This is a very small clinic, but that also means more personalized service.  Dr Conner seems to genuinely care for his patients, and works to keep the procedures to a needed minimum. If you're looking for a vet that has your fur baby's best interest at heart without over charging or trying to increase your bill with unnecessary diagnostic tests, this is the place to go. Don't go there to save your animal from death, the Dr won't be in if you did not have ESP and know your animal would be sick to make an appointment.  They will not call him in either, I waited outside for 20 minutes as they were late, ran in with my Cat to hear, if you did not make an appointment the Dr will not see your animal.  We will not bother the Dr for unappointed visits.  Never, ever will I go there... I took my dog here for a nose issue. The Doctor spent a couple minutes in the "room" with us, prescribed some meds, and that was it. It did help my dogs nose, but the diagnosis he provided us was not correct. Now my dog is at a different Veterinarian being treated for the actual issue.The office is not nice, I felt as if I was at a Vet in the ghetto, which isn't far off from the shopping center it is in. I stated "room" before because we weren't actually in a room, there were no doors, just an open area with a little chair and exam table.The receptionist was very rude. I stood at the counter for 5 minutes, being ignored, while she was on the phone, then she attempted to help the lady behind me first, who was kind enough to point out I was first.The doctor rushed, acted as if it was a hassle to have to see us. He did a once-over on my dog, gave an incorrect diagnosis, and prescribed  $100+ in meds. Which helped the secondary problem, not the actual issue.Would not recommend this office. Read Less

Dr. Conners has been our vet for 10 years . He Has has treated several of our cats and bulldogs . We have found him to be excellent, and very fair in pricing . He is a very compassionate Dr. We would highly recommend him to anyone . Love the Togersons. Read Less

I felt that I have to put this review, because I have more trouble with the front desk lady Pam than anything else. I love Dr. Conner, but I felt bad that Pam is the one actually cause our dissatisfaction. When Pam answers the phone that she always put you on hold.  On average, she will put you on hold for at least 5~10 minutes (sometimes 20 minutes), because she is either busy with office work or asking the customer's questions regarding what the symptoms are in a very detail manner and giving advices on the phone. I do not doubt that she is very knowledgeable, but there is reason that we want to see the doctor who has the training to treat our animals. There was one day I sat in the front office and I saw that she puts everyone on hold for a long time while she was giving detail advice to another customer on the phone and then run the fax machine and other things. If there is another front desk girl Elizabeth on the phone, lucky you, there is no waiting time, and she will set up your appointment in just a couple of minutes with a very pleasant manner. There was one time when we asked her to fax  records to another vet or our insurance company, she said that she will charge us for it. Pam typically has this unpleasant attitude towards to customers, which is such an opposite attitude of Elizabeth. Please do not get me wrong, Dr. Conner is a great vet who cares and loves animals. He is an honest vet with many years of experiences. I trust him and I know that he is not over priced with anything including all the medications. He is a compassionate vet. He does $10 vaccinations on every Thursday afternoon for all pets for many years. Bless his heart, I like him a lot, but I just feel bad that Pam is the one ruin his business, and I feel headache whenever Pam answers the phone and her first sentence always is: "Can you please hold?" I bring two of my three dogs here and really like it. My mini eskie is not a fan of getting shots, but Dr Connor gets it over with fast, I don't even think she feels it. Although she did snap at him once, he was very understanding, just now remembers sometimes she'll need a muzzle. He's always very nice and so is the rest of the staff. Except the receptionist (?) she almost always seems mad and when I called for a copy of proof of the rabies shot, she was pretty rude about it even though I had no problem paying the $5 for the copy. I have been taking my cats to Dr. Connor for 18 years and he's always been wonderful.  He has a very calm demeanor and is great with animals.  They have been in the same location and it's always been the same receptionist.  It's a simple place, but they do a great job.  Much easier to take your pets here than to drive into Valencia if you live in Castaic. Love love love Dr. Connor!  I'm still going to Castaic Animal Hopsital even after I moved out of Castaic (and even though there is a vet just down the street from me).  Dr. Connor is always so compassionate.  What I especially like is that he always tells you all your options, but he suggests the conservative approach.  He doesn't try to run your bill up with a bunch of test like other vets seem to do.  You can tell he really cares about his patients and I just love him for it! I am VERY discusted with this place. My parents dog was basically dieing and they gave my mom an appointment for 5 hours later. We had to take our dog all the way to Canyon Country to get help for her and then had to put her down. My mother was so upset and didn't know what to do. The lady that answers the phone there is VERY unsympathetic and when I called today did not say sorry even one time. Not impressed what so ever! The Adobe Animal hospital in Canyon Country told us to come right away with out questions, they have a heart there and care. Read Less
