We adopted Sophie, a white mini schnauzer, from Schnauzer Rescue. We know she had been hit by a car and had suffered a fractured pelvis, but that was healed, so we adopted her, although she was very thin and seemed frail. She weighed only 10.5 lbs. A couple of weeks after we brought her home, Sophie wouldn't eat and was terribly ill; she wouldn't leave her bed. We took her to Dr. Anderson, who ran tests and discovered she had internal bleeding and would need surgery. Her spleen was badly damaged and Dr. Anderson removed it. With Dr. Anderson's tender care, and excellent surgical skills, Sophie recovered quickly and was soon up to 14.5 lbs. Then our other mini schnuazer, Percy, was due for his annual blood work for heart worms. He had been on heart worm medication ever since we adopted him and he tested negative. But poor Sophie tested positive for heart worms. Dr. Anderson treated her for the heartworms. This treatment, which contains arsenic, is VERY hard on a dog. Dr. Anderson and his staff were so caring and solicitious, even keeping Sophie in the clinic during the day to monitor her and administer fluids. Because of this wonderful care, Sophis is completely recovered, happy and energetic, and now weighs 16 lbs!! This clinic is the BEST! Read Less
