We have taken our pets to Dr. Bart for over ten years now. He is the number one Vet in Corona and he really enjoys caring for all kinds of pets including exotics. I love this office. I went for the first time as well as my dog’s first time at any vet’s office and I was very satisfied. All the techs were very nice. They treated my dog with such care and I felt like they cared as much as I do about my dog. I called yesterday afternoon to make an appointment for my dog to have her tooth looked at because we we're pretty sure it was cutting into her lip and making her bleed. She was in pain but unfortunately they didn't have anything for us that day so they said they were going to squeeze us in at 9. The lady on the phone told me not to feed her in the morning because they were pretty sure she was going to have to have to tooth removed and have oral surgery . My mom arrived just before 9 checked in and waited. An hour passed and she asked the lady at the desk how much longer it was going to be and she said she didn't know. She waited another hour and a half and asked again only to be met with a rude response that she was a fit in and they will get to her when they get to her. I understand a fit in takes longer to be seen but you knew she was in pain .You could tell looking at her. If they didn't think they could see her in a reasonable amount of time we would have taken her somewhere else. Two and a half hours for an in pain and now starving dog is rediculous. After several bad experiences elsewhere, I was hoping for gentle, loving care for my Schnauzer on her way to the Rainbow Bridge. It was handled well so I took my remaining furbaby in for a complete senior check. The staff are all great and obviously love animals. We have a pet rabbit that we adopted over a year ago and needed to have someone check an abscess on her leg. Not too many offices care for rabbits. I was referred by my local pet store and have had great experiences at this office. They are caring and compassionate and have great communication with us through staff and doctors. I found this place when my snake came down with a respiratory infection and needed veterinary attention. I took her in and was immediately pleased with the atmosphere inside. It was clean and quite interesting. There was a television turned on with an informational program on pet health. There were also terrariums set up on display with cool animals inside. I checked in at the front desk and was greeted by a friendly staff member. When I sat down I noticed something that touched my heart. There was a sign and a candle which was not lit. The sign described the nature of the candle and its purpose. When the candle is lit, it means somebody is saying good-bye to a pet and out of respect they ask that noise be kept to a minimum. That was classy. Moving on before I get choked-up. The vet who examined my snake was Dr. Bart Huber. He was kind, professional, and informational. He identified my pet's illness and provided a plan of treatment. After your pet has been seen, you are not made to wait again in the general waiting room. There is another, smaller waiting area where prescriptions are explained and payments are made. Before I was asked to wait in that area, two staff members showed me how to administer injections of antibiotics to my snake. They even let me shoot a quick video of them administering the first dose in case I forgot. I don't remember the names of the staff members who helped, but they were all friendly and genuinely concerned with the health of my pet. My snake was scheduled for a follow-up a week later but even before then, a staff member called me to see how she was doing. This was my first visit, I was looking for a vet having recently moved to Corona. I couldn't be happier with the care we received. We drove from LA to bring our dog here for bladder stone surgery, and could not be happier we did! We did a lot of research on vets to make sure our pup was in the best hands. Dr. Bart and his staff were SO helpful pre- and post surgery! We were able to make the appointment for the same week and got answers to all our questions and concerns from the amazing staff beforehand. They call to check in on the patient the day after each appointment, which is great. I cannot speak highly enough of this vet practice. We live in Alpine, over 2 hours away in traffic, and will always take our pet chickens to Dr. Bart if we are able. I'm really glad I found this place. I have a love for parakeets, and there are not very many avian vets in this area. At least not when it's an emergency on a weekend.I woke up Saturday morning to find my 12 year old parakeet with an egg bound to her insides. It was a horrific seen. In 12 years she has never tried to lay an egg until I brought in the young stud a few months back. I called around to see