Attention any pet owners especially if you own a bunny. Hopefully this review will help someone out there before seeking this vet as care for their bunny. My beloved bunny Freddy passed away last night because of the lack of care and negligence of this veterinarian office and staff. You can check his Instagram “bunnyrockstarfreddy” to see pictures of him. Let me explain how it all started. We took our bunny in for a molar trim on 03/10 and he was taken to the back for examination while we waited in lobby area. Once examination was complete, we received a call from Dr. Janet Behm who said bunny is healthy and yes needs molar trim. We agreed to the molar trim and left my poor baby there to later pick up when it was done. We received a call later that day saying everything was complete, and we can pick him up. Here is where everything goes downhill. We picked him up brought him home and immediately once I opened his cage, he came out only using his front legs with no movement from his back legs. I called the vet immediately and they said to bring him back in. We took him back same day and again handed him over to be taken in the back to be examined. We got a call from Dr. Behm saying she has no idea why the bunny is like this and suggested to do x-rays. I explained we don’t have money for X-rays, that we just used our $400 rent money for his molars. I was so shocked at the time and confused and didn’t think of making them pay for the x-rays since this happened while under their care. We took him home and I contacted Caroline @ the Bunny Bunch who advised they should be covering his X-rays. I called this vet back on 03/11 trying to get hold of the owner Dr. Rand Sponberg but he was out of the office and supposedly no way to get a hold of him. Regardless, the office supervisor agreed to cover his X-rays. Here we go back to the office and hand my baby to be taken in the back for his X-rays, as we wait in lobby for Dr. Behm to call us , she called and said nothing is broken or fractured. We were so happy to hear this and figured he would probably just get better. As soon as we got back home, I messaged Caroline @ the Bunny Bunch image of his X-rays to tell her good news nothing is broken or fractured. She said she would have her highly well-known doctor friend look at X-rays just to be sure. I got a call later from her at night just to be told I need to contact them back because his L6 is crushed. She was stunned that the Dr. Behm was unable to see this from the X-rays. I will attach his X-rays on this review along with before and after photos of him. After all this we left message for the owner on 03/12 of this vet to call us back so we can get him the help needed. The owner called me back on Monday acting like he was willing to help our bunny but would need to check with Dr. Behm regarding the X-rays and see what can be done. He said he would call us back on Thursday. Well, today is 03/16 and our little guy is no longer around. If this office really cared for animals it should have accepted responsibility and helped us with treatment. The office has still not accepted any responsibility on what happened to him. I honestly feel as if the owner intentionally wanted to delay this hoping my bunny would die so they can just avoid helping with any treatment. My gut feeling says he was dropped and not handled properly during anesthesia . I suggest anyone with similar experiences to report it to the California Veterinary Medical Board. I should have realized something was not right about this place to begin with as you get no human contact with the actual doctor because everything is done in their back office and you just talk with the doctor over the phone. Also, they make you pre-pay everything before they even see or treat your pet. I wish I would have taken the time to read some of these negative reviews of the vet before taking him there. I want to make sure what happened to him doesn’t happen to any other bunnies. He is deeply missed!!!

Excellent knowledgeable and friendly staff. Dr Spongberg and other doctors are dedicated to effectively treating my dog who is prone to doing dumb dog things like sneaking and eating an entire chocolate cake. He will do what it takes to find a way to alleviate said dogs fears and quirks. I trust and appreciate every single person at All Creatures and they obviously care deeply about their patients and the patients family.

Although my first experience was not the best I gave the place another shot and honestly the 5 stars are well deserved. They have good prices and anytime I call I am able to get an appointment that same day I have taken 4 of my guinea pigs there and would recommend it. This is our 3rd time going there and they are informed about what to look for when it comes to UTI in guinea pigs !

Brought in one of our chinchillas that had stopped eating. The doctor was respectful and honest, said that he felt fluid which probably meant organ failure due to cancer or another ailment which probably would not have successful treatment rate on a creature so small and delicate.
Didn't try to sell us any expensive treatments, tests or procedures or raise any false hope. He politely made it clear that the humane thing to do would be euthanasia. The tech who came in afterwards was also very respectful and presented some options for cremation which we declined, and then the office assistant came in to tell us we could have the room for grieving as long as we needed.
$40 for the exam and $70 for the euthanasia. All reasonably priced care by wonderfully empathetic staff.
My only complaint was that we had to wait 30 minutes past our appointment time to be called in, but for such quality treatment at the hands of such good people, the wait is absolutely worth it.
I wish I could leave this review under more pleasant circumstances, but the fact is that every doctor's visit is not pleasant, and these wonderful people handled a devastating visit as well as humanly possible. Thank you.

All Creatures has been amazing! They cared for my 2 flemish giant rabbits in their older years, and now they take great care of my older Great Pyrenees Andy! The staff there is always so helpful and friendly, and even when they are busy, they strive to provide excellent care. All of the vets we have worked with have been amazing- Dr. De La Torres, Dr Chapman (retired), Dr Spongberg, and Dr Behm! They genuinely care about their patients and I trust their recommendations. Their pricing is also very competitive, and not ridiculously expensive like some exotic vets for rabbits or guinea pigs. They also provide non-anesthetized dental services, which is great for older pups. I have been going here since 2013 and will continue to be a customer. Thank you, All Creatures!

