Dr. Brown and Dr. Dr Castellanos are amazing! This is our second dwarf hamster we've had, and we have taken both of them here to this pet hospital. The vets here genuinely care, and make follow-up calls after the visit to make sure everything is ok. We highly recommend taking your furry family members here! This is THE WORST vet office i have ever been to!! I cannot stress it enough. My lil love rattie was misdiagnosed multiple times by these people and i had to put him down at a different office because these people couldn't do their jobs right and take care of my baby. I spent so much money at the place. Now i request my records for my other pets and they just blow me off and "forget" about my paperwork, i have asked them 5 times now. They killed my baby. I cannot say enough about this AMAZING PLACE its staff and everything about it!!! Dr. Brown goes above and beyond to provide the best possible care and she is truely invested in not only her patients but their owners too! What other veterinarian will take the time out of their Hawaii Vacation to call you personally to discuss your pet when there is something wrong in Lab work (especially when she has multiple other veterinarians on staff whom could have done it for her!) and then once other tests are performed will review it and call you back to let you know what they found!!! I am so thankfulfor her and so are all the fur babies! My family has been using Dr. Brown for well over 28 years and there is NO way we will ever go anywhere else! Unfortunately had to put my rat down and was waiting for a call that she was ready to be picked up......the cage I had brought her in was left there because it wasn't on my mind to get at the time, I was saying good bye to my baby.... So 2.5 weeks later I go back to get my rats and I ask about the cage. Low and behold the threw it away cuz no one claimed it. I had left a message on their answering machine everyday about it I had not gotten one call back. They knew I'd be back for the cage because I had a t-shirt in it as well, well guess what...they kept the t-shirt because they knew it was someone's and that they'd be back for it. Why wouldn't you keep the cage too? That's what baffles me..... I would not trust them with your items, they throw them away even when you do call and try to claim them. The reason they threw the cage away was because it had holes in the bottom, that's the whole reason I wanted it back because my rats that I put down had made thoes holes....but no, to them it was just trash...... this place sucks. This is the only vet that I will ever use. Although I have seen some reviews complaining about wait times as a pet owner I can say there have been times I've had to wait but just like at a human Doctor, emergencies walk in the doors daily and delays may happen but every patient and owners are given as much time as they need. Sometimes having the best may mean a delay but I would rather wait for the best than to be treated as another faceless patient. Dr Brown and her entire staff provide exceptional care to pets and their families. Everyone is more than care providers. They take a sincere interest in everyone who walks through their doors. During the years that I have know Dr. Rose brown all of my pets that I have had I've taken to her for there care that they needed never once did I have a bad feeling about the care they were getting and also staff very friendly and helpful! Just recently I lost my golden 12 years old to cancer, up till that time the whole staff and Dr. Brown was right there 4 me helping with meds, and keeping her comfortable as possible I recommend highly rancho animal hospital if u want good care for your pet! I will never bring any of my animals here. We bring some of our fur kids here. I called for help yesterday for my dying ferret and the lady on the phone was rude and not sympathetic as I sobbed. As I rushed home to get my ferret i was told they were busy but I could pay extra to have my ferret monitored. Then once I got home and on the road i called ahead and I was told to go somewhere else. My ferret died yesterday not that they care. I lost a member of my family. The nurse called my boyfriend to ask if I still wanted to come in for the appointment 2 hours later but my ferret was already gone. The nurse still didn't have any compassion. I've never been so hurt in my entire life. The other hospitals I called around to apologized and sympathizes for not being able to help me and even stayed on the line with me until I reached the hospital where my baby eventually died. Animal care is expensive but they aren't any more expensive than any other vet; it's just a cost that comes with having a pet so don't let any prices scare you. First impression - Excellent! I called around several places this morning because my dog was not feeling well at all. Thankfully I found Rancho San Diego Animal Hospital, only a couple dollars more than some of the others I called, a couple miles away, and they had an opening. Plus, they had a coupon on their website. Clinic was super clean and nice. Customer service, bedside manner of staff and Dr. McNeil is wonderful. Knowledgeable, affordable. My experience with RSDAH was a very pleasant one! We were referred to RSDAH when my cat got sick. We were lucky enough to have Dr. Brown working there that day. She is the best!!! I felt so comfortable with her, and she put me at ease regarding my cat's well being. I have an older cat, and she told me that she loves older cats. She spent a lot of time with us, explaining everything in detail and in a way we could understand. I have nothing but kind things to say about this place and the staff! The day I went there, they had the cutest rescued dog hanging out behind the counter. The spent their time and resources to help save this little dog...and even helped to find him a good home!