if I can find an avian vet and was unsuccessful many times. I was given the run around from Redlands all the way to Pasadena, until I came across Dr. Bart's phone number. One of the vet clinics I came across referred me, and I wish I could remember so I could thank them. Dr. Bart took care of me exceptionally well. Even though they were completely booked, they expressed concern for my birds safety, so they had me bring her in. The girl at the counter warned me that I might be waiting longer than normal, but I was okay with that. Before making us wait one of the assistants assessed the bird and they were okay with making us wait. We sat in the waiting room I believe close to :45 minutes to be seen.Once we were seen Dr. Bart came right in. He checked my bird out and helped her get her egg out. Unfortunately, being as old as she was it took a toll on her body. I won't get into the details, but he recommended we euthanize her. I wasn't going to be selfish, take her home, and watch her suffer for the next few days, so I signed the paper work to euthanize my bird. I took my lab retriever mix, Taz, to the vet he had for almost 15 years. I was never really happy with them because I felt that every year I took him for their 'wellness exams, they' were incomplete because Taz used to get so nervous and I had to muzzle him so he wouldn't bite the vet and the vet was not patient and understanding to the fact that he just felt uncomfortable and scared there. Long story short, I took him there again in April for his yearly and she could not figure out why he didn't eat much, why his back legs were buckling, why he lost 10 lbs in a year and why he had some type of blisters or pimples in his anal area. The only thing she did was give me a price estimate of all the exams, x-rays, bloodwork etc. she said she had to do and charged me for a full wellness exam when all she did was take his temperature and weigh him. I ended up searching online on how to cure his blisters myself, changed his food to so he would eat more, got him glucosamine vitamins for his hind legs. But I still felt that he needed a full wellness exam.It is thanks to Yelp that I found the best vet ever! Dr. Bart. I felt welcomed right away just from the outstanding phone etiquette when I spoke to Pricilla and Alix. I setup and appointment for Friday, June 9, 2017, and I warned them that Taz gets very nervous but I have a cage and fabric muzzle if needed. They told me not to worry, they have muzzles if needed. When Taz and I arrived at the appointment, I saw Taz was super calm and relaxed. Everyone was so attentive and caring and he felt the love of the staff. Dr. Bart did a full wellness exam (I finally saw what it really includes) and I only put the muzzle on him as a precaution when he did the prostate check and even then Taz was calm. Dr. Bart asked me why I got a cage muzzle for him because the fabric ones are better.  I told him the other vet said I needed that! Right off the bat, he said Taz had cataracts and a heart murmur. Regarding his weight loss and poor appetite, Dr. Bart said he would like to start with x-rays and go from there. He gave me an estimate on the spot and the prices were very reasonable.  Meanwhile, Taz is wagging his tail...never was he that calm at the vet! The Dr. came back with the x-rays and showed me Taz had a big tumor in his belly that was pushing against his organs and had pushed his intestines so much that they were smashed together to his rear. After he gave me the devastating news, he allowed me to calm down and then they brought Taz in. I thought that was so smart to give me the bad news, allow me get a hold of myself and then see my sweet dog.  Dr. Bart gave me the facts regarding Taz's age (He would have been 15 in September), his quality of life right now, and what his future days would be. He was kind enough to show me what a normal dogs intestines look like and he even told me a personal story about one of his dogs and how he decided what the next step would be. Dr. Bart made an excellent point stating that if your dog does not get happy or excited doing the things that he likes, then that is the right time to free him from his pain. We had to make a decision. Taz was getting worse every day, he could barely walk, would vomit what he ate at times, and barely had bowl movements. He no longer got excited seeing his leash for a walk, I  saw very little happiness in him. On Friday, June 16, 2017, we euthanized Taz. Five family members were with me in a room with a blanket on the floor where I could lay next to him, talk to him, and see his sad eyes looking at me. Dr. Bart and his team were so compassionate and explained the process and they told us that after Taz passes, we can stay in the room with him as long as we wanted. It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do and I have not stopped crying. Thank you so much Dr. Bart and his Amazing staff and team. I wish I would have found you sooner. If I ever get a dog again, I will drive from anywhere to get to you and make sure he is in the best hands ever! Read Less

