I came here on numerous occasions for two of my cats. The staff are very nice and friendly. I met three of their veterinarians and each one were very easy to talk to and seem genuinely concerned about the well-being of my fur-baby. On my last visit, we euthanized my cat because she was very ill. They were so compassionate and we didn't feel rushed! They explained the procedure and what to expect. We were also given options for what to do with our cat afterwards and they were upfront with the costs. Afterwards, we were given time to be with our cat to say farewell. Dr. Bedros, Dr. Hou and Rich are awesome. Been taking my pup Desi to All Bay since he was 4 months old. Dr. Hou extended his quality of life and his life by removing a local Sarcoma on his leg. Desi (age 13.1) has since surprised us by celebrating 2 more b-days since his surgery. Yes, you may have to pay for tests and meds but these Doctors aren't guessing and they want to see your pup get well as soon as possible. Sometimes you do get what you pay for. Read Less

Never again. Apoquel for allergies was $99 here. Took my bubba to SunValley and the same dosage and drug was $65. Additionally, this place wanted to test and test and test with a final cost of almost $900 for my boxer. Just got done at SunValley for a limp becaus I could not get my boxer to duplicate his pain points. SunValley took one look at his paws and recommended a fungal shampoo in addition to the Apoquel. Apoquel, tests, and full panel of shots including rabies and distemper was nearly $900 at AllBay. Apoquel, exam, full panel of shots, and shampoo was about $300 at SunValley. I wish I could post images of the 2 different receipts so you all can see this review is no joke. Honesty goes a long way with me and after passing the info by a family friend who graduated from Davis as a veterinarian, I confirmed for myself that this place is extremely dishonest about “necessary” tests. I took my dog in because he had been coughing. After $400 worth of tests, they gave me cough medicine. This is not the first time they have found a way to charge me multiple hundreds of dollars. This hospital takes small rodents, which is very useful for me giving I have 4 rats. They let me reschedule and the first visit is free due to Yelp. Very thankful this vet exists, I haven't been able to find another that accepts small animals and has a first visit free. Read Less

This is a great animal hospital. I brought my dog, Batman, here. He's very skittish and will growl and even snap at people. They were great with him.It's been a few years since I've been here, but I remember the main lady at the front desk and she is awesome! My dog was treated at All Bay for congestive heart failure and was prescribed Vetmedin as medication. I was charged for 30 pills (2.5mg) and was only given 15 as All Bay was low on supply, I was then told that I would get a call when these pills came in but it shouldn't be more than 2-3 days.I called back a week later and the pills were still not in, but I was given 10mg pills and was told to split them (still not given the original pills I'd been charged for). I was, however, charged for this refill of 10mg pills. I was told that the remaining pills I'd paid for would be shipped to me once they came in.Two weeks later (three weeks after his treatment and after I'd paid for them) I've still not received them. I called again and was told they'd been shipped out but they didn't have a tracking number, but they could re-ship them. I called again and STILL didn't have a tracking number for them.In the meantime, my dog is currently out of medication and my only options are finding ANOTHER vet, paying for another exam, and buying more pills or waiting for All Bay to send me the pills I'd paid for nearly 1 month ago.Unbelievable and bordering on fraud and malpractice. Thank You for saving my cats life. This is my favorite vet and I've been coming here for 4 years. The front desk is always so nice to us and our cats. I called and told them "I think there's something wrong with my cat Simba. He's been meowing for hours and keeps going in and out of the litter box and has a lump on his belly".  They told me to hurry and get him down there immediately that he has a blocked urine tract and could die. When I got him down there they did surgery on him Immediately and saved Simba's life. Rich the veterinary technician helped us every step of the way. Any questions we had regarding Simba's follow up care were answered and we have 100% confidence in his expertise. Thanks Rich. Wow! I didn't know they did emergency there. I used to always get great service at All Bay, but the last time I spent over $100 that was just a waste. To their credit, they wanted to do more work, except they quoted me $800. I couldn't afford that much, so I went with an antibiotic shot. The infection got much worse, in the next 2 days, so I had to take him to another vet, who did a lot more work than what All Bay quoted me for (since it was now infected), plus another week of antibiotics for $100 less, then what All Bay originally quoted me BEFORE the wound was infected. So ABC Veterinary Hospital did more work, and the S100 I spent at All Bay was basically for nothing, and my poor cat almost died. It would have cost me $300 TOTAL, instead of the $700 + $100 I spent, if I had taken him to ABC Vet FIRST instead.Read Less

