The vet here did a partial neuter on my dad's cryptorchid kitten and told him he needed to wait awhile to see if the retained one would drop. Ofcourse, it never did. All other vets I talked to said that is wrong and it should be removed immediately because it could cause other problems! He never told my dad that. Obviously this guy is not very educated and I wouldn't take my animals there.

I discovered Alta animal hospital as I am a visitor and needed a vet that was open late on Friday. I was given an appointment the same day close to closing for my Yorkie that was in pain. She needed to get dental work done as she had loose teeth. The amount of care that went into this 3 visit procedure was extraordinary. Dr. Sran made the point to call me himself first thing in the morning when he came in to review the blood-work and last thing before he left for the day to check up on Betsey after the cleaning. I am grateful for the compassion that was shown and the extra steps taken. Thank you!

Im not sure how they have so many good reviews as i noticed something was off the moment i walked in. The doctor, doesnt come across as a doctor at all. The moment i met him i felt as if he was trying to hand me the keys to a new used car. He is a glorified used car salesman, and what hes selling is your animals health.. the problem is that even now i question whatever he injected her with because i have the feeling that she would have been ok without whatever he gave her. The pills, expensive as they were, i stopped giving them to her because i heard really bad things about them from other dog owners online. I went in only to see what she had going on expecting to pay the $45 for the visit. He pestered me constantly about how at jeopardy her health was and made me feel guilty for being broke and not going into debt to pay him for services. In the end they had the wonderful idea to open a credit card for me, which somehow went through even though i was unemployed at the moment. and now i am stuck paying back a $400 dollar bill in 5 months or else the interest is at 6.25%. good deal right.. I will never ever be returning to this place ever again. The worst vet i have ever been too.

Had my first visit with Dr. Sran yesterday. My dog was limping and favoring one leg. Relocating to the Fresno area I wanted to find a caring vet. Coming from Reno, I can only say I hit the jackpot with Dr. Sran. His bedside manner, not only for the pet, but the pet parent is exemplary, along with his determination to get to the root of the problem. I have now scheduled wellness check up appointments for my other 3 legged children!

I've been taking my 9 year old Cockapoo to Dr. Sran since she's been a puppy. In fact, he's been the only vet that I've taken her to with the exception of specialists, of whom he referred me to. I feel like he's always honest and has my fur baby's best at heart. It is apparent that his staff loves the animals that they work with and my Jazzi is comfortable there. His hours of operation make it easier to get an appointment, since he's open until 9pm during the week and for the morning on Saturdays. Financially, he's not the least expensive place but he's the only doctor at his practice and he does good, thorough work. He did an amazing job with removing my baby's eyes when they were diseased and causing her so much pain. I trust him with my animals life. I definitely recommend him and Alta!

I would not even be giving them a star, but I have to for the review. I went in with my puppy from the shelter that seemed to have kennel cough, the doctor gave me antibiotics and injected my dog with the shots to relive him. Since there was NO testing done whatsoever on my poor pup, he is now in the Emergency Vet on Blackstone being treated for pneumonia! Plus Alta Animal Hospital overcharged for every thing the shots he gave my puppy cost me $135 there and at the feed store, and with other vets have NEVER cost this much, feed store shots cost $10 for all three to treat the same problem! DO NOT GO HERE! I know I will never be gong here again, now that I am up to my butt in medical bills for my puppy, when this certainly could have been avoided. Unprofessional.