I have a 2-year old Lab, been trying to solve his digestive problem with another vet for the last 9 months and getting nowhere, We tried all different kind of Prescription diet, he just wouldn't eat. This place is amazing. I have a 7 year old 2 lb Chihuahua that severely needed dental cleaning. Because of her size many vets in the past hesitated putting her under anesthesia because they said it was extremely risky and therefore never got spayed either. It got to the point to were brushing wasn't helping and I knew if I didn't do anything my pet could die from health complications so I took the risk and searched for a vet that has experience with tiny animals and would be confident with performing the dental. I found Dr Bart and he gave me total breakdown of how much it would cost and what was included. Once we walked in the staff was so friendly and we didn't have to wait long. He didn't rush our appointment and gave us examples of times he performed surgeries on animals as small as hamsters so I knew my baby was in good hands. We got home and took her meds and of course she was a little out of it all night but by the next morning she was her old self. The staff provided us with a cell phone number in case we had questions we could contact them at any time. A week later the staff checked us in as soon as we walked through the door and remembered us. That made us feel like individuals and not just a number like most places tend to do. We had a free check up and reviewed her lab work and x-rays. We then realized how bad the damage was and we're glad we made the right choice. We were even told to return free of charge in case anything comes up. Aside from a friendly staff and clean office our visit was quick but not rushed. We LOVE this place! We used Yelp to find a place to bring our new little pitty after adopting her and we chose AMCOC because they were super helpful before we even stepped foot in the door! Our dog Bagheera LOVES the staff and they loved on her right back, just as I saw them do with every animal that walked through the door! One of the sweetest things, and what really sold is on this place, was the candles they have, which the turn on to make people aware to keep their voice down when someone is saying goodbye to a pet. This is an awesome veterinary medical clinic!  I drove all the way from Rancho Cucamonga, to visit a veterinarian that could help me with my chicken, Puffin. She had a hurt foot....and the care they provided was excellent! My first visit Puffin saw Dr. Bart (who is an outstanding veterinarian)....and all subsequent visits she saw a couple different Vet Techs...that changed her bandages and gave her antibiotic shots.  All the techs that helped Puffin were excellent...but the tech with really long blonde hair (I forgot her name) was so sweet and caring. I waited for my second visit here before writing my review. I had the opportunity to visit with both Dr. Chu and Dr. Bart.My first visit was a general "get to know you" type of exam as we are new to the area and also for a quote on a non-Invasive dental cleaning. First, let me say how warm and welcoming the office is. I love how decorated the walls are and the front end staff is awesome! Everyone is friendly and accommodating. The vet tech's who also take you and your pet into the room for history/weight/etc are also top notch. They are approachable and relatable. My first impression of Dr. Chu was that she seemed unsure of herself. My 2 year old yorkie immediately changed in demeanor. She began to look as if she was actually going to snap at the doctor. I felt that she sensed the doctor's unease. The exam itself was uneventful, although I had to ask the doctor to repeat herself a few times because she was speaking so fast, I almost had the impression she did not have time for us. At the end, she remarked how clean my dog's teeth were and said she was a candidate for non invasive cleaning. I asked her if she felt it was needed at this point and the doctor responded, "if you feel it's necessary." Being that I came in for a doctor's opinion, I asked her again what was HER opinion and she deflected, again saying, "it's up to you."This didn't sit well with me. I am coming in and paying for your advice and opinion. I ended up leaving without scheduling the cleaning and felt that I should continue to look for another Dr.The next day I got a call from the girls in the front and explained that I would also like to see Dr. Bart and I was told that was no problem. Fast forward a week, and my dog had a flare up of a past injury and I called in