Dr. Singh and his staff, by far, run the best Veterinarian Office in Elk Grove. My 2 Maltese pups have been his patients for over 10 years.  He is gentle, kind, and caring but discusses treatment options and always gives you options if payment is a concern. We took them in for regular grooming and Chris is a careful and considerate groomer. Animal Care Center took care of my sweet boys even when it was time to make those hard decisions at the end of life. Dr. Singh is excellent. My dog was treated at FPR for an ear infection at twice the price and it did not get better. When he started yelping i pain, I brought him to see Dr. Singh and this very kind and competent veterinarian was able to help my dog and heal him at half the price of the pricey vet across town and offered me a free follow up visit (to make sure my dog was healing) and ability to purchase additional treatments and reasonable free monitoring. went to vet today for first time bc it appears my pet has contracted tapeworm infestation. I called ahead and dr Singh was able to tell me what I will need and able to give me medication instantly rather than having to send her stool to the lab.  All went as expected and I got what I came for. Price was fair it seem as I called another place to price quote. Only problem was I asked for nail trim and I'm not sure how she did in that but as I got her back and took her home I saw a fresh scratch (red area on her neck that I don't recall there, and I would know bc I showered her before and after visit.  They didn't tell me how she did and I didn't think to ask, next time I think I would check up on that. Dr. Singh is wonderful. I took my dog here after shelling out a lot of money at Franklin Pet Ranch for an ear infection and only have it get worse with him yelping in pain. Dr. Singh proposed a different treatment with free! followup in a week and my dog beat the ear infection. Also he offered I could continue to buy ear wash there and for a time they would check his ears on a complimentary basis within reason.  My new vet. The staff was friendly (even after my dog promptly peed on the wall as soon as we walked inside), and the doctor was very gentle with my dog. I have been going to this place for about ten years now.Both of my dogs have gone through a lot including extensive surgery.I'm a very skeptical person and find it very difficult to trust businesses. This place is more than a business. Dr. Singh is worthy of trust. He has handled numerous issues with my dogs with honesty and care. My dogs are just like my own kids. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this vet. He misdiagnosed my pet and within two days, we were an emergency with a very very sick pet. Perhaps they are good for routine 'things' but this laid back attitude put my pet's life at risk. I did not find it easy to contact him when urgent and did not appreciate the different excuses was given as to why unavailable. I am sure he is skilled and well-trained and cares about his patients. We have been there twice and both times were great! Dr. Singh is pretty good and straight forward, price is reasonable and the place is nice, clean and smells sanitized! They sent out coupons for the Elk Grove Shopper mailer with various discounted services. I highly recommend this place! I have always taken my dogs to vet, best vet ever, very honest and helpful, unlike Bradshaw to them is always unnecessary stuff that needs to be done, when Dr sighn was able to determine the root of the problem, by a simple blood work, Bradshaw oh no we need xrays for everything, why cause its so expensive, and that's how they make there money Read Less

I had a great experience yesterday visiting Animal Care Center. I called just after 8am, and begged for a same day appointment. I've never been there before, but young lady answering said she would talk to the doctor and see if they could fit me in. She called me back promptly and got me in later that morning. I was very pleased with the promptness and concern shown. Dr. Singh was wonderful! He eased my fears about my cat, checked him out and prescribed me some medication for him and booked me a follow appointment for the following week. Easy, quick, caring and very inexpensive. My little dog got some discharge from anal area and the smell was bad. I took him to this place to check. The vet told me my dog either has tumor or infection in anal gland.  He had to put my dog in anethesia and costs $550. After I check internet and learned my dog had the most common problem and just need to clean anal gland. I took him to Kittle Family Vet Practice and they cleaned dog's gland. I only spent $16.9 (compare $550) and my dog is perfect now. I just wonder why Dr. Singh didn't think the most common problem to treat dog, but put him sleep to check? I do not think he is honest. Also, when I was there to look them check my dog, they really put a muzzle on my dog. I was so upset. I never go back and do not recommend this place for anybody. Read Less

I came here for a second opinion on my cat's advanced dental, he needed teeth extracted and my quote for $1000 was simply too much for my budget. Dr. Singh was understanding and compassionate to both my cat and my concerns. I will go into debt for my animal, but not needlessly so. Dr. Singh explained the procedure and all the why's to put me at ease, and he quoted me at half the cost I was given elsewhere (part of this I *think* is because he did no x rays on my cat's mouth, so if you're looking for this, it's something to consider) I dropped off my cat in the morning and waited all day in pure anxiety to pick him up at 4pm. The staff were kind for each of my visits but especially so on pick up and helped me understand what to expect. This was the most invasive procedure my cat or I had ever experienced so I appreciate the time they gave to me. I went through all the worst case scenarios in my head that night and over-thought what "excessive draining" meant. I'm pleased to say we've had no complications which is a huge relief to both me and my cat. Never have I been to a veterinary clinic in my life where it felt like my dogs were un- welcome! I brought my service animal in and not only did everybody ignore him, when it came time for his exam neither the doctor nor the technician even acknowledged the dog by name let alone pet him or anything??? They put him on to a table and proceeded to man handle him around! May I say again this is a service dog very gentle loving boxer. I will never ever go back to this place, I think to be a veterinarian or a veterinary technician your first love must be animals! I have been coming here for four years.  The vet aide is very sweet, Dr. Singh is very gentle with my cat, and the prices are affordable.  They also send out coupons to your house when a follow up appointment is coming up so that helps.  I recommend this Vet.I would not hold it against them that they take precautions to not get injured by other people's pets during an examination.  Animals can be very unpredictable and if you're seeing many every single day the odds of something going wrong is pretty high already. The good thing about this clinic is that the prices are extremely affordable compared to other vets. However, I choose not to come back because they put a muzzle on my dog to look at him. I can understand not wanting to get bitten but the thing is that all the other vets I've been to have been able to look at my dog without using a muzzle. They have this special way of calming him down so he won't snap. My dog's eyes were wide open and I've never seen such fear in his eyes in the nearly 10 years I've had him. Poor guy :( The vet kind of made me feel bad too because when he came in, my dog was sitting on the scale and he said that he's going to break it. I also purchased toothpaste and the receptionist/tech said that she never cleans her animals teeth and that "they're lucky they even get fed".... such enthusiasm for the profession I see. Read Less

I love this clinic! Dr. Singh is fantastic! he really knows a lot. He wont rip you off. I used to take my puppy to a different clinic in elk grove and they were asking $600 or more for my puppy's dew claw and spaying/neuturing. Dr. Singh estimated the price for me and it wasnt even close to $600. he wont give/sell you things for your pet to use if they really dont need it. Read Less

Dr. Singh is upfront with the cost of care and even requested a free recheck of my animal a week later to make sure his ear infection was resolved.
