had gone well. Crystal, Dr. George's nurse, kept in constant contact with us until we picked her up on Wednesday. We went back for all of her follow up visits and on the final visit they were having some technical issues with their X-ray machine so they offered to transport Daisy to their other office for us that day so that we did not have to make another trip up to the office (we live an hour away). The entire staff has been amazing and kind and gone above and beyond our expectations. They even gave us a generous military discount on her procedure. This place is wonderful. The facility itself is beautiful and CLEAN! My malinois can get leash reactive, so it was nice that they have an intake room to wait in instead of just the lobby.The lead receptionist (didn't catch her name) was so friendly and quick. Sara, the nurse, was sweet and very thorough. Max's neutering was done quickly and the staff was very prompt in giving me updates and calls as needed.We were given a free neuter through the Helping Paws program. Growing up military and having family/my partner both currently serving, it is a wonderful program to our service members.  I was estatic when they offered dissolvable stitches which alleviates the need for a follow up appointment.  They also offered laser for the procedure which aids in faster healing. I was happy to pay out of pocket for these additions. The prices for those were very affordable. Would recommend to anyone looking for a vet and will be back for future appointments. LOVE Mohnacky! We've been taking Cooper since he was just a puppy and we've never had any issue whatsoever. They take note of every concern you have, no matter how small it may be. Every visit is thorough and every question you have is answered. The doctors and their staff are super friendly and attentive. They make it very clear what each product/medication is for, what it treats, how important it is, etc.. without pushing you or making you feel like you have to buy anything, which I appreciate. Other places just make you feel like it's all about the money and not about your pet.They have a pet rewards plan that includes free checkups all year and cash credits for every purchase made that you can redeem for payments on other products/medications. On top of ALL of that they offer one free neuter/spay per military household through their Helping Paws Program.  We just had Cooper neutered last week through that program and every penny was covered. A few days later we noticed he was swollen and bleeding so we took him back in and found that he had a reaction to the original sutures they used. Immediately they scheduled to put him under again and restitch the incision with a different type of suture this time, on the same day! Great experience! I took my cat Hurley in for his yearly check up, was able to get in the same day I called. The front desk staff checked me in and got me in a room right away (very efficient) :). I saw Dr B. She was very good with Hurley and he was very comfortable with both her and Nurse Crystal. Had the worst experience here today! I will never take my pets here again. Took my cats in for their rabies shot, a bath (I asked for a flea bath because the cats had some fleas), and nail trim. First of all my cats were there for 7 hours and when I picked them up they were still both wet. One of my cats peed in their cage immediately when we got to the car. So my car got covered in urine. When I got home my cat was still covered in fleas and foaming at the mouth. Now I have to get a new bath for my cat and my car detailed. Oh did I mention the cost for the services above was $305. They refunded the $101 cat bath (which is wayyyy over priced anyway). Sadly, this isn't the first time we have had a bad experience here. Our cats are traumatized. Thanks to the staff of nurses , the vet and the helping paws coordinator, we were able to have our German shepherd puppy treated for parvo. They worked with us , through our financial situation, and made it possible to give him a fighting chance instead of just putting him to sleep and giving up hope. So thankful for the Mohnacky Animal Hospital, we were able to get our kitten spayed through their helping paws military appreciation program for FREE! we saved between 150-200 that our regular vet wanted. The staff is very kind and informative, they never pressured me to buy extra things that I didn't have the money for. I'm beyond bless to be able to find Mohnacky Animal Hospital of Carlsbad to help us with our baby Boi. The Nurses and Dr. George are truly angels. My dog Boi was having complications of two previews surgeries that were done in another pet clinic.The previews vet clinic had implanted two large plates on two of his legs that made it impossible for him to move around to do normal things like walking and doing his necessaries.The plates were becoming severely infected to the point that one of the screws was coming literally out of this skin. Since my financial status wasn't so good, I could find a Dr. to be able to help us and our dog, I was becoming hopeless and concern of our baby Boi health. I knew if we waited much longer to help him it was going to become crucial for his health.I request an appointment at Mohnacky Animal Hospital of Carlsbad online. Nurse Linda called me to confirm the appointment and since the day I first spoke to her all of my fear and doubts were gone. She made me feel understood. I explain my situation to her and all she care about was Boi's well being she said to me  "the financial part we deal with it later your baby is the most important" and that made me feel happy, because since a year ago Boi wasn't getting the right care and she made me feel they were going to do everything they could to provide that care for him. Since I live in Los Angeles I was determined to travel to San Diego to cure my dog.Once I arrived at Mohnacky Animal Hospital I notice a different environment to the one we were used. The hospital was nice and clean the staff were beyond friendly and professional. I didn't have to wait long for Dr. George to check Boi, which made me really glad. They knew I was coming from LA so they didn't waste time which was a plus to me. Dr. George took Boi's plate out that were badly infected and unfortunately he had to amputate one of his legs to save his life. Everything they were doing was run by me which made me feel involved in the process of recovering my dog health. I want to thank Linda, Sara, Crystal for doing above and beyond for us to the point they would update us on the process of the surgeries. They would send us pictures of Boi. I know my dog was in great hands and I have no doubt he was well-taking care of while he was in the Hospital.If I could, I would give Mohnacky Animal Hospital of Carlsbad more than 5 starts!!!If you really care about your pet please take him to the right persons which in my case it was Mohnacky Hospital. Very disappointed! Strictly a business all about the money not about your pet! Dog was in very bad pain so we took her here. Exam was performed vet held 3 month old puppy down pushed on her stomach while she held left shoulder, dog let out cry. Vet tells us she has a hip or stomach problem and she needed x-rays. They wanted to Sedate the dog that was already lethargic because she was in so much pain. We refused sedation medicine for there was no reason for it saving $90. They take x-rays $190 of her stomach only telling us she had a serious blockage in her stomach. We thought that was strange cause she was pooping and peeing fine with no issue. Her discomfort was only when she would run. They prescribed antibiotics and a stomach coating  medication which was basically Pepto-Bismol smelled and looked at the exact same ...in addition to opiate painkillers. After two full days of worrying about a stomach blockage issue we decide to consult another vet only to find out she has A small fracture in her left front shoulder. You would think after getting x-rays they would've seen this but they didn't even x-ray the front half of her body. Very un-thorough. $350 for x-rays and prescriptions for nothing now complete separate vet bill from another vet to fix the problem. What a waste of time I would find another vet if I were you I would not recommend whatsoever. Read Less