I take my two bearded dragons to All Creatures to have their nails clipped about every 3 months. The staff is so nice and I know the girls are being treated well. The techs never want to give them back to me because the dragons are so sweet. I haven't had any reason yet to have them see a vet, but I assure you this is where they will be taken when need be. It's very difficult to find exotic pet vets in OC. I definitely recommend them.

I'm giving lower stars because for nearly 4 hours of their business day, the vet is "out to lunch." Why have daytime business hours if for 4 hours of the day they can not provide their primary service to their customers. This is a inconvenience as one can never predict when their pet will need medical attention and emergency hospitals are far to expensive for something that is not life threatening to the animal. Best practice and customer service would be having another doctor available during those hours.

Knowledgeable exotic vets are few and far between. All Creatures vet and tech staff have always gone out of their way to find the best solution and to make sure that you are both knowledgable and comfortable with the risks. and just now an employee named Danielle wouldn't sell us a refill of the needles our cat needs for administering his insulin
I still have a half bottle of the very expensive insulin they sold me but had run out of needles
Apparently as illogical as this is she said there was a note from the doctor on the computer saying I couldn't buy anymore without visiting the doctor - presumably to get more money out of us- all she would say was she didn't want to stick her neck out and get in trouble

We drove a long distance relying on what has always been easy
I have been going here and getting these needles for over a year and a half now with no trouble
I could see demanding to see the cat before giving us a new bottle of insulin
But for the needles ?!
This is just needless and officious red
tape with no attempt to accomadate a long time customer other than a very insincere I'm sorry
I will find a more reasonable down to earth pet care in the future

About 4 months ago my daughter noticed a bump on her guinea pigs lower back which grew into an abscess. We were referred to All Creatures and Lexi had surgery to have it removed. Very strange but she is much better. I thought it was going to be very expensive but it was not at all. They did not charge for follow up visits either. Dr. Chapman was GREAT and the staff has always been very friendly. I will definitely refer! And ACCC..Thank You for saving our little girl!

I knew Dr. Pasco when he was at Sun Surf in Sunset Beach, well before he started All Creatures Care Cottage, and would follow him anywhere he practiced. Getting to know Dr. Chapman has been a rewarding experience and I could not have asked for anyone better to take over the practice. I trust him with all my feathered, finned and furry four legged companions. He is always informative and willing to take the time to answer questions. This has been very beneficial to me as my companions go through the various stages of life. The staff is very knowledgeable and caring and treat my pets and myself like family.

I have been coming here for 6 years, they treat my Netherland Dwarf Rabbit, Rag Doll & Scottish Fold Cats. When I brought my dwarf rabbit in he had a stomach blockage and had gone into GI stasis, anyone with rabbits knows that most pets will die from this. ACCC worked with me for over a month and we were able to save him from something most rabbits die from. They also treat my cats, they never charge me for anything I do not need, are immensely knowledgeable where other vets lack and the staff is the best in the world, each and every member there is wonderful and have been there for years, which tells you this is a good place.
For those who had negative reviews, Im sorry they are incapable of applying logic to their complaints, this is what worries me about people (anyone) being able to leave reviews, it should come with their IQ listed next to their name so you know whom to dismiss. Mr. Wong, they directed you to an emergency facility which is where you should have contacted if your dog was in need of immediate attention, you dont call your physician with allergic reaction, you go to the ER; same goes for pets genius. As for the other guy if you called at 5:30 and they close at 6 my guess is they weren't going to fit you in because by the time you got there (even two blocks away) it would have been time for them to close, and past closing time once you were done being seen, how about being respectful with peoples time and business hours and call ahead of time.. or just go to that other vet place as I am sure that is both good for them not dealing with some demanding a-hole like yourself. They cant defend themselves but I can say what I please as a customer, so from me to you shove it up your you know what.

Excellent knowledgeable and friendly staff. Dr Spongberg and other doctors are dedicated to effectively treating my dog who is prone to doing dumb dog things like sneaking and eating an entire chocolate cake. He will do what it takes to find a way to alleviate said dogs fears and quirks. I trust and appreciate every single person at All Creatures and they obviously care deeply about their patients and the patients family.

Although my first experience was not the best I gave the place another shot and honestly the 5 stars are well deserved. They have good prices and anytime I call I am able to get an appointment that same day I have taken 4 of my guinea pigs there and would recommend it. This is our 3rd time going there and they are informed about what to look for when it comes to UTI in guinea pigs !