Many years ago I parted ways with this a**hole. We had a Lab/Chow mix who needed a visit, and he was always Vet shy. He has a room for larger dogs that has a moving table. On the back of that table was several blunt hooks (I imagine for tying a leash?) Well my dog never liked his mouth messed with and Dr. Sran had him pressed up against that back. When he stopped checking his mouth, I noticed his eye was caught on one of those hooks.. It unhooked from his eye with a twang sound, as it was caught under the upper eyelid. The Vet Tech immediately said "Well those are going to come off!" And Dr. Sran scolded her for speaking and sent her out of the room. He looked at my dog's eye with what came across as love and care, and then prescribed 2 medications for precaution. Which he charged me for, AND extra for the exam for his eye!!?? When I protested at the front desk and told the receptionist that I now have a serious issue with the bill, she looked both horrified and confused. Dr. Sran tried at first to tell me it was nothing he did to cause this and he also said it was not legal to "give away medications". I promptly reminded him that court would cost a lot more than medications and he suddenly had a change of heart and gave me the meds as well as removed the excess charges.. I never went back and will NEVER allow him to touch another animal. It was an accident, I genuinely didn't "blame" him for my dog's behavior or the freakish accident of that hook. I drew the line when he took it to the bill and then proceeded to blame my dog. The hooks are HIS property and were their own potential hazard. There's a right and a wrong way to treat people. He chose the wrong way

My cat ran away for 3 months, and we find it in critical condition (Dehydrated, and starving.) So we immediately tried to find an specialist, and the first thing they say "We need to test for HIV" It's going to cost 1,000 dollars. I thought they were joking, but they were not. Basically I came there for reassurance because they did not give me any new info or how to help my pet from this critical condition.
Basically I force fed my cat water, and soft food. A month later looked a lot better. I am not worried for HIV or AIDS. I am sorry but when I went through that door that's was least of my worries.

Don't look any further. This vet is one of the best.
Last week took my cat in to Family Pet Hospital for what we thought could be an Upper Respiratory Infection. The vet said there was nothing they could do for her by just looking her over with an exam. Told us the only thing he could do was take a blood test that would be 92$. We couldn't afford that much with so little info so he said if she gets worse bring her back.
Noticed yesterday that she was favoring her right eye, watering, discharge, the works. So today I took her in and he gave her a drop, checked for scraches. Said the only thing he can do is prescribe us a eye drops and if she's not better or gets worse to come back.
So all this was not setting with me right. Was told to take this prescription fill it at any pharmacy and hope for the best. Went to petco, explained my situation and they looked at me like omg this doesn't sound right. So I called Alta Vet Hospital.
They got me in that day and within 5mins the vet told us our cat had a URI and an eye infection and everything she needed would come out to 125$. I cried because we didn't have that money and when we did we didn't have the answers we had now. He calmly asked us if we applied for there care credit and when we said we were declined he firmly stated that he would give our baby some eye drops to start and a shot to get some meds in her system and we could pay it on the 1st when is when me and my boyfriend get paid. He was trusting us to not let him down. We were so greatful to him for helping us out the way he did. Please animal lovers. Take your pets here. You won't be disappointed. I WILL be taking my animals to Alta from now on!

We love and trust Dr. Sran and his staff. We first went several years ago on the recommendation of a fellow animal lover and friend when we were having an animal emergency. We were able to get in immediately. Since that time, we have had the opportunity to build a great relationship with Dr. Sran. He always treats us and our animals with kindness, compassion and respect. He is truly a wonderful vet and we feel fortunate to be able to take our dogs to someone who cares so much. He is also extremely competent, and actually saved our dog's degloved paw from potentially being amputated with a sugar treatment that he had read about in a journal article.

Sadly, our baby did not make it. The doctor was honest, knowledgeable, kind, and sympathetic. During the hardest thing we've ever had to do, we were comforted by his skill and compassion. Dr Stan and his entire staff do truly care about the pet. When we went in the first time they greeted my wife, Courtney (our youngest furchild/ dog) and me. When we returned for the followup the receptionist greeted Courtney first (by name) and then us. This shows that the staff do care. This is so much like another clinic in downtown Clovis (name has something to do with "saddles"... Please do you fur children a favor and go to ALTA Animal Hospital.... Five Stars is NOT enough.... The vet here did a partial neuter on my dad's cryptorchid kitten and told him he needed to wait awhile to see if the retained one would drop. Ofcourse, it never did. All other vets I talked to said that is wrong and it should be removed immediately because it could cause other problems! He never told my dad that. Obviously this guy is not very educated and I wouldn't take my animals there.