A little upset with all bay lately. When I first brought my husky Zeus in they were on top of all of his vaccinations and appointments. When I brought my second dog in Hera they didn't send her rabbies certificate to the county which they did for Zeus. When I asked about this issue the receptionist told me they are not responsible for sending the cert to the country but according to the county they are and if you read the bottom of their invoice it says they are required by law to send that information to the county. On top of receiving email reminders a month late about check ups and vaccinations, I brought my German shepherd in because she was 3 weeks passed being tied to my husky. My wife had called and let them know when they tied and asked when would be a good time to come in to try and find out if she is pregnant. The receptionist told her she could make a appointment this week and the vet would know what test to run to find out. After going in the vet told my wife she was still to early to tell if she was pregnant (wife says the vet was awesome took her time and very friendly) we were charged for a annual check up which my girl Hera needed but the main reason for going in was to find out if she was pregnant. It seems like the communication is lacking more often than not, we would have rather waited 10 minutes on the phone to confirm with the vet when would be a good time to come in and not waste time and money. Been doing business with All Bay for over 20 yrs. Always got excellent service for my cats. Prices may be a little bit higher than other vets, but you get what you pay for. Since I live in Clyde, it's convenient for me. All the vets are great. I really like Dr. Lentz. I haven't had to take my dog to the vet, ever, because she has always been in great health. She gets shots and stuff but never needed to be checked out. She's now 15 and for the past 3 nights had diarrhea. I was concerned, she's never been sick before. I called and made an appointment after researching a vet from Yelp reviews. They give a free evaluation for the first visit so I went with it. I arrived early to fill out paperwork and they took us on-time. They were great with my baby girl Nika who hates to be touched. They had to muzzle her (she gets bity when people touch her) but I was there and she did fine. In the end, they provided me with an estimate of different things including blood work and meds. They weren't pushy to make me pay a lot of money and when I went with just the meds instead of the full blood panel, they were fine with it. The cost wasn't exorbitant and I didn't feel like I got ripped off. They did a great job and I would definitely recommend them to anyone. Read Less

Christmas Eve 2014 All Bay diagnosed my dog as having a cancerous tumor that was pressing against her bladder making her incontinent. The vet could feel the mass upon physical examination and confirmed with an x-ray. Unfortunately I made the decision to put Shelby down that day to save her from any additional pain. Another Mobile vet was unable to correctly diagnose my dog 3 weeks earlier even though she did a physical examination. This last Spring (2015) we brought our 15 year old Boxer-Pitbull mix in thinking it was time for her to be put down. All Bay told us that she was doing extremely well for being such an advanced age and that she (the dog) would let us know when it was time to go. We had our Sasha for another 3 months. The staff and vets at All Bay Animal Hospital have always treated us and our babies with great care and respect. This is the only animal hospital I will ever take our other 3 dogs and 1 cat to.Read Less

They are always very kind. Their prices for small animal visits are the most reasonable in the Bay Area. I drive 30 minutes to visit them and it is definitely worth it. The entire staff remembers my little creature's name and they all love him. He may be an uncommon small animal, but I know he gets the best of care here. I just had to write to set things straight when I read those 2 negative reviews. I love this hospital and all that they do. I have been going there for years with all my pets and not once have I ever seen or recieved anything but exceptional care. All you have to do is go once to see that they truly do care. They always give an estimate and explain everything very thoroughly. If they find something unexpected while in their hospital, they call you and explain what they found and what it will cost to treat it. They let you make all the decisions and I have never felt pressured to do anything that I couldn't afford. Drs Lentz and Bedros have each been there for over 20 years and the rest of the staff have been there nearly as long. They are like a family and I love them dearly since they have helped to make my beloved pets lives long and enjoyable. I wish my own doctor would treat me and my family as well as they have. I hope this helps anyone reading this see around the bogus compaints the other people have given but I guarantee you that if you give them a try, you too will understand why I am so grateful for their always compassionate and professional services. And even when I told them that I was unemployeed they did extra dental work on my pet without asking me if I agree to pay, the worst part is that this was not the reason I took my pet to this horrible, unethical, money hungry hospital. When it was time to let our family dog go after 14 years, the staff and doctors at All Bay Animal Hospital where amazing. We had been holding off on this for far too long. The doctors where compasionate and thoughtful at our very emotional situation. The gentalmen that fill our room was wonderful. He was understanding, comforting, and concerned that our dog was comfortable all the way to the end. We never felt rushed or made to feel guilty at the choice we where making. The staff at All Bay are like family to us now. I'll have to admit I'm not one for hugging a stranger, but when Rich one of the staff members reached out as I was crying. I used to go to across the street but I had heard that All Bay was better so I gave them a try. Wow, what a difference! The Doctors and staff are the same people that were there 12 years ago when I used to go with my Mom when I was a teenager. They obviously love their job and it shows in how they talk to you and handle the pets. Dr Lentz is wonderful and explains everything in as much detail as you want. They have a really cool computer system that prints out a report card with all their recommendations, details of the exam, future reminders and even a picture of your pet. I know that they will tell me what I need to do to keep my animals healthy. They were not high pressure to sell me anything and they gave me a detailed estimate of everthing they suggested and let me think about it before making a decision. I ended up having them take a lump off my dogs nose that ended up being cancerous. I trust them and suggest you give them a try too. They saved my dogs life and I didn't even know he had a problem! I have used All Bay animal hospital to treat my dogs and cats for the most part since Nov 1984. I lived in Concord in the past, now I live in Oakley. I have continued to commute from Oakley to Concord with my pets for treatment because after trying two vets locally I wasn't as satisfied. Dr. Lentz has done surgery on Ash my 13 yr. old lab ?at cost? when I couldn?t afford to pay more. His thoughtfulness was appreciated. Dr. Bedros is the veterinarian that I have been using more recently, and he is professional, very knowledgeable, thorough, and compassionate. He presents the situation, gives me options, & lets me make the decision in a supportive manner. Thank you for many years of excellent service to me and my son for the care of our beloved past and present pets. In fact, we have also owned horses. I made the mistake of taking my turtle to All Bay. The clinic should have told me they do not treat reptiles, but they were more concerned with taking my money. They gave me wrong information, did not effectivly treat the injury, and when I confronted Dr. Lentz about this wrong information, he changed his story and refused to deal with the situation. They claimed that based on their assumtions about my financial concerns, they were trying to do me a favor.
