Family Friends Vet Hospital is a full service small animal hospital since 1994. We are committed to provide quality veterinary care throughout the life of your pet.Our services and facilities are designed to assist in routine preventative care for young, healthy pets early detection and treatment of disease as your pet ages; and complete medical and surgical care as necessary during his or her lifetime.
Our team is committed to providing superior advanced medical services coupled with exceptional customer satisfaction. We will anticipate the needs of our clients and patients while remembering to respect ourselves, our co-workers, our clients, and most of all, the animals we care for.
As a full service Vet Hospital we comprised of a modern hospital, surgical unit, radiology department, on-site laboratory and complete pet pharmacy which includes regular medication as well as flea, tick and heartworm prevention. We also offer the emergency veterinary services in addition to standard medical services. Because of all this, our facility enables you to make one stop for your pet’s medical care.

We’ve gone here for 2 years- NEVER AGAIN! This vet is rude, unprofessional, and reckless when prescribing dangerous and intense medications. Which is unfortunate because the rest of the staff is friendly and their prices are good.
After being prescribed prednisone and given as directed, we had to rush our 2 year old pup to the ER in the middle of the night with scary symptoms caused by prednisone. It’s been weeks and she’s still recovering. All could have been avoided if the vet would have taken 2 minutes to answer my questions or suggest other solutions to a simple allergy rash. He literally walked out of the room while I was mid sentence asking a question.
We were not warned AT ALL about how dangerous and scary the physical and behavioral side effects prednisone can be.
On top of all of this, I had to call nearly every day and fight with them for weeks just to get medical records sent to our insurance! They weren’t “allowed” to send the version needed by insurance with doctors notes/test results directly to me, which is sketchy and concerning. We have over $2000 on the line from 24 hours spent in the emergency clinic because of them. I shouldn’t have to fight with them to send a simple email!
All in all- avoid this place if your pet needs anything other than routine vaccines. Pay a little more and find a vet that actually cares.

I honestly have been very disappointed since my vet that has seen my dogs forever went corporate Dr. Sidhu did not try to upsell or over charge the fees are very reasonable. I am impressed. I had my concerns for my dog, he addressed them as an option but didn't push them. Awesome visit , awesome Dr. Mr. Sidhu, treated my baby like the human/dog she is and respected my wishes and concerns at half the price the vet clinic I have gone to for over a decade. This is not a corporate vet, they treat your baby like a special friend.... TY, I am not easy to please and was very impressed. 10 stars TY, for being straight forward, compassionate and accommodating.

Our little Chihuahua had a problem and they took good care of him. They got him in the same for a viisit without paying for an emergency vet visit.
We had plans that afternoon and they were able to help get him taken care of so we could still meet with friends for a BBQ.
The staff is always friendly and helpful. We had questions we forgot to ask and they made sure we got the answers from the vet.

Family Friends was very kind and the staff was caring towards my kitten. The cost of the procedures was far less than some other veterinaries I've visited. And that is an important consideration for a retired person. My only caveat is despite their office hours beginning at 8am, I had to wait until 9:15 for the doctor to arrive. Very anxious time for my kitten with 105 temperature and me.

I saw all these good reviews so naturally I picked this location. Called and schedule an appointment for 4 p.m. And got there on time. Stood in the waiting room with a nervous scared dog for an hour then got into the doctor's office where I waited even more till I eventually walked out. What is the point of scheduling an appointment when you don't get in at your schedule time? Worst service I've ever experienced at a veterinary clinic.

Everyone in that building is extremely nice and professional, they really show that they care about animals, and the prices are low. I brought my mom's cat here because her vaccinations were long expired and I also wanted her to have an exam. Everyone that cared for her was gentle and patient with her. The vet techs are very knowledgeable and explained what I can do to make her healthier (she's overweight). The veterinarian, Dr. Brar, is great and went over her current health and what steps I should take in the future. Every person I met with was amazing and explained everything to me every step of the way, which I really liked, and the whole process just took about an hour. I was also pleasantly surprised at the low prices for the exams and vaccinations - just a heads up that full payment is due at the end. I am extremely happy with the care here and will definitely be coming back for my mom's cat and my own cat in the future.

It was amazing. I wish i could give it more than 5 stars this place definitely deserves it. The customer service was amazing and the people working are very knowledgable. They saved my dogs life! She's at 100% because of them. She ate gorilla glue and it expanded and my German Shepherd needed immediate surgery or else she'd die. They luckily found time for her and gave her the surgery saving her life the same day i brought her in. I was so happy. They also have great payment plans! 10/10 Amazing!