to make an appt with Dr. Bart. Yes, there is a little bit of a wait to see him...with good reason. He speaks with authority, knowledge, and kindness that I have been looking for. He never once spoke down to me. He helped me a great deal and I will continue to see him and his amazing staff. I didn't realize I hadn't left a review for this office before... I'm surprised at myself!First of all, for anything other than a dog or cat, this is where you can take your babies. Scaly, spiny, feathered, and more. For dogs and cats, they can take care of you as well.Dr. Bart is the only vet I trust now for my reptiles and small animals. I've taken my bearded dragons and day geckos before and they've done great work for me. I've also taken my dogs here for check ups and my aging cats for diagnostics and been very pleased with how thorough they are. If my chinchillas ever need anything, this is where we'll go. I plan on continuing to use Dr. Bart for all my pets. Even though we've now moved and it's quite a drive from Fontana, it's worth it for the peace of mind knowing I trust my vet. :) Read Less

Recently my whites tree frog Ashton got very sick. Out of the blue she stopped eating. After she? Hadn't eaten for about 1.5 to 2 weeks she lost a significant amount of weight. I was searching for someplace within reasonable distance that treats exotics. I called them and explained the situation and that my work schedule was very hectic but that day was my day off work. They were nice enough to fit me into their schedule without having an appointment. I was suppose to be there at 12, but I live in far east Moreno Valley and it was pouring rain that day so I got there late. I knew I would have to wait but didn't care. They let me watch my soap opera while I waited. I actually got into a room quicker than I thought. Dr. Bart was great, he did 3 x-rays and prescribed 2 meds. Said after a couple days she should start feeling better and eating again. So I applied the meds as directed but a few days had past and she still wouldn't eat. I waited a bit longer and it got to the point where Ashton was slowly dying (or so I thought). She hadn't eaten for about 3.5 weeks, she was skin and bones, lethargic, skin didn't look good. I was seriously preparing myself to lose her, heart broken and crying everyday. I called them and got some advice and tips on force feeding her. I tried and tried that night but I couldn't get her mouth open. The next day I brought her there and they were willing to keep her there for 4 days until my next day off work. I brought some crested gecko diet and stuff for them to mix it up. While she was there they kept her warm in an incubator and force fed her several times a day. Dr. Bart even went in on their day off on Sunday to check on her. She gained 5g weight while there and had normal bowl movements. The day I picked her up she looked so much better. I took her home but she wouldn't eat for me. Time went on and she was losing too much weight again. Then finally one night she ate her cricket. I immediately put more in her tank and she ate them all along with a waxworm. She had her appetite back and I was feeding her small amounts of crickets everyday but then was worried because she was eating and not pooping. After about a week and a half she pooped. She's 100% better and I know if they hadn't taken her for those 4 days she'd be dead! I am soooooo grateful to them. They are all so wonderful, friendly and sympathetic. I have 2 reptiles and this is the best place to go to get your reptiles seen and taken care of. I came here 2 times...one for a check up of my leopard gecko and one for my blue tongue skink because I thought he had a respiratory infection. When I came in for my skink, they saw me immediately and after seeing the issue, just charged me for a wellness check instead of what they COULD have charged me with. I took my 2 guinea pigs to Animal Medical Center of Corona on Friday for a check up. My experience was amazing and they treated my piggies so well. They took care of them and Dr. Bart showed me so many interesting facts about my 2 piggies. He not only took the time to talk to me, but he showed so much compassion to the piggies. As a first time animal owner I wasn't too sure about what needed to be done and what the process was to get my kitty all his shots/neuter. Since the moment I stepped inside AMC everybody was so nice and welcoming, they explained everything to me in detail and made me feel secure leaving my kitty with them, I've had a few shot appointments and a neuter already and they did such an amazing job! My kitty was already back to his old self right after the surgery and you can tell all the workers here care about animals and their jobs. NOT JUST FOR LITTLE BIRDS! THE BEST!!! Dr B. and Staff! FINALLY, a REAL Avian vet!!!!! I drive 35 mi