I had (past tense) been taking my dog to Adobe for 4 years, initially was happy, referred some friends there. THEN my dog came down with cancer, in his blood, liver, and stomach. Within 24 hours my bill was $1800, that was fine, I loved my dog, we were going to try chemo & radiation. I paid $600 the first day just to put some money down on his treatment. The day after he was diagnosed, he was to start the chemo, unfortunately he passed away that morning, he was 7 years old. The cancer was that fast. I WAS DEVASTATED!!! I left work early to take care of everything, and bury him in his favorite spot in the back yard. I had been talking to the staff all day long that day and the day before. When I went to pick him up, I was a sobbing mess. They wouldn't give him to me until I paid the bill in full!! GIVE ME MY DOG! Again, I had been going there for 4 years, had ALWAYS paid my bills. I just wanted to bury my dog. This had happened so fast that I was devastated. He had been through my bad relationships, and both of us growing up, both him and I. I hadn't taken my purse with me when I went to pick up his body, first they asked for a check, when I explained I got a ride there to get him because I was too upset to drive, they asked if I had a credit card on me. I was standing in the waiting room crying, and they were badgering me for money. No customer sympathy, nothing. They then told me I couldn't have my dogs body until it was taken care of. Finally I told them I would sign a statement that I would take my dog, bury him, and then get in my car and drive back to pay them before 8:00pm. NO FEELINGS AT ALL!! That is what I did, took my dog home, buried him, and with dirt still on my hands and closed drove back and gave them a check for the balance in full. I didn't mind paying the balance, I was devastated that within 48 hours of me noticing my dog was sick, he died. I received no condolences, sympathy from the staff. I got "I need the money". I did call and let the actual vet know how I was treated, and she was indifferent, she didn't care. I have since told everyone I know who has pets to stay away from Adobe. I am now a faithful and loyal customer of Disney Pet Hospital, and send people I know there way now. They care about my animals, and they care about me, they actually call you at home to follow up on how your animals feel and are doing. Read Less
