I have nothing but good words with which to describe this place. You will love everyone who works here. Dr. Greenspan and Dr. Bates are incredible at what they do and have a comprehensive knowledge about animals. I have primarily seen Dr. Greenspan, who is such a joy to talk to and is always thorough, even when leaving messages over the phone. I appreciate the consistent quality of care my animals receive and feel very fortunate to have a place like this to take them to. I found out about De Anza Veterinary Clinic when I needed a vet that could see my small and exotic animals, but I would not hesitate to take dogs and cats here either. Trust me when I say: you *want* to bring your animals here! They are thoughtful, helpful & want to do what's best for your animal. They clearly have lots of small animal experience & know exactly what they're doing. They were excellent with our elderly, tumor-riddled, old rat (and weren't even nervous that she could & would probably bite them at any moment). I especially loved that part. Have been coming here since we got Sammy. My husband used to bring his iguana Dyckweed before he passed. Very friendly staff & vets. It's a little bit of a drive but worth it. Staff are always very helpful. Sammy's not the best "patient" but they treat him well. Read Less

I love this vet clinic! Dr. Bates & Dr. Greenspan both are very sweet, kind doctors. The staff (Nick, Terri, etc) are friendly and pleasant. My dog Pepper may not enjoy getting poked & prodded, but he still trusts the staff here (which is a big deal as he gets quite anxious). I even had an urgent situation once while caring for my mom's dog while she was out of town for almost 2 weeks and I called De Anza Vet Clinic and they made sure I could come in ASAP to get care, when I could have ended up at ER Vet (who are also great, but cost more as their specialty is emergencies). We even went hiking once and saw Dr. Greenspan who recognized us from afar and waved to us! They take a personal approach to their business which is greatly appreciated. Fabulous staff. Two doctors are both excellent. Very caring people; experienced and knowledgeable. Clean office, patient rooms, and back area. They see exotic pets, as well as cats and dogs. They take time with your pet (and you), and make sure you understand everything whether it's vaccines or surgical procedures. I have had several pet mice and rats seen by both doctors, as well as my 3 cats. I just cannot say enough good things about Dr Bates, Dr Greenspan, and all the staff at DeAnza! Read Less

During the time I lived in Campbell, my kitty TC had a crisis caused by a veterinarian in another city. A dear friend recommended her vet, Dr. Bates and DeAnza Veterinary Clinic, for follow-up. Dr. Bates and his staff gave TC excellent care, which I am convinced helped to save and lengthen his life. (TC passed in April, at nearly 19.) I've been taking my mini rex rabbit to this clinic for the past year and a half and I have to say, I've had nothing but delightful experiences with them! I didn't have to be on some fancy monthly contract to be seen and they handle my bunny so well. In fact he won't let anyone else clip his nails.
