Even when they are busy, Laguna Creek Vet Hospital staff acknowledges me and helps me as soon as they can. I came 5 minutes to closing time to get more heartworm medicine, and they were kind, prompt, but didn't make me feel rushed. It is with great sadness that I make this post. My sweet boy Harley died today. His diagnosis was sudden, unexpected and had a dismal prognosis. After absolutely no improvement with medication I made the painful decision to have him euthanized. The doctors and staff (Lottie especially) couldn't have been more caring and respectful. I was giving the information I needed to make the best decision for Harley. There was no pressure to spend a ton of money to try and save him despite the poor prognosis. This is the best veterinary clinic in Elk Grove. Over the past 17 years, the staff has taken excellent care of all my pets ( 2 dogs and a cat). They are kind, caring, knowledgeable, thorough and reasonably priced.  When it came time to say goodbye to two of my beloved pets, they were absolutely phenomenal: so compassionate and professional. A few years ago, in a tough budgetary moment, a friend recommended that I try another vet clinic to "save money". That other clinic was more expensive and nowhere near as good. I absolutely love Laguna Creek Veterinary Hospital. They don't lie and tell you that you need to do numerous amounts of things to help your pets. They are truthful and honest and that is the best quality to have, as so many vet hospitals will charge you crazy amounts for different services and push endless amounts of services, therapies, medications and/or surgeries. I just took my pup in to get looked at for excessive licking of his paws with flesh increased amounts of redness, irritation, and rash. I had the doc visit, got him tested for heart worm, got two medications and heart guard for 6 months and only paid $150. I was stunned!! At my previous vet near my old house that would have been a $300-$350 visit. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone!! Thank you for loving and taking care of my loved ones!! Read Less

While the staff was friendly and involved, and the facility itself was clean and well kept, I had a bad experience overall. (Note: this was my first experience with this veterinarian.) I scheduled my cat for a check-up when I noticed he started spinning in one direction instead of standing still or walking straight. After talking with the doctor she took him in the back to do some tests in order to determine what the issue was. Outward, there was nothing wrong with my cat. So they gave him some anti-nausea medicine and told me to keep an eye on him. That same day I had to rush him to an emergency vet when he started having seizures. Less than 4 days later I had to put him down. While this vet wasn't equipped to handle brain/emergency cases, it wasn't until later I realized that the first minor focal seizure actually happened AT THIS VET while she was talking to me about what they found, or rather, didn't find and she didn't recognize it as such. I know in my head that even if they were to have caught it right then and we wouldn't have delayed those 5-6 hours it wouldn't have made a difference. Unfortunately, this left a bad impression on me and I'm finding it hard to go back to them. Read Less

I have been going to Laguna Creek Vet Hospital for about 10 years. I simply won't go anywhere else.  The doctors focus on what's best for the animals and don't recommend 'money making' treatments. They are very sensitive to my needs and wants and what is best for the family as a whole.  I have had to put two of animals to sleep at the clinic. This horribly devastating experience was handled so well.  I have seven animals and have had A LOT interactions with the staff and veterinarians. I completely recommend coming here. Our dog was very sick. Everyone at at Laguna Creek Veterinary Hospital was very very helpful and understanding. They ran test, kept her in a safe environment overnight. The next morning we received a phone call from the hospital. Angel Cakes was doing great!!! Th doctor will be waiting for us to pick her up and take her home. Cookie and Shiloh love this place ! Cookie turned 1 a few months ago and Shiloh is only 7 months and they have both been coming here since they were 8 weeks old. Appointments are always quick and easy with no time wasted. The staff here are super friendly. I am terrible with remembering when appointments are but they always call a day before for a friendly reminder. They are very professional and handle each pet with lots of love. Even though they take the puppies to the back to give them their shots, I know they are in good hands and they come back normal and hyper as if nothing ever happened. The doctors are super informative and know exactly what they are talking about. My family has been bringing our dogs to Dr. Purewal at Laguna Creek Veterinary for years. He is everything a pet owner could want in a vet: thorough, knowledgable, gentle. Dr. Purewal has performed annual check-ups, dental cleanings, & spay/neuters for several of our dogs, and each visit has been done with great care. All of the staff has been wonderful with our animals, from our shy pug to anxious chihuahua. The staff remembers their personalities and responds to them accordingly.