I discovered Alta animal hospital as I am a visitor and needed a vet that was open late on Friday. I was given an appointment the same day close to closing for my Yorkie that was in pain. She needed to get dental work done as she had loose teeth. The amount of care that went into this 3 visit procedure was extraordinary. Dr. Sran made the point to call me himself first thing in the morning when he came in to review the blood-work and last thing before he left for the day to check up on Betsey after the cleaning. I am grateful for the compassion that was shown and the extra steps taken. Thank you!

Im not sure how they have so many good reviews as i noticed something was off the moment i walked in. The doctor, doesnt come across as a doctor at all. The moment i met him i felt as if he was trying to hand me the keys to a new used car. He is a glorified used car salesman, and what hes selling is your animals health.. the problem is that even now i question whatever he injected her with because i have the feeling that she would have been ok without whatever he gave her. The pills, expensive as they were, i stopped giving them to her because i heard really bad things about them from other dog owners online. I went in only to see what she had going on expecting to pay the $45 for the visit. He pestered me constantly about how at jeopardy her health was and made me feel guilty for being broke and not going into debt to pay him for services. In the end they had the wonderful idea to open a credit card for me, which somehow went through even though i was unemployed at the moment. and now i am stuck paying back a $400 dollar bill in 5 months or else the interest is at 6.25%. good deal right.. I will never ever be returning to this place ever again. The worst vet i have ever been too.

Had my first visit with Dr. Sran yesterday. My dog was limping and favoring one leg. Relocating to the Fresno area I wanted to find a caring vet. Coming from Reno, I can only say I hit the jackpot with Dr. Sran. His bedside manner, not only for the pet, but the pet parent is exemplary, along with his determination to get to the root of the problem. I have now scheduled wellness check up appointments for my other 3 legged children!

I've been taking my 9 year old Cockapoo to Dr. Sran since she's been a puppy. In fact, he's been the only vet that I've taken her to with the exception of specialists, of whom he referred me to. I feel like he's always honest and has my fur baby's best at heart. It is apparent that his staff loves the animals that they work with and my Jazzi is comfortable there. His hours of operation make it easier to get an appointment, since he's open until 9pm during the week and for the morning on Saturdays. Financially, he's not the least expensive place but he's the only doctor at his practice and he does good, thorough work. He did an amazing job with removing my baby's eyes when they were diseased and causing her so much pain. I trust him with my animals life. I definitely recommend him and Alta!

Dr.Sran is the very best, the staff is just wow, friendly, caring, and I got in in less then a hour after I called, my Charlie coughed all weekend and was itching as well, I have never done this before but I had to fill out a paper all about my pet as though I was taking a human to see a doctor, I am so very impressed with Alta Animal Hospital in Clovis,Ca, I will never ever go anywhere else again, I am so blessed, And Dr N, Sran even called me himself to see how Charlie is doing and to let me know his blood test came back all good, all I can say is......Thank You Dr Sran & Staff!!

I would not even be giving them a star, but I have to for the review. I went in with my puppy from the shelter that seemed to have kennel cough, the doctor gave me antibiotics and injected my dog with the shots to relive him. Since there was NO testing done whatsoever on my poor pup, he is now in the Emergency Vet on Blackstone being treated for pneumonia! Plus Alta Animal Hospital overcharged for every thing the shots he gave my puppy cost me $135 there and at the feed store, and with other vets have NEVER cost this much, feed store shots cost $10 for all three to treat the same problem! DO NOT GO HERE! I know I will never be gong here again, now that I am up to my butt in medical bills for my puppy, when this certainly could have been avoided. Unprofessional.

He is great with my animals. They were very compassionate when we had to put down our elderly dog last year. All in all the best vet in Fresno or Clovis.

