I just got a boxer puppy two days ago. The first night I brought her home she threw up after eating and continued vomiting all throughout the night. The place I normally take my other dog to didn't have anything available until next week. I called around to find a place that could see her that day. This location was referred by another Vet that currently isn't taking new patients. I called them and explained what was going on. They were willing to get me in that AM but I had another commitment. They were able to see her in the early afternoon. They told me that they would have a room waiting for us as she's sick and wanted her contained. As soon as I walked in the door, a person walked towards me as I walked in and guided me to an exam room. They brought my paperwork in the exam room so I could complete it in there and keep my sick dog away from other animals. I really liked this a lot as it has concerned me at other Vets where sick dogs are hanging out in common areas where healthy and maybe not fully immunized animals may be later which could lead to cross contamination. Ashley was absolutely fantastic! I don't say that about a lot of medical assistants or front office staff. She was just super enthusiastic, caring, informative, patient, and accommodating. I could really tell that she cared not only about my animal but about me as well. I really liked her positive attitude and reassurance that we would figure out what was going on with my new baby girl.Dr. Aitchison came in promptly and did a full exam on her. She let me know that everything looked good as far as her heart, temp, eyes, ears, nose, etc. everything from a physical exam stance. She did express concern with her vomiting and recommended some tests to rule out Parvo, parasites, etc. The assistants who came in to do all the not so fun stuff were super nice and caring as well. I was so happy to know that all those tests came back negative! The Doctor came back in and explained throughly all the other tests, X-rays, and such we could do to see if something more serious was going on. She was not pushy in anyway about what to do but fully educated me on what else could be done to find out what was going on as well as treatments that could be done to help her feel better.Ashley came back in to go over the pricing of everything. Obviously it was going to be expensive to run all the tests, have xrays etc. Knowing I had just brought my pup home and she was adjusting to a new environment, being away from her siblings etc. I decided I would just take her home and monitor her closely for the next 24 hours and she's how she did. They supported my decision but the dr highly recommended giving her fluids to help with her dehydration. I opted to do that and then was on my way. They gave me a whole folder of information and a number for an emergency clinic in case she didn't improve or got worse and needed to be seen right away. Thank goodness Minnie did great! I think the fluids helped her a lot. She wasn't sick anymore and was back running around like a bouncy new puppy. I am very appreciative of everyone who helped take care of her. From the person on the phone, to the assistants and the doctor, I could really tell everyone there genuinely cares about their animal patients! If you're looking for a vet I highly recommend this place! Read Less
