Very compassionate. Even though I have never been there, and they didn't have any time available to see my 17 yr old dog, they squeezed her in. I absolutely love this place! It may be the best vet I've ever gone too. I first went to have my dog's shots renewed & the price was SO affordable! I was shocked at how cheap it was. The next few times I came however were not under the greatest of circumstances. In 2016, my dog injured herself on two separate occasions. Both times I took her here and the service was great. The vets were awesome, they did a great job, everything was efficient, & while I fully expected these visits to break the bank, they were actually extremely affordable! And we had free check-ups after! I'm happy to report that my girl has been accident free in 2017 & I HOPE we won't be returning any time soon for anything other than shots, but if we do I know she'll be taken care of. We adopted 4 shichon puppies Libby, Indie, Odo and Ezri. It took a long time to get the appointment going, but they answered all our questions. The tech was patient with a big family in a tiny room with our little bears. My 4 month old shichon Odo got neutered a week later. I'm a nervous puppy mom. It was a hard decision to fix our little guy whose so little and so young. The vet answered all my questions and helped assure my fears the best he could while being honest. They said as soon as Odo woke up he cried to be held. And they said they loved holding him until was time to go home. Thank you for taking care of my high maintenance little guy. Not happy I called for two days to talk to the vet that had been my dogs vet,My dog passed away all  of a sudden .She was only 8 years old I did xrays ultrasound blood test urine ,They gave her Proton 75mg for urine problems which I think killed her. No call back ?No concern ?I spent a lot of money and time there and they seem to just not care . now that she is dead .Yes I am angry upset and beside myself .I thought they cared BUT I guess I was wrong .I am in tears to know that I picked the wrong vets and may have helped kill my baby .,The prices are good and they act like they care but I guess not ,How much time would take just to talk to me ?I am so upset nothing will every bring her back but I'm sorry for your loss and you did all you could would have been nice Read Less

Before finding this place, we went to another pet/vet place and were extremely disappointed/discouraged. They spent about 5 mins with us before literally showing a computer screen with a high total bill. The doctor spent more on the computer then with our dogThen we found Mercy Pet Hospital and we are so glad we did!!Dr. Jade Obrien was amazing!! She did a thorough, heartfelt, and well explained exam on our dog. She answered all our questions while making us feel heard and respected. Mercy pet hospital was recommended to us by our friend who is also a dog breeder.  This branch is located on Antelope Rd and hwy 80.  Staff is extremely friendly all of them love pets.    On puppy first time exam they expect explained many different things about deworming vaccines and other questions that we had.   Today has another visit for ticks and flea control.  Had positive experience visiting both times. One of The front staff workers went above and beyond to help with the cost of treatment for my mother's dog! all the staff there have been very good they gave choices instead of "must do now" gilt trip you get from so many other veterinary hospital. My little pug had gotten sick quick I took him to one vet And it seemed they just wanted your money. With in a few days I had to take him in again ....I had to get him into some place that had passion for animals not paper and these guys were just wonderful. My sister recommended this vet to me. Great people and the best affordable prices you will find anywhere. The only problem that my beloved Kitten didn't like was the cone. He has been having so much bad luck since having the cone on. He got his foot stuck in it and it literally put him in a panic mode. Needless to say, I had to rescue him by taking the cone off. Then, somehow he got his head outside of the cone. We need to come up with a better solution for these animals after having surgery. These cones are not considered a safe method. Had to put my 14 yr. Old Black Cocker Spaniel down over the weekend. A very hard thing to do. They took care of us pretty quickly. The staff was very friendly for having to deal with this daily....a job i could never do!! Aside from not getting the IV in properly the first time. It went somewhat smoothly. Bogey was in alot of distress so it's possoble the IV came out while he was struggling to feel where he was at so i dont blame them for the delay. I wish they could heal the hole in my heart!! So very disappointed that after years of loyalty and thousands of dollars spent, Mercy Pet Hospital turned away my dog who had nearly drowned this morning. After calling at 11:09 am and telling them what happened and that I was on my way they said come in in, but when I got there they told me to go to the emergency vet as they were too busy and I didn't have an appointment. She was seizing while I ran her to the car and and raced to Atlantic Street Vet where they immediately took her back to get her stabilized by warming her and giving her much needed oxygen. (Which Mercy could have easily done) Those additional 20 minutes could have ultimately been the difference between life and death for my dog. What vet turns away an animal in need? At the very least they could have stabilized her and then had me transfer her to the all night clinic. Very disappointed in their lack of quality care in an emergency.Read Less

Usually this is a good hospital. But a couple weeks ago I called in to refill my dogs heart worm prescription and on the phone they told me it would take 24 hours. Well, 24 hours later I go to pick it up and the receptionist tells me it could take another 24 hours. This was 30 minutes before closing, however I refused to leave without at least a written prescription so my dog could take the medicine on time. Finally, an HOUR LATER, they bring me a written prescription and the ASSISTANT lectures me in how heart worm preventives work. The explanation she gave me was wrong, I've been through vet tech school I know how it works. Also I got belittled and blamed for the whole thing. I am NEVER taking my dog here again. Read Less

Amazing people here. They are very caring for my furry babies. I live in Lincoln and it is worth the drive for how much more affordable they are and their customer service. One of our dogs was attacked by another dog and needed surgery. It was going to cost almost $3k at another vet and was just over $1200.00 here. It would have been less if we would have gone to them in the first place instead of waiting 24 hrs like the first vet told us to. Vaccinations are the best price you'll find for miles. Amazing customer service! I've been taking my dogs to this location for years though I admit i don't bring them in as often as I should. Today I had to take all 3 of my L/XL dogs to update their vaccines by myself. I knew it was going to be a big hassle but I didn't really have a choice. I took one of my semi-feral colony cats, Mara, to their clinic in Citrus Heights yesterday and they were fantastic. Mara has a large open bite on the back of her neck. I brought her into the clinic in a feral cat trap. They knocked her out, cleaned out her wound, gave her a shot of Covenia, and now we are keeping her in a very large cage at our house until she is totally healed.Read Less

My, My, where do I begin with this inept vet clinic. What was supposed to be a simple neutering of my 7 month old male cat a few days ago turned out to be a nightmare and so unprofessional I have never experienced as a lifetime pet owner of dogs and cats I found Mercy Pet Hospital because I was told by the first vet I took my kitty to that he would charge too much to neuter my cat and to call around for cheaper prices to get him neutered. The day of my cat's appointment came on March 12 2016 and brought him in at 7:15 am and got a call to pick him up at 2:30 pm. When I got to Mercy Pet Hospital, the receptionist told me to pay the bill first and the vet would meet with me shortly to discuss my cat's post operative care. But.... as soon as the vet came into the room I was in, he said there was an "incident" with my cat and explained that when he was giving my 7 month old cat his sedative shot, my cat didn't like it an did a "alligator roll" which caused the shot needle to break off inside of him --- and then having to get it out and do an X-Ray to make sure they got all the needle metal out of his behind. Wow! You would have thought they were holding down a lion who they needed to be afraid of but my cat weighs a whopping 8 lbs. Mercy Pet Hospital never called me when this event happened, nor did they bend over backwards to discount any monies I had already paid them when I walked into the door. This facility and newbie vets and not worthy of anyone risking harm to their pets. Now my cat has a bald shaved area on his behind with a mark and scar that should have never, ever have happened in the first place. Go somewhere else and do your due diligence first when looking for a good Vet Clinic/Hospital because it can spare you lots of anguish and pain to your dear loved pet. Read Less