Many years ago I parted ways with this a**hole. We had a Lab/Chow mix who needed a visit, and he was always Vet shy. He has a room for larger dogs that has a moving table. On the back of that table was several blunt hooks (I imagine for tying a leash?) Well my dog never liked his mouth messed with and Dr. Sran had him pressed up against that back. When he stopped checking his mouth, I noticed his eye was caught on one of those hooks.. It unhooked from his eye with a twang sound, as it was caught under the upper eyelid. The Vet Tech immediately said "Well those are going to come off!" And Dr. Sran scolded her for speaking and sent her out of the room. He looked at my dog's eye with what came across as love and care, and then prescribed 2 medications for precaution. Which he charged me for, AND extra for the exam for his eye!!?? When I protested at the front desk and told the receptionist that I now have a serious issue with the bill, she looked both horrified and confused. Dr. Sran tried at first to tell me it was nothing he did to cause this and he also said it was not legal to "give away medications". I promptly reminded him that court would cost a lot more than medications and he suddenly had a change of heart and gave me the meds as well as removed the excess charges.. I never went back and will NEVER allow him to touch another animal. It was an accident, I genuinely didn't "blame" him for my dog's behavior or the freakish accident of that hook. I drew the line when he took it to the bill and then proceeded to blame my dog. The hooks are HIS property and were their own potential hazard. There's a right and a wrong way to treat people. He chose the wrong way

My cat ran away for 3 months, and we find it in critical condition (Dehydrated, and starving.) So we immediately tried to find an specialist, and the first thing they say "We need to test for HIV" It's going to cost 1,000 dollars. I thought they were joking, but they were not. Basically I came there for reassurance because they did not give me any new info or how to help my pet from this critical condition.
Basically I force fed my cat water, and soft food. A month later looked a lot better. I am not worried for HIV or AIDS. I am sorry but when I went through that door that's was least of my worries.

Don't look any further. This vet is one of the best.
Last week took my cat in to Family Pet Hospital for what we thought could be an Upper Respiratory Infection. The vet said there was nothing they could do for her by just looking her over with an exam. Told us the only thing he could do was take a blood test that would be 92$. We couldn't afford that much with so little info so he said if she gets worse bring her back.
Noticed yesterday that she was favoring her right eye, watering, discharge, the works. So today I took her in and he gave her a drop, checked for scraches. Said the only thing he can do is prescribe us a eye drops and if she's not better or gets worse to come back.
So all this was not setting with me right. Was told to take this prescription fill it at any pharmacy and hope for the best. Went to petco, explained my situation and they looked at me like omg this doesn't sound right. So I called Alta Vet Hospital.
They got me in that day and within 5mins the vet told us our cat had a URI and an eye infection and everything she needed would come out to 125$. I cried because we didn't have that money and when we did we didn't have the answers we had now. He calmly asked us if we applied for there care credit and when we said we were declined he firmly stated that he would give our baby some eye drops to start and a shot to get some meds in her system and we could pay it on the 1st when is when me and my boyfriend get paid. He was trusting us to not let him down. We were so greatful to him for helping us out the way he did. Please animal lovers. Take your pets here. You won't be disappointed. I WILL be taking my animals to Alta from now on!

We love and trust Dr. Sran and his staff. We first went several years ago on the recommendation of a fellow animal lover and friend when we were having an animal emergency. We were able to get in immediately. Since that time, we have had the opportunity to build a great relationship with Dr. Sran. He always treats us and our animals with kindness, compassion and respect. He is truly a wonderful vet and we feel fortunate to be able to take our dogs to someone who cares so much. He is also extremely competent, and actually saved our dog's degloved paw from potentially being amputated with a sugar treatment that he had read about in a journal article.

Sadly, our baby did not make it. The doctor was honest, knowledgeable, kind, and sympathetic. During the hardest thing we've ever had to do, we were comforted by his skill and compassion. Dr Stan and his entire staff do truly care about the pet. When we went in the first time they greeted my wife, Courtney (our youngest furchild/ dog) and me. When we returned for the followup the receptionist greeted Courtney first (by name) and then us. This shows that the staff do care. This is so much like another clinic in downtown Clovis (name has something to do with "saddles"... Please do you fur children a favor and go to ALTA Animal Hospital.... Five Stars is NOT enough.... I have raved about them all over Clovis. Too bad we are moving across the country...

The staff at Alta Animal Hospital was so great. When Sparky wasn't feeling well I took him into Alta Animal hospital and was greated and treated so well. I could tell the staff anf the doctor genuinel did care for my dog. I would highly recommend Dr. S and his staff.
