The doctor is awesome. The prices are VERY good and his front desk personnel/vet techs are really sweet and helpful. I've taken Gizmo there many times for various reasons: teeth cleaning, ear infection, etc. and most recently my dog snuck into my brothers room and got into something he shouldn't have and the doctor and his staff acted quickly and saved my dog. I've ben going here for over 12 years. The main vet and nurse are amazing. Provides a realistic understanding of whats going on and not open ended maybes. Best prices for spaying cats and dogs, and when my dog stopped walking... Felt her back and accessed what to do. Offered x rays but with just touch figured out whats going on for my 9 year old lab. 24hr emergency hospital wanted to admit my dog and perfom blood test xrays and the whole nine.Read Less

ABSOLUTE WORST PLACE. My dog died tonight. She was dying from a splenic tumor and distended stomach, bleeding internally, and Dr. Fahmy did not even sense the urgency of her condition. He examined her and thought nothing about it nor did he know what to do about the fact that HER ABDOMEN WAS FILLING WITH FLUID. He gave me all wrong information which resulted in wasting 3 hours with his office WHILE MY DOG WAS DYING. The place is idiotic, UNORGANIZED, UNPROFFESSRIONAL, understaffed, and CLUELESS. Also, he refused to offer care to my dog because his assistant had to go home and STUDY for a test. SORRY, this is your job, assistant. You signed up for the responsibility. Cramming for a test is NOT your patients' problem. In the time it took them to argue that they can't, they could have been doing diagnostic tests. This is the most incompetent office I have ever witnessed. Period. Read Less

Dr Faumy is the most honest caring bet I've ever met. He goes over every single option and really cares about my babies and my wallet. Two in one! Also the vet techs are so caring and friendly. I drive 30-45 minutes just to see them and LA traffic is no joke. Read Less

Worst vet ever! He did not write the strength of the pill on the bottle, so I got one bottle to give my dog half a pill, then in 2 weeks when the first 2 doses dont work he gives me another with a dose of a pill and a half. I asked about the change and he just noded yes its more now because he was busy. I called to clarify and the secretary told me that they sold me less because they didn't have enough. Eventually after I bring up the pills looked different he said its a different dose. Why not say this fron the beginning when i first asked?!?! He got mad that I care about my dogs not being over dosed and banned me.Read Less

I love Dr. Fahmy and his staff! I had to put my sweet baby girl Lola down last year and they were so comforting. It was a very difficult decision. They cared for Lola once before when she got attacked by a big dog and they did an awesome job. Affordable prices and you know your pets are in good hands. : ) Read Less

Do NOT let the location fool you.... This is NOT like the giant place up the street... So much better... Dr Fahmy and the receptionist (Leslie) are the best. They had taken care of our three "fur-children" with true caring and understanding. When we took Griselda in with digestive problems he explained that a Schnauzer has a very sensitive digestive system. No medications were prescribed...only suggestions of foods she could eat....none are prescription.... I wish we still lived in the area. we would be using his practice now.... A wonderful and caring vet. My 11 year old dog collapsed with a stroke at 6AM while taking our morning walk. I was desperate to get him some help. I phoned Devonshire Animal Hospital and the vet actually answered the phone so early in the morning. He opened up the clinic for me and confirmed Eddy suffered a stroke. Under his guidance I assisted him in emergency treatment as we were the only two people there at that time of day. He gave his all trying to save my dog's life even though I knew Eddy would probably pass away. I was by the vet's side all the time and watched his extroadinary efforts to save Eddy with obvious skill and medication while at the same time comforting me with kind words. Dr. Fahmy is the best vet ever. He is so honest and fairly priced. He has always spent as much time as we needed and is very thorough. After other vets nickel and dime'd us and tried to convince us to pay for many un-needed tests Dr. Fahmy was able to help us save thousands and get our cat healthy again. - Proud owner of 1 Lrg Dog and 3 Cats. I think other reviews may have been rating other hospitals in the area and not Dr. Fahmys practice. He is the only vet at Devonshire Hospital. Read Less

THIS HOSPITAL HAS HELPED MY CAT. SHE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH KIDNEY DISEASE AT AGE 15. I WAS ADVISED BY THE DOCTOR TO PUT MY CAT ON SUB-Q FLUIDS AND K/D FOOD. MY CAT BEGAN HAVING WORSENING SYMPTOMS OF HER KIDNEY DISEASE, AND WAS CONSTIPATED. I THOUGHT SHE WAS GOING TO DIE, BECAUSE SHE WAS NOT EATING OR DRINKING AND LOST SO MUCH WEIGHT. I TOOK HER TO ANOTHER HOSPITAL, WHERE THEY TOLD ME SHE NEEDED TO BE HOSPITALIZED FOR A FEW DAYS AND MIGHT NOT MAKE IT, BUT IT WOULD COST ME AROUND 500.00 OR MORE. WELL I THEN TOOK HER BACK TO DEVONSHIRE ANIMAL HOSPITAL, WHERE THE VET GAVE ME LACTOSE MEDICATION AND USE ALOT OF LAXATONE (HAIRBALL MEDICINE) TO GET THE FECES OUT. SHE IS NOW DOING BETTER AFTER TWO OR THREE DAYS WITH HER MEDICATIONS. DR. FAHMY IS THE BEST VET AND HAS REASONABLE PRICES. HE REALLY DOES NOT GIVE UP HOPE IN YOUR ANIMALS. Dishonest, crook. Will misdiagnose and overmedicate just to charge you for services. We took several healthy dogs over the time to this vet and all were diagnosed as having allergies, required shots and a medications. Will try to solicit other services ( training, grooming, etc). Do your animal a favor: find him an honest vet! Read Less
