My little dog broke her leg and I was so worried. A friend referred me to Dr. Fournier. She and Dr. Frankel were wonderful. They walked me through the whole surgery and aftercare process. The staff was super helpful with my many questions. I could not be more relieved for them to take care of my doggo. Now we are on the road to recovery!

Extremely upset and disappointed with this office. I took my conure there for a beak trim. Two veterinary assistants were supposed to take care of us.
Issue 1: We visited the office to get a lower beak trim. Sadly enough the assistants cut the perfectly fine upper beak. As a trained avian professional it should’ve been very clear to the assistants which part of the beak was the issue. In hindsight this also made me realize that the assistants never asked what exactly the issue was with the beak (to me it was obvious). Not consulting/clarifying with your patient what the reason is for a visit is a HUGE issue.
Issue 2: Animal handling – the assistant had issues getting the bird in the towel. At one point it looked like he was about to break the bird’s wing. The bird escaped several times during the visit, frantically flying through the office. Eventually the bird got so stressed that we had to leave (without ever getting the lower beak fixed).
Issue 3: One of the vet assistants seemed to be having a bad cold (runny nose and sweat on his forehead by the time we left). Highly unprofessional, unsafe and obviously not something any animal, visitor or coworker should be exposed to.
While the avian vet that we met during a previous visit was very good and knowledgeable, these two assistant were not properly trained and put the health of the bird at risk. I will not go back there.

We regret we brought our dog to this vet. What upsets us the most is that we paid $200.00 more than they disclosed the bill would be(from $290.00 to $470.00). We had read wonderful reviews and everything that you read in those reviews is true. They worked us into their schedule immediately, were very kind and friendly and took time to explain information. If the surprise extra $200.00 would not have happened, this would have been a five star review. It may have been just an off visit for us, with it taking 2 hours and being surprised with an extra $200.00 at the end. We expressed our dismay at the check-out, when we were first shocked by the price. We also called 30 minutes later, when we had processed what had happened even more. The doctor that saw our dog, Layne, called us back to express her apologies. Even if the intent was not to take advantage or to up sell, we can not shake the feeling that we were mislead.

If you are looking for a great veterinarian hospital for your companion animals look no further. The staff is always nice and helpful. Dr. Mira (the owner) and Dr. Ditsche are extremely knowledgable, provide outstanding veterinary care and always take the time to explain the situation and options for our animals. You will always feel in good hands and that is a priority. Oh! they also offer boarding in a safe environment with a nice playground. Super convenient and practical to have a vet always there for your animals during their stay.

Kind wonderful doctors that are knowledgeable, responsive and compassionate. Administrative staff is friendly and helpful. Dr. Ditsche has cared for our current dogs for almost seven years and our dogs in total for almost ten years. I trust these people with my most cherished Shelties. I recommend them without qualification. They also have boarding facilities that I look forward to using when we take short trips.

We transferred to Animal & Bird Hospital because our vet, who we know and trust, transferred there. We are very happy with the facility and the entire staff is friendly and helpful. We are almost always seen on time and getting an appointment on the day/time we want has not been difficult. The prices are comparable and sometimes better than our previous veterinary office. We are very happy to have joined the Animal & Bird family in 2014.

We have met two of the Doctors here, Layne and Sheila. Both are the warmest, most approachable veterinarians we have ever met. They really care about our pup Jack, and give us great post visit care instructions. The staff up front is really nice too - it's not like a clinic, it's like a friendly place you take your pet, to make them feel better. Jack seems to like it too - he's not as nervous going here as he was at our previous pet hospital. There IS a better atmosphere here!

My two dogs love day care and boarding at the Animal and Bird Hospital. They come home happy and tired -- perfect for me after a long day of work!
More important though is the great medical care that I've gotten from Dr Mira -- he's been our vet for more than 6 years and we followed him to his new location/business. The other doctors know their stuff too - they've got the latest treatments and drugs that you may want for your pets.
I feel like, over the years, I've gotten very honest assessments from the staff, as in when to invest more in finding solutions, and sadly in the past 2 years, when it was time to say goodbye to my previous 2 dogs.
I do hear a lot from people that this vet is more expensive than others and I agree with that for medical care. My dogs deserve the best, and I and other regular customers can make that investment in our pets. If you need/want less expensive, Petco offers a clinic so you too can keep your pets healthy with shots and other basics.

We are so happy to bring our dog here! The vets and technicians are so knowledgable and happy to give you as much information as you want without ever coming across as condescending--they really care and want to make sure that you understand any decisions that are being made. Our dog also has such a great time when she comes for day care or boarding, and we know that she is safe and well taken care of. The staff is so great and always remember our dog whenever I call in. I've recommended them to friends who have been blown away as well--so happy to have found such an amazing vet!

My little dog broke her leg and I was so worried. A friend referred me to Dr. Fournier. She and Dr. Frankel were wonderful. They walked me through the whole surgery and aftercare process. The staff was super helpful with my many questions. I could not be more relieved for them to take care of my doggo. Now we are on the road to recovery!

Extremely upset and disappointed with this office. I took my conure there for a beak trim. Two veterinary assistants were supposed to take care of us.
Issue 1: We visited the office to get a lower beak trim. Sadly enough the assistants cut the perfectly fine upper beak. As a trained avian professional it should’ve been very clear to the assistants which part of the beak was the issue. In hindsight this also made me realize that the assistants never asked what exactly the issue was with the beak (to me it was obvious). We transferred to Animal & Bird Hospital because our vet, who we know and trust, transferred there. We are very happy with the facility and the entire staff is friendly and helpful. We are almost always seen on time and getting an appointment on the day/time we want has not been difficult. The prices are comparable and sometimes better than our previous veterinary office. We are very happy to have joined the Animal & Bird family in 2014.

The staff up front is really nice too - it's not like a clinic, it's like a friendly place you take your pet, to make them feel better. Jack seems to like it too - he's not as nervous going here as he was at our previous pet hospital. There IS a better atmosphere here!

My two dogs love day care and boarding at the Animal and Bird Hospital. They come home happy and tired -- perfect for me after a long day of work!

We are so happy to bring our dog here! The vets and technicians are so knowledgable and happy to give you as much information as you want without ever coming across as condescending--they really care and want to make sure that you understand any decisions that are being made. Our dog also has such a great time when she comes for day care or boarding, and we know that she is safe and well taken care of. The staff is so great and always remember our dog whenever I call in. I've recommended them to friends who have been blown away as well--so happy to have found such an amazing vet!