from Highland which makes it hard if your really having a "bird emergency". I've been to most within a 45mi radius, finding a true avian vet is near impossible, finding these guys, a miracle and a blessing. Only thing better would be having him as my neighbor or, his home phone #. My semi regular "ER" is a Mollucan Cockatoo(m,13), Also have: Patagonian Conure (f,18)(both rescues) Y Nape Amazon (f,23) B&G Macaw (m,39). If you have big birds you know most offices out there - may say "exotics" or "avian" - truth is occasional budgie or keet, well meaning, but haven't seen a large bird since (?) & no time to keep up on the latest info re meds treatments etc., Fortunately knowledge & awareness of the care of these special life forms is growing almost as fast as computer hardware tech. My friends see the bill & think I'm crazy, but if you have ever taken your friend for medical care, ER or a reg checkup, you know what it can cost, and level of care is not always equal to the fee. I'm telling you - these guys -very fair! I had braced myself for possibilities far higher. Dr.Bart is amazing & the handlers know their stuff. [ birds at home too] - another Huge surprise - but for lack of a better word, office staff, equally amazing. When your call is answered, their knowledge of your current patient trauma, treatment, etc, is up to speed; rarely putting you on hold, & getting you fast answers from the right source when they need to. IF YOU DON'T HAVE A DR FOR YOUR BIRDS, GO MEET THESE PEOPLE ! [Surgeries are mid day so id suggest call, ask questions - let them know your situation - with birds, its better if the Dr meets them healthy vs an emergency ] OTHER EXOTICS? My personal experience, parrots, but "office pets", in waiting area: geckos, bearded dragons, pancake tortoise and more; floor staff include a very friendly (don't pick him up)blind cat. Lots of dog/cat (cancer patients) people who were very aware & alert to where & what their pet was, in relation to the other patients (& my bird) in the waiting area. SO GRATEFUL I FOUND THEM !!! Very impressed! Dr. Bart saw our Goffins Cockatoo "Miss Murphy" who had been mutilating herself. We've seen several vets w/o much success. Dr. Bart was straight forward with a plan of action and didn't make us repeat any treatments that had already failed. A vitamin injection, a hormone injection and some oral meds and we were on our way. The office staff called the next day to check on our little girl and everyone has just been so nice and attentive! No waiting, called in 1045 and got a 1115 appt. my dog had been scratching nonstop.. I got a script for Bravectra and a shot for her itching .. Also an antibiotic so she wouldn't get infection where she scratched herself raw... She immediately was scratching less and today no scratching at all! They called to check on her this am and want to see her in 2 weeks for a follow up at no charge. Love their service and staff! Read Less

Brought my sick bearded dragon in to Dr. Bart, as my main reptile vet, Dr. Greek, was out of town this week. Unfortunately, my little boy had cancer and died during an x-ray. Dr. Bart and his staff were so kind, attentive, and professional through the whole process. He even took $100 off my bill after my beardie passed on. I highly recommend this vet to anyone. Very expensive. They Nickel and dime you. Two pills for 20. Heck I should of just asked for a prescription and taken it to Walmart. Bird was given an e collar that was not big enough that he was able to reach very easily and tear up. This happened in front of them and I was still charged it. I adopted a 4 months Papillon from Riverside pound. It had kennel cough, worms, etc. Kristina Luchau had referred me to Dr. Bart and I thank God she did. My first visit the staff was so kind. They got me in the same day I got my dog. They didn't charge me but for medicine since I adopted it. I was jazzed as the next day she had worms and we went back again. Awesome Dr. Bart gave her a shot again only charging me 18 for medicine. After a month she was spayed by them, I refused to have the pound do it. I felt so relieved knowing my dogs life was in good hands. His compassion for ALL animals is incredible. When I have been there Parrots, roosters, lizards were all coming to visit him. Dr. Bart has been my friend and vet for over 25 years. Although I live some distance from Corona, I feels it's well worth the time and travel to have my pets treated by Dr. Bart and his staff. He is extremely knowledgeable and provides THE BEST veterinary care for a wide variety of animals. I will never use another vet! The love and compassion that comes from this ENTIRE staff is amazing. They always make everything as clear as daylight, and explain everything as many times as needed so that you are comfortable with the decision you are making.