5 years ago my moms Rottweiler needed a surgery that nobody else would preform in the Sacramento area and the other places we found in the Bay Area wanted 3X the money! Our experience was great, After meeting everyone at family friends vet we ditched the other vets and started bringing all of our pets to them. They genuinely care abouy the pets which is why when I got my own dog (Jaxx) I started bringing him to family friends and I've recommended tons of my friends to them over the years. Since the day I brought Jaxx home he's grown up only going to family friends vet hospital. We relocated out of the Sacramento area but love this place so much and trust their opinion, that my mom and I drive an hour and a half just to continue bringing our pets to them. Thanks for caring for Neeno, Jaxx, Kiezo, Baron, Ziggy, Tango & Snickers!!!

My experience at at Family Friends Veterinary Hospital was wonderful! I called at 8:00am on 10/31/16 to see if they could see my pup and they were able to get me in by 9:40am. I brought my overly hyper and rambunctious 1 year old pup in with a torn dew claw. They kept him for a few hours so they could sedate him and get his dew claw taken care of. The staff went over the care and medication instructions upon pickup. They asked me to pick my boy up a little earlier than they would have normally because he was so stressed out in the kennel. In my experience, vet bills are never cheap, but they did what they could to work with me so I could afford to take care of my crazy pup. The facility was clean. The staff was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and very good with my hyper boy. If you are in the market for a great vet, check them out!

Wonderful group of people here. I was recommended from a friend to bring my cat here as she brings her 3 cats here and loves it there. I had a sick kitty that I was so distraught I didn't know what was wrong with him and the staff was so nice and friendly and gave me all the suggestions I needed. They recommended some antibiotics and diet and he thankfully got all better. They also left the door open for me to call or come back if what they recommended wasn't helping. So appreciate the staff here and I will continue to bring my pets here.

I am very disappointed in this office. Our dog has been a patient for about a year and had been seen a few weeks ago for an ear infection and some yeast issues, we paid a fortune for the products (our dog is worth it) and the condition worsened. We found a deep sore on our dogs face (happened with a cone on, while we slept) and it needed stitches and when we arrived at OUR vet....they would not see him or fit him in. They told us to try to find someone who might take him because they were to busy. HE NEEDED STITCHES. Never going back again.

My puppy had to have surgery for a small intestine blockage. This hospital took such good care of him and weren't just out to make money. We were hopeful he could pass the foreign object on his own but he wasn't able to. Dr. Brar took over his care and wasted no time making room in his very busy schedule to do surgery. The whole staff was wonderful in answering our questions and understanding in our distress. I went in a couple days after surgery to buy him some food and they asked about him and sent home hugs and love for him. All in all it was a very stressful situation that was handled with compassion and professionalism. I would strongly recommend them to anyone who needs a good vet. Thank you again.

When our chihuahua broke her arm, we took her to Family Friends to get a cast. The Vet forgot to put gauze in the cast, and she had this cast on for 3 months. Unaware of the cast rubbing the inside of her arm, We took her back to the vet for checkup.The cast was taken off, and there was a bad infection, revealing the flesh that rubbed off and bacteria from the flesh was growing on the inside of the cast. I heard our dog howling in pain from the waiting room. Then they offered to fix the unfixed-bone for $360. Each cast for her was a chunk out of the pocket. I apologize, but Family Friends left us very incontent and frustrated, looking for a trustworthy veternarian. We then went to a vet off of Sunrise next to Raleys and across from Safeway and the gas station on the corner. Offered each cast for $40. Beautiful group of careful vets that took care of our dog. Gave her "sugar" casts to heal the infection and was healed in 1 month. Please be cautious when taking your dog that broke a limb to Family Friends.

Whether it's a very painful foxtail (three weeks in a row) or something more serious I know I can count on the vets and the staff to take care of my pets when they need it. Their prices are very reasonable letting me afford my pets the best of care. Ironically I work at another leading vet hospital but for my pets I go to Family Friends!

Our 6yr old Maltipoo fell sick on Christmas Eve and from then on (4 days) we worried that she was not going to make it. Come to find out that she has Diabetes . Dr. Brar and Dr. Sidhu were so compassionate and offered such good care of our Lucy. We feel that they helped us understand every step of care and we were never in the dark about how much all of the care was going to coast us. We just can't say enough good things about the staff and doctors there. Thank you for caring about us and our pet. I drive past 5 other Vet clinics to get to Dr. Brar and Dr. Sidhu and staff and will continue to do so when needed.

