I have been using Dr Timm for over 30yrs there isn't a better vet in the world . and he may be older but experience and expertise is what makes him the great doctor that he is.....

I wouldn't recommend this place. The vet is an older guy (nothing wrong with that) but he was extremely rude and unfriendly when I brought my cat in for the first time a few weeks ago. She was very sick and had a badly infected abcess on her neck. He verbally quoted me "a couple hundred dollars" to take care of it. When I asked for a detailed bill before agreeing to the services, he snapped "what? Aren't you going to pay me?!". I asked the girl up front for a full list of services and cost at which point she gave me a bill for $480! That's not "a couple hundred bucks" in my book. My cat was very very sick so I paid it anyways. They lanced the abcess and gave me some antibiotics to give her. I had to ask explicitly what dosage, how often, etc. Every other very I've been to with other animals has always given all that information up front and asked if I had any further questions. Not this place. It felt like they just wanted to take my money and push me out of the door as quickly as possible. I would never go here again. If you love your pet, find a different vet.

Great vet, great staff, great service all around. They took care of my dog, a rescue, I had to get his leg amputated :(
he is making a speedy recovery thanks to the Dixon Vet

Dr Timm is awesome! reasonable fees and very helpful/caring competent if somewhat "firm" at times staff... haha!

This is a country vet. He doesn't have big city charm or prices. He fixes cats and dogs and has enough experience to know the difference. He has seen it all.

We have had truly excellent experience with the care of our pets at the Dixon Veterinary Clinic. We've taken both our cat and dog to them for care, and have been very pleased and reassured by the quality of care we've received. I wouldn't take my pet 'kids' anywhere else.

I had the lucky opportunity to both intern with and take my animals to Dr. Peter Timm. He is an amazing man and an amazing veterinarian! I am now in college and am sorely sorry that I can't put him in...
I had the lucky opportunity to both intern with and take my animals to Dr. Peter Timm. He is an amazing man and an amazing veterinarian! I am now in college and am sorely sorry that I can't put him in my back pocket and keep him there til I get more animals when I graduate. He's fairly priced and also CARES about your animal (whether it's your animal's first visit or last).
