I was very happy with my experience at this location.  I came home to the base of my pit bull's tail was surrounded with puss and swollen.  Luckily this location was open on the weekends and was able to make a Sunday afternoon appointment for me. While there, they were very attentive to me and my dog.  They were very thorough and addressed all of my concerns.  They put together a treatment plan that was very reasonable and easy to understand and seemed reasonably priced (for visit, exam and medication).  It's  been a couple of days and he's already looking so much better.  I would happily bring my baby back here again. I noticed that Shayna, the cat hadn't been eating well for a couple of days, so I started supplementing tuna juice on her food and she ate a little more.Yesterday, I went into check in on her in her room and she hopped out of the room and took a little tour. I sat on the floor and played with her and she so sweetly sat on my lap, which was quite out of character for her. We sat and cuddled and she continued exploring the house.I noticed she was occasionally out of breathe and would stop and rest. Something told me that she needed me, so we cuddled on the bed and took a nap. She kept waking up and looking at me. These moments were so nice.She jumped off the bed, looking around and went to hide under the bed.I was on the phone with my dear friend, Alyssa Boyle during this time. I felt something. Alyssa told me she would stay on hold. I looked under the bed and it appeared that she may have passed on.I took her to the Banfield Pet Hospital in Chatsworth, just to be sure she wasn't in a coma. I was warmly greeted by Paula. What a gem of a human being!! She so calmly called someone in the back, who took Shayna in right away. She offered me coffee, tea or water. I got a little impatient, since I didn't want to have her go through extreme life saving measures. She reassured me that someone would come out. She took me in a nice room and so kindly told me that someone would be right with me. She smiled and gave me a hug. This was what I needed.Violet came in to confirm that Shayna has passed. They did try to see if they could revive her. With great sensitivity, she walked me thru the different options for disposal.Both Paula and Violet told me multiple times how sorry they were.While waiting for the paperwork. the Vet happened to come out and offered his condolences.I left feeling inspired for humanity and animal kind. Wow!  This place has gone downhill fast!   I have been going to Banfield for over 9 years for my dog.  Dr. Nina Nardi and Dr. Del Pino are truly the best vets ever.  Dr. Nardi moved on which was sad, and Dr. Del Pino moved to the Nordhoff location.  We started going to the Chatsworth location for convenience.  At first, it was fine and everything was nice.  Then we scheduled an appointment four weeks prior and my wife brings our dog in 20 minutes late (first time in 9 years we have been late for an appointment).  The woman tells my wife that "it is over the five minute threshold and that she will need to reschedule."  Keep in mind, it is pouring rain and my wife has a three year old child and a dog while I am at another appointment.  I called and spoke to a Wendy who basically was like "tough."  She offered drop off and I felt it was unacceptable considering we have never been late before for an appointment can't they cut us a little slack?I am DONE with the Chatsworth location and had it not been for Hazel at the Northridge location, I would have cancelled my Banfield plan and found the vet hospital that Dr. Nardi is at.My advice, change management of this location or close it down! Sadly our beloved 19 year old cat, Padme was at the end of her life, I was torn about it but knew it was time, my goal was to be sure she was comfortable. The minute my son & I walked in, the staff acknowledged our sadness, they did everything to make Padme comfortable & to be sure we both were comfortable as well. They allowed us as much time as we needed. It was such a sad situation but the concern & support they gave us made us feel like we were not alone.Thank you so much for the care & kindness, and for the card from the Dr & staff! We took our pup 1st thing this AM to see Dr. Zackarias Gardenfors as he was lethargic, not eating or able to walk. Dr. Gardenfors diagnosed our 1 yr old Maltese with having liver issues, possibly a liver shunt and said his assistant would call us when the ultra sound doctor was available to do a liver ultra sound. (No ultrasound doctor available at this location) He also advised us that the ultra sound was not of urgency and he needed to send out his blood sample that could take up to a few days for results. He prescribed a "Stool Softener" and dismissed him after approx.  6 hours. We were so relieved!  We requested a full report prior to leaving.On our drive home our pup did not move and could not even stand up or barely open his eyes. We immediately drove him to the nearest Pet Emergency Hospital in Granada Hills a few exits away. They took him in immediately and the doctor reviewed the report from Banfield. Based on tests results and Xray any Liver issues WAS RULED OUT! Our puppies blood HCT level result was 21 (low) at 9AM it had dropped to 14 by 5PM other tests revealed that our pup had IMHA within the hour and needed an immediate blood transfer and a steroid injection or he would of passed if we would have just brought him home. Our pup was misdiagnosed and sent home with a stool softener!! Beware of this neglectful pet hospital! Banfield Pet Hospital Chain specialize in hiring the inexperienced and are experts in charging for unnecessary treatments and medication. KEEP YOUR PUP ALIVE AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! Read Less