We’ve gone here for 2 years- NEVER AGAIN! This vet is rude, unprofessional, and reckless when prescribing dangerous and intense medications. Which is unfortunate because the rest of the staff is friendly and their prices are good.
After being prescribed prednisone and given as directed, we had to rush our 2 year old pup to the ER in the middle of the night with scary symptoms caused by prednisone. It’s been weeks and she’s still recovering. All could have been avoided if the vet would have taken 2 minutes to answer my questions or suggest other solutions to a simple allergy rash. He literally walked out of the room while I was mid sentence asking a question.
We were not warned AT ALL about how dangerous and scary the physical and behavioral side effects prednisone can be.
On top of all of this, I had to call nearly every day and fight with them for weeks just to get medical records sent to our insurance! They weren’t “allowed” to send the version needed by insurance with doctors notes/test results directly to me, which is sketchy and concerning. We have over $2000 on the line from 24 hours spent in the emergency clinic because of them. I shouldn’t have to fight with them to send a simple email!
All in all- avoid this place if your pet needs anything other than routine vaccines. Pay a little more and find a vet that actually cares.

I honestly have been very disappointed since my vet that has seen my dogs forever went corporate Dr. Sidhu did not try to upsell or over charge the fees are very reasonable. I am impressed. I had my concerns for my dog, he addressed them as an option but didn't push them. Awesome visit , awesome Dr. Mr. Sidhu, treated my baby like the human/dog she is and respected my wishes and concerns at half the price the vet clinic I have gone to for over a decade. This is not a corporate vet, they treat your baby like a special friend.... TY, I am not easy to please and was very impressed. 10 stars TY, for being straight forward, compassionate and accommodating.

Our little Chihuahua had a problem and they took good care of him. They got him in the same for a viisit without paying for an emergency vet visit.
We had plans that afternoon and they were able to help get him taken care of so we could still meet with friends for a BBQ.
The staff is always friendly and helpful. We had questions we forgot to ask and they made sure we got the answers from the vet.

Family Friends was very kind and the staff was caring towards my kitten. The cost of the procedures was far less than some other veterinaries I've visited. And that is an important consideration for a retired person. My only caveat is despite their office hours beginning at 8am, I had to wait until 9:15 for the doctor to arrive. Very anxious time for my kitten with 105 temperature and me.

I've been going to Family Friends Veterinary Hospital for years. They have given my cats expert and gentle care. The staff are friendly, helpful, and caring. Dr. Sidhu takes excellent care of my cats.

I saw all these good reviews so naturally I picked this location. Called and schedule an appointment for 4 p.m. And got there on time. Stood in the waiting room with a nervous scared dog for an hour then got into the doctor's office where I waited even more till I eventually walked out. What is the point of scheduling an appointment when you don't get in at your schedule time? Worst service I've ever experienced at a veterinary clinic.

Everyone in that building is extremely nice and professional, they really show that they care about animals, and the prices are low. I brought my mom's cat here because her vaccinations were long expired and I also wanted her to have an exam. Everyone that cared for her was gentle and patient with her. The vet techs are very knowledgeable and explained what I can do to make her healthier (she's overweight). The veterinarian, Dr. Brar, is great and went over her current health and what steps I should take in the future. Every person I met with was amazing and explained everything to me every step of the way, which I really liked, and the whole process just took about an hour. I was also pleasantly surprised at the low prices for the exams and vaccinations - just a heads up that full payment is due at the end. I am extremely happy with the care here and will definitely be coming back for my mom's cat and my own cat in the future.

It was amazing. I wish i could give it more than 5 stars this place definitely deserves it. The customer service was amazing and the people working are very knowledgable. They saved my dogs life! She's at 100% because of them. She ate gorilla glue and it expanded and my German Shepherd needed immediate surgery or else she'd die. They luckily found time for her and gave her the surgery saving her life the same day i brought her in. I was so happy. They also have great payment plans! 10/10 Amazing!

What a great place and great value, I mean open 7 days a week with no extra for Sunday appt. We are so happy to have found this vet, they are so nice and very fast. Which I am sure our puppy appreciated. Where other vets we have visited were really pushy with extras these guys were all about the issue at hand with no upselling which i appreciated. We will go here from now on!!

5 years ago my moms Rottweiler needed a surgery that nobody else would preform in the Sacramento area and the other places we found in the Bay Area wanted 3X the money! Our experience was great, After meeting everyone at family friends vet we ditched the other vets and started bringing all of our pets to them. They genuinely care abouy the pets which is why when I got my own dog (Jaxx) I started bringing him to family friends and I've recommended tons of my friends to them over the years. Since the day I brought Jaxx home he's grown up only going to family friends vet hospital. We relocated out of the Sacramento area but love this place so much and trust their opinion, that my mom and I drive an hour and a half just to continue bringing our pets to them. Thanks for caring for Neeno, Jaxx, Kiezo, Baron, Ziggy, Tango & Snickers!!!

