My experience with DVH is limited, as I've only been there 2x. However, I did want to "call out" the great experience I had with Dr. Wong, specifically. She is so caring, gentle, thorough, and explains EVERYTHING in terms I can understand. In short, she's awesome! My dog is a rescue GSD and is quite timid and nervous in the exam room. The very first time she met my dog, she entered the room so quietly and approached my girl so slowly and gently, it put my pup immediately at ease. She GETS dogs and the differing temperaments! In fact, I also saw her at Valley Veterinary Hospital and she came OUTSIDE to the little grassy area in the parking lot to do the exam because my dog gets so anxious in the little exam room. How cool is that? No other vet has EVER done anything like that. She saved my dog (and me too) sooooo much stress. She spent well over 30 minutes with us explaining ALL our options for care to address my dogs OA, and itchiness. I left with several treatments both internal meds and topical treatments, so I can proactively treat my girl's symptoms. I know the root cause won't change, so it's all about managing pain and ensuring the dog's comfort. Here's another example: Dr. Wong also mentioned that she performs acupuncture, which I had been seriously considering for additional pain relief for my GSD. However, I thought that my dog's shyness would be a deterrent to this treatment. How would she ever settle down enough for the needle insertion? But Dr. Wong said that since the backseat of my car is the dog's "happy place," Dr. Wong could administer the treatment there. Wow!! What vet is willing to go the extra mile for the comfort of the animal and not the convenience of the vet? Few if any and none that I've encountered thus far, until meeting Dr. Wong. Read Less