There is not a lot of vet choices in the immediate Chatsworth area.  My previous vet wasn't for me.  I went into this location to check it out and ask questions prior to making an appointment.All my questions were answered and I felt good about taking my dog here.  I agree, Dr. Linderman is a great doctor.  My dog immediately felt relaxed and comfortable withDr. Linderman and Alex.  They were both gentle, kind and great in explaining the examinationand answering questions.  It was important to me and for my dog that the visit be pleasant.  This made the experience stress free and easy going for both of us.  I wish to thank Dr. Linderman and Alex for the care and kindness shown to me and my dog.  I am happy to say that I will be returning in the future.   I also found the prices to be very reasonable.Again, thank you. If I could give no stars I would. Showed up 5 minutes before my appointment and was told to sit and wait until it got closer to my appointment time. It's not like she had a line full of customers, she just went and sat down behind the counter. Are you kidding me!?! This was on June 4, 2016 my appointment was at 5:30 PM, I arrived at 5:25 after I was told to wait I even sat down and waited a few minutes before getting-up and walking out. LAZY ass heavy-set Hispanic woman working the front counter. Beware of this place you have been warned! I personally am going to quit going to the Bandfield vet chains altogether.Read Less

This is such a nice clinic! I haven't been to a Banfield yet that isn't part of Petsmart and I really like the stand alone clinic. It is just less chaotic and seems more legit haha. My dog had a paw injury and we needed to get him in right away on a Sunday if we wanted to avoid having to take him to the ER. I am so thankful that we are optimum wellness plan members at a place that is open 7 days a week and was willing to take him as a walk in. We had to drop him off and then pick him up once the doctor was done examining and assessing him. They were able to treat him and get him out of there within two hours and they were caring and helpful the entire time. My only complaint is that I wish I was able to talk to the Veterinarian. All communication was through the vet tech (who was great), but I would have appreciated the offer to speak to the doctor if we had any questions.Parking is super easy because it is in a strip mall parking lot. The clinic has a few dental chews and things like that to buy. It also has a cutely decorated waiting room with a coffee machine and water. Really loved this clinic! Read Less

I had my first visit today(Friday). My dog wasn't feeling so well the past three days and I was so sad that I couldn't figure out what it was. However, I called in to ask if they had any appts for today and they scheduled me in for today!! Dr. Linderman and the staff was very accommodating! The offices were nice and everyone there was friendly especially the front desk. I signed up for the wellness plan the most expensive one I believe because it covered all blood work,X-rays, and testing that needed to be done. Medicine I got 20percent off through the plan. It's a little pricey.... But gotta do it for my baby.. All in all everything came out normal. But, Dr. Linderman advised he might have been hurting due to his back hurting... He was prescribe some muscle relaxers and anti flam  and my sweet little Toby seems to be doing better. Hoping he will fully recover or stop hurting. Still a little lost in why he was acting the way he was cuz tests have seemed to come out normal. Like the doc said it can be due to his back. My follow up is next appt. hopefully all goes well and he gets better! But I'll be coming back for his teeth cleaning. Thank you banfield chatsworth! Read Less