Brought in one of our chinchillas that had stopped eating. The doctor was respectful and honest, said that he felt fluid which probably meant organ failure due to cancer or another ailment which probably would not have successful treatment rate on a creature so small and delicate.
Didn't try to sell us any expensive treatments, tests or procedures or raise any false hope. He politely made it clear that the humane thing to do would be euthanasia. The tech who came in afterwards was also very respectful and presented some options for cremation which we declined, and then the office assistant came in to tell us we could have the room for grieving as long as we needed.
$40 for the exam and $70 for the euthanasia. All reasonably priced care by wonderfully empathetic staff.
My only complaint was that we had to wait 30 minutes past our appointment time to be called in, but for such quality treatment at the hands of such good people, the wait is absolutely worth it.
I wish I could leave this review under more pleasant circumstances, but the fact is that every doctor's visit is not pleasant, and these wonderful people handled a devastating visit as well as humanly possible. Thank you.

All Creatures has been amazing! They cared for my 2 flemish giant rabbits in their older years, and now they take great care of my older Great Pyrenees Andy! The staff there is always so helpful and friendly, and even when they are busy, they strive to provide excellent care. All of the vets we have worked with have been amazing- Dr. De La Torres, Dr Chapman (retired), Dr Spongberg, and Dr Behm! They genuinely care about their patients and I trust their recommendations. Their pricing is also very competitive, and not ridiculously expensive like some exotic vets for rabbits or guinea pigs. They also provide non-anesthetized dental services, which is great for older pups. I have been going here since 2013 and will continue to be a customer. Thank you, All Creatures!

I take my two bearded dragons to All Creatures to have their nails clipped about every 3 months. The staff is so nice and I know the girls are being treated well. The techs never want to give them back to me because the dragons are so sweet. I haven't had any reason yet to have them see a vet, but I assure you this is where they will be taken when need be. It's very difficult to find exotic pet vets in OC. I definitely recommend them.

I'm giving lower stars because for nearly 4 hours of their business day, the vet is "out to lunch." Why have daytime business hours if for 4 hours of the day they can not provide their primary service to their customers. This is a inconvenience as one can never predict when their pet will need medical attention and emergency hospitals are far to expensive for something that is not life threatening to the animal. Best practice and customer service would be having another doctor available during those hours.

All Creatures vet and tech staff have always gone out of their way to find the best solution and to make sure that you are both knowledgable and comfortable with the risks. and just now an employee named Danielle wouldn't sell us a refill of the needles our cat needs for administering his insulin
I still have a half bottle of the very expensive insulin they sold me but had run out of needles
Apparently as illogical as this is she said there was a note from the doctor on the computer saying I couldn't buy anymore without visiting the doctor - presumably to get more money out of us- all she would say was she didn't want to stick her neck out and get in trouble

We drove a long distance relying on what has always been easy
I have been going here and getting these needles for over a year and a half now with no trouble
I could see demanding to see the cat before giving us a new bottle of insulin
But for the needles ?!
This is just needless and officious red
tape with no attempt to accomadate a long time customer other than a very insincere I'm sorry
I will find a more reasonable down to earth pet care in the future

About 4 months ago my daughter noticed a bump on her guinea pigs lower back which grew into an abscess. We were referred to All Creatures and Lexi had surgery to have it removed. Very strange but she is much better. I thought it was going to be very expensive but it was not at all. They did not charge for follow up visits either. Dr. Chapman was GREAT and the staff has always been very friendly. I will definitely refer! And ACCC..Thank You for saving our little girl!

I knew Dr. Pasco when he was at Sun Surf in Sunset Beach, well before he started All Creatures Care Cottage, and would follow him anywhere he practiced. Getting to know Dr. Chapman has been a rewarding experience and I could not have asked for anyone better to take over the practice. I trust him with all my feathered, finned and furry four legged companions. He is always informative and willing to take the time to answer questions. This has been very beneficial to me as my companions go through the various stages of life. The staff is very knowledgeable and caring and treat my pets and myself like family.

I have been coming here for 6 years, they treat my Netherland Dwarf Rabbit, Rag Doll & Scottish Fold Cats. When I brought my dwarf rabbit in he had a stomach blockage and had gone into GI stasis, anyone with rabbits knows that most pets will die from this. ACCC worked with me for over a month and we were able to save him from something most rabbits die from. They also treat my cats, they never charge me for anything I do not need, are immensely knowledgeable where other vets lack and the staff is the best in the world, each and every member there is wonderful and have been there for years, which tells you this is a good place.
For those who had negative reviews, Im sorry they are incapable of applying logic to their complaints, this is what worries me about people (anyone) being able to leave reviews, it should come with their IQ listed next to their name so you know whom to dismiss. Mr. Wong, they directed you to an emergency facility which is where you should have contacted if your dog was in need of immediate attention, you dont call your physician with allergic reaction, you go to the ER; same goes for pets genius. As for the other guy if you called at 5:30 and they close at 6 my guess is they weren't going to fit you in because by the time you got there (even two blocks away) it would have been time for them to close, and past closing time once you were done being seen, how about being respectful with peoples time and business hours and call ahead of time.. or just go to that other vet place as I am sure that is both good for them not dealing with some demanding a-hole like yourself. They cant defend themselves but I can say what I please as a customer, so from me to you shove it up your you know what.
