Honestly, if I ever move out of Davis, I will miss Midtown the most. I have had 4 pets go through them including a hamster (only vet in Davis that would see him), one slightly special cat, and a dog-aggressive dog who needs extra precautions during visits. They handle my animals so well. Every vet I've had an experience with there is kind and talks is through everything, step by step. Best of all, they're not very expensive and will tell you if you can get something for cheaper elsewhere. I came here because I noticed my dog had tapeworm in his waste, so naturally I was alarmed. I called right at opening and was able to get a same-day appointment for 1.5 hours after I called. I had to come in early to fill out new client paperwork, and when my dog pooped in the lobby, the front desk staffed cleaned it without any frustration/attitude. One staff in particular was not as warm/friendly as the others, but she was not rude.Dr. Hartinger was absolutely amazing! She was so sweet and kind and helped calm my dog down alot. She was easy to talk to, and listened to my concerns and questions with patience. I could tell she really cared about my dog. I can affirm that she is one of the kindest vets I think my dog has ever had.Affordability wise, it is about as much as any other vet. However, I find it to be slightly less expensive than nearby vets. A checkup is $48 and required for a prescription - esp if you're a new client. However the small dog deworming pill only cost $15. The fecal test actually cost more than the checkup at around $60. But, vet bills are rarely inexpensive. Overall 9/10 would recommend! :) Read Less