This place is wonderful! So lucky that they are so conveniently located a block from my home. This facility is bright, cheery and clean. With a Pet clean up station. Treats for doggies and kitties. Coffee and Tea service. A creative play area for children. Ample seating. All the while making you feel welcome and comfortable. Every single member of staff I encountered was absolutely wonderful.  From the front desk to the Doctor. We'll educated, well spoken, kind and compassionate beyond words.So blessed to have such a great pet clinic that treated my cock-a-poo with as much love as her own family.Highly recommended! They were kind understanding gentle caring with me and my cat. During the process I wanted to be there and it was very kind and peaceful , The Doctor gave me a hug afterwards. The offices are very nice, clean, hi tech. Thank you Banfield Chatsworth. Thank you so much and welcome to Chatsworth. I was very happy with my experience at this location.  I came home to the base of my pit bull's tail was surrounded with puss and swollen.  Luckily this location was open on the weekends and was able to make a Sunday afternoon appointment for me. I noticed that Shayna, the cat hadn't been eating well for a couple of days, so I started supplementing tuna juice on her food and she ate a little more.Yesterday, I went into check in on her in her room and she hopped out of the room and took a little tour. Sadly our beloved 19 year old cat, Padme was at the end of her life, I was torn about it but knew it was time, my goal was to be sure she was comfortable. The minute my son & I walked in, the staff acknowledged our sadness, they did everything to make Padme comfortable & to be sure we both were comfortable as well. They allowed us as much time as we needed. It's not like she had a line full of customers, she just went and sat down behind the counter. Are you kidding me!?! This was on June 4, 2016 my appointment was at 5:30 PM, I arrived at 5:25 after I was told to wait I even sat down and waited a few minutes before getting-up and walking out. This is such a nice clinic! I haven't been to a Banfield yet that isn't part of Petsmart and I really like the stand alone clinic. It is just less chaotic and seems more legit haha. My dog had a paw injury and we needed to get him in right away on a Sunday if we wanted to avoid having to take him to the ER. I am so thankful that we are optimum wellness plan members at a place that is open 7 days a week and was willing to take him as a walk in. We had to drop him off and then pick him up once the doctor was done examining and assessing him. They were able to treat him and get him out of there within two hours and they were caring and helpful the entire time. My only complaint is that I wish I was able to talk to the Veterinarian. All communication was through the vet tech (who was great), but I would have appreciated the offer to speak to the doctor if we had any questions.Parking is super easy because it is in a strip mall parking lot. The clinic has a few dental chews and things like that to buy. It also has a cutely decorated waiting room with a coffee machine and water. Really loved this clinic! Read Less

I had my first visit today(Friday). My dog wasn't feeling so well the past three days and I was so sad that I couldn't figure out what it was. However, I called in to ask if they had any appts for today and they scheduled me in for today!! Dr. Linderman and the staff was very accommodating! The offices were nice and everyone there was friendly especially the front desk. I signed up for the wellness plan the most expensive one I believe because it covered all blood work,X-rays, and testing that needed to be done. Medicine I got 20percent off through the plan. It's a little pricey.... But gotta do it for my baby.. All in all everything came out normal. But, Dr. Linderman advised he might have been hurting due to his back hurting... He was prescribe some muscle relaxers and anti flam  and my sweet little Toby seems to be doing better. Hoping he will fully recover or stop hurting. Still a little lost in why he was acting the way he was cuz tests have seemed to come out normal. Like the doc said it can be due to his back. My follow up is next appt. hopefully all goes well and he gets better! But I'll be coming back for his teeth cleaning. Thank you banfield chatsworth! Read Less

This place is wonderful! So lucky that they are so conveniently located a block from my home. This facility is bright, cheery and clean. With a Pet clean up station. Treats for doggies and kitties. Coffee and Tea service. A creative play area for children. Ample seating. All the while making you feel welcome and comfortable. Every single member of staff I encountered was absolutely wonderful.  From the front desk to the Doctor. We'll educated, well spoken, kind and compassionate beyond words.So blessed to have such a great pet clinic that treated my cock-a-poo with as much love as her own family.Highly recommended! He needed to rest.I figured Id write about this now to make sure I get in what i Had to say about these wonderful people at Banfield Chatsworth. They were kind understanding gentle caring with me and my cat. During the process I wanted to be there and it was very kind and peaceful , The Doctor gave me a hug afterwards. The offices are very nice, clean, hi tech. Thank you Banfield Chatsworth. Thank you so much and welcome to Chatsworth.
