I took my pet Rabbit Marley to be seen he was very Ill. He passed away the next day and the understanding and service me and my wife got was remarkable! They were all so understandable and caring. Were going to cremate him and bring him home. Everything was affordable and they gave us some hair and a nail. Even took time to talk to us about what happened. Highly recommended. We brought in our chicken, Alice, who was severely bitten by our neighbor's pit bull. The injury was right down to the spinal cord. We found Boulevard after searching for a clinic that would care of "exotic birds". Not many people would find a chicken exotic, but the wonderful doctor and staff took care of Alice with the same enthusiasm and attention to detail they might have extended to a California condor or a whooping crane! And Alice, whose leg seemed paralyzed at first, is now happily hopping along at great speed through our yard, keeping up with our other 3 chickens and improving every day! I only wish I could get medical care that would rival the quality my pet has received at Boulevard. We even visited her twice during her extended recovery period, when they did not think it appropriate to release her yet, bringing her treats (raisins, strawberries); the staff placed her in a little room for us, and the doc came in to check her as well and update us on her condition. Although I wish no harm to my cat Gordon, if he were to need some care, I am sure Boulevard will treat him like the Lion King! Read Less

My indoor/backyard only cat has lost weight recently due to some meds he is taking.  He/We discovered that he can now jump the fence which he did the other evening.  When he returned, he had been "skunked".  I put out a post on Nextdoor to get recommendations for a vet that provides "de-skunking" services (mine doesn't) and was referred to these folks.  Got an appt. just a couple of hours of phone call, took him in and dealt with some very nice people.  They bathed my cat 2 times (he smells really good) and even cleaned the carrier and the bedding inside!  Thanks!! Great Dr Schuchman same doctor who got to see my parakeets yrs ago and this time another parakeet diagnosed with seizure from mental problem almost dying but was able to go back to normal. Dr Shuchman passionately explained diagnosis and one thing's great I didn't feel d charges it is just right amount . I felt his love for d animals and let my bird stayed 4. Days of no charge and d word " let d bird take a rest bec of antibiotic " it calms my heart. Very fair and honest service. Every time i called for a med refill, they would only charge me every other time?? I had to ask them how they even made money? Exams and lab work is kept tp a minimum. Dr S and his staff are amazing! I can't praise them enough for helping us with both of our dogs, but mostly with our older dog Chuey. He had a lot of heath issues and they always welcomed us with open arms, appointment or not. They helped to make Chuey's life better and ease him into old age. We love BPH! Read Less

I can't give enough praise to this vet and clinic. Dr. Schuchman saved my beloved cockatiel who was dying in my hands before my wife told me to give this clinic a call. I was told to come right away. When I arrived, my cockatiel was on his side just barely alive. Within minutes the doctor had him under oxygen in a ventilator. And he was already sitting up. The doctor was honest with me on his chances but thanks to this doctors skill, caring environment and love of god, he survived and so far back to normal.I could go on but won't here. Very unprofessional. I took my pet chameleon there for MBD on a Thursday. She was going to stay a week with them for calcium injections. You have to make an appointment to visit your pet so I did on Saturday. She was completely dehydrated and U asked for a plastic syringe so I could give her water... They were like "ooh that's good she'll take water from you" (seriously). They then were closed the next two days but told me that someone would be there everyday taking care of the animals. I made an appointment for a visit on Tuesday. This is when I find out my pet had already passed away on Sunday . NO PHONE CALL! NOTHING! She was in there care for four days. Really people... No decency to let me know when it happened. Dont take your pet here unless you want to be heartbroken. Read Less

WORST EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE. I had my ball python in their care for over two weeks. Come to find out, my ball python was released to my crazy ex boyfriend. No where on the documents was he listed as a reference/emergency contact NOR did they call me first to take sure this was a family friend or relative. They didn't check ID or anything. When I spoke with Dr. Schuchman, he got angry and starting screaming at me. The police on site ( I called the police to document stolen property) had to tell him to quiet/calm down! After everything that's happened, they did not offer me anything to help. I'm very disappointed in the way they release animals. Our pets are like our children! We don't release our children from school to a stranger just because they claim they are the father/brother/cousin right??? The staff though, was very friendly. The ladies at the front desk were lovely and one doctor whose name I can't recall but he had tattoos and owned about 30+ snakes. You were awesome. They are the best. I took my cat in for a urine infection.They treated him and told me exactly what was going to happen for the next 2 weeks. They were right on target. Plus they will work with you with the costs. Also, they don't try to scare you into more treatments and tests like other vets do. They are open early in the AM and later in the PM so I was able to get everything done before and after work. I am so happy with them and highly recommend them. Read Less

This is the worst possible vet you can go to. Really bad service, low quality, and unproffesional. We payed A LOT of money for my dog and he is still the same when we brought him there to fix one of his legs. Never coming back again. Read Less

I was so happy with the care that my new cat recieved here! I have never owned a pet before and within an hour after I adopted a 1 year old cat, I brought her here. The Dr. took his time, was gentle with her, even whispering softly to her to calm her down, and also taught me how to care for her. I felt the charges were more than reasonable and I had actually expected to pay more. The Dr. was very sweet and you can see how much he loves animals. I am writing this review now, even though my beautiful Shiba Inu is still an inpatient at this vet. I am very impressed by the professionalism that all of the staff exhibits at Boulevard Pet Hospital. Dr. Schuchman honestly cared for our Boston Terrier as much as we do. Even making multiple trips back to the office for her as she was struggling with a very long and complicated labor. Financially he was willing to work with us. He is knowledgeable and gave us many options. It was a very scary time as our Boston Terrier had 2 of her 5 babies get stuck and pass away. Dr Schuchman and the wonderful staff at BOULEVARD PET HOSPITAL pretty much held our hand through the whole 30 hour labor. Don't know what we would have done without them. Read Less

I have been going to Boulevard Pet Hospital for almost 10 years. I have had three dogs cared for and/or boarded here. Dr. Schuchman is great. The staff is always cooperative. I took a couple of birds and an iguana to Dr Schuchman about 10 years ago, but when I later moved to San Francisco and acquired another large bird, I took her into Bay Area Bird Hospital. I soon regretted this when my bird started developing a medical issue and visit after vist to Bay Area Bird Hospital turned into hundreds of dollars, loads of tests, shots, and other medication, and a bird who started to go down hill fast from the onslaught of procedures and medication. Probably just in time, I got her back to Dr. Schuchman who took her in, got her back on her feet, and gave me back a bird that is getting stronger by the day. My stress has significantly decreased. I can't recommend this doctor enough for his commonsense treatment plans, low fees, and his compassion. Read Less