This vet does not care about a lost pet even if the tag has their name. How on earth would you get a tag from them if they didn't see. There is a found cat from tags in 2014 and the vet says we don't know who this is. Part of the problem with missing animals is the vets. All they care about is money in their pocket.

My experience at at Family Friends Veterinary Hospital was wonderful! I called at 8:00am on 10/31/16 to see if they could see my pup and they were able to get me in by 9:40am. I brought my overly hyper and rambunctious 1 year old pup in with a torn dew claw. They kept him for a few hours so they could sedate him and get his dew claw taken care of. The staff went over the care and medication instructions upon pickup. They asked me to pick my boy up a little earlier than they would have normally because he was so stressed out in the kennel. In my experience, vet bills are never cheap, but they did what they could to work with me so I could afford to take care of my crazy pup. The facility was clean. The staff was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and very good with my hyper boy. If you are in the market for a great vet, check them out!

Wonderful group of people here. I was recommended from a friend to bring my cat here as she brings her 3 cats here and loves it there. I had a sick kitty that I was so distraught I didn't know what was wrong with him and the staff was so nice and friendly and gave me all the suggestions I needed. They recommended some antibiotics and diet and he thankfully got all better. They also left the door open for me to call or come back if what they recommended wasn't helping. So appreciate the staff here and I will continue to bring my pets here.

I am very disappointed in this office. Our dog has been a patient for about a year and had been seen a few weeks ago for an ear infection and some yeast issues, we paid a fortune for the products (our dog is worth it) and the condition worsened. We found a deep sore on our dogs face (happened with a cone on, while we slept) and it needed stitches and when we arrived at OUR vet....they would not see him or fit him in. They told us to try to find someone who might take him because they were to busy. HE NEEDED STITCHES. Never going back again.

My puppy had to have surgery for a small intestine blockage. This hospital took such good care of him and weren't just out to make money. We were hopeful he could pass the foreign object on his own but he wasn't able to. Dr. Brar took over his care and wasted no time making room in his very busy schedule to do surgery. The whole staff was wonderful in answering our questions and understanding in our distress. I went in a couple days after surgery to buy him some food and they asked about him and sent home hugs and love for him. All in all it was a very stressful situation that was handled with compassion and professionalism. I would strongly recommend them to anyone who needs a good vet. Thank you again.

When our chihuahua broke her arm, we took her to Family Friends to get a cast. The Vet forgot to put gauze in the cast, and she had this cast on for 3 months. Unaware of the cast rubbing the inside of her arm, We took her back to the vet for checkup.The cast was taken off, and there was a bad infection, revealing the flesh that rubbed off and bacteria from the flesh was growing on the inside of the cast. I heard our dog howling in pain from the waiting room. Then they offered to fix the unfixed-bone for $360. Each cast for her was a chunk out of the pocket. I apologize, but Family Friends left us very incontent and frustrated, looking for a trustworthy veternarian. We then went to a vet off of Sunrise next to Raleys and across from Safeway and the gas station on the corner. Offered each cast for $40. Beautiful group of careful vets that took care of our dog. Gave her "sugar" casts to heal the infection and was healed in 1 month. Please be cautious when taking your dog that broke a limb to Family Friends.

We took Spencer in today for his first teeth cleaning and to have his cysts checked they were awesome and gave our sweet 12 year old Chessie great and compassionate care at a very affordable price. Love the current vet he has turned this office around into a first class care facility for your pets. Give them a try you won't be sorry.

I'm a huge fan of Family Friends. They ALWAYS get my pet(s) in on emergency; when I need them they're there for me and my family. Whether it's a very painful foxtail (three weeks in a row) or something more serious I know I can count on the vets and the staff to take care of my pets when they need it. Their prices are very reasonable letting me afford my pets the best of care. Ironically I work at another leading vet hospital but for my pets I go to Family Friends!

Our 6yr old Maltipoo fell sick on Christmas Eve and from then on (4 days) we worried that she was not going to make it. Come to find out that she has Diabetes . Dr. Brar and Dr. Sidhu were so compassionate and offered such good care of our Lucy. We feel that they helped us understand every step of care and we were never in the dark about how much all of the care was going to coast us. We just can't say enough good things about the staff and doctors there. Thank you for caring about us and our pet. I drive past 5 other Vet clinics to get to Dr. Brar and Dr. Sidhu and staff and will continue to do so when needed.