Amazing service! Mary helped during the exam and was really sweet! If you are active military affiliated you qualify for 1 free neuter or spay on your pet! It's called "the helping paws" One concern I have is When I arrived I didn't see a railing for handicapped or strollers which made it hard to enter since I had to lift my stroller and dog in my arms but a employee came and held my dog and another employee helped lift my stroller up the stairs, the railing was on the side of the building which I didn't see, I just wish it was more noticeable! Today our Saint Bernard puppy was neutered at Mohnacky Carlsbad through the helping paws military program. Thanks to helping paws we were able to get our fur baby neutered for zero cost to us due to the fact that my husband is active duty military. But they didn't stop there... their staff was friendly and went above and beyond to get us in in a timely manner and to make sure that we felt comfortable leaving Samson with them. One of the gals even texted me updates of Samson throughout the day. While he was under surgery they trimmed his nails. Last, they wanted us to keep them updated on his comfort levels in order to make sure that he wasn't in too much pain. I can't even explain how THANKFUL we are for Mohnacky and the helping paws program. It is amazing to see a company go above and beyond with no reward for themselves. I have taken my boxer there many times. The staff in incredible. The second time he had to have surgery due to a bite. They were absolutely incredible with my baby and with me as well. I was a mess with the emergency situation. They comforted me the entire time. I constantly got updates as to how he wad doing. The reciptionists there were so kind to our dog and us. They truly understand that our animals are our babies! I got pretty emotional because our dog had to wear his cone longer and be on antibiotics because we took it off too soon and his stitches got infected. I didn't catch her name, but the woman helping us there was just so sweet considering the circumstances. I started crying and she gave me a hug. Terrible. I just moved to the area and had to take my new puppy there for warranty purposes. I noticed right away that the room was not clean, my puppy found a price of garbage to eat on the floor! When the vet came in (it was not the main vet) she was more concerned about how cute my puppy was, along with all the vet techs. I came there for just a physical and I told her that and she still listed off a huge list of stuff to be done for my dog, it had 20 or more things on that list! When I took my German Shepherd to the vet when he was a puppy (back home where I am from) they actually cared about my dog and cared about my check book, they did the cheapest thing possible for me, and did not try to take my money. Along with that she didn't even fully examine my puppy, When she felt his pulse she felt it for less than 3 seconds and didn't even count, what if he has a murmer? She also didn't heck his breathing, he's been coughing a little but nothing major, she still should have checked. Once I said I didn't want to spend money that day because I was not prepared to because it was a free initial visit for an exam. When I told the vet i was not interested in a million vaccines just this second, she made a rude comment about how she did not know the purpose of my visit, when I had just told her! They gave me the invoice with the list of all kinds of stuff I had to get done there weren't any prices on there, the vet techs said it would be on there but it definitely was not. Do not go there of you care about your animals health. I really wish I wasn't so nice to people all the time, they did not deserve it.Read Less

My dog had an ear infection. And i knew he had an ear infection because it was obvious. I took him there and the doctor didn't even touch my dog. He said that he would be right back with how much it would cost. He didnt come back but instead his assistant came back and said it would be $500. I said "no" that i would take him to banfield instead. And they wanted to charge me $58, even though the vet didn't even touch my dog. I said i was referred there and they took $25 off. But I still had to pay the $33 for nothing. I would give this place no stars. Read Less

Our 17 Week old Akita Puppy had something wrong with her right leg, it was bowed and 2-3 inches shorter then the other leg. I was referred to Dr George by Dr Dixon @ Mohnacky Escondido and could not have had two better doctors. Dr. George and his staff at Carlsbad were very patient with me and my husband and answered all of our questions no matter how many times it was repeated. Everyone could see how emotionally upset i was and was treated with such kindness, and their smiles made me feel so much better, Knowing Nikki was in excellent care made her surgery more relaxing for me. Jamie is an excellent nurse,..Very patient and kindhearted. My experience has been great. Dr. George explained the pre-surgery, surgery, and post-surgery in great detail. Come here for great customer service and care I have recently moved to California and I brought my 2 dogs here for a rabies vaccination. The receptionist was extremely friendly and checked me in promptly. After they gathered my information the doctor came in and introduced herself to me. She was very friendly and got down on the floor with my dogs jumping all over her! She performed a very thorough physical exam on my two pets who were only there for a rabies shot. She took the time to get to know me since I was new to the area and advised some recommendations on grooming for my pets. I would have liked her to give my dogs the vaccinations as they were then brought to the back for a tech to do however I was quickly helped at the front desk and my dogs came back out to me very happy.
