I called them today and explained to them that I was looking for a vet that doesn't do declawing of cats and works with cat's with chronic pain from being declawed.The answer I kept receiving from them was a question. Is your cat a kitten or a adult cat. For whatever reason she wasn't hearing what I was saying or asking so I finally asked "so you do declaw cats?" This seemed to be to much for her as she then hung up on me.  I'm assuming they do declawing and since I'm looking for a vet that treats cats that are victims of this procedure I will just have to move on. Dr Haddock is fabulous, I have been going to a much "fancier" vet office for 8+ years and they were not able to get my dog in for a same day appointment, so I had to look around and came across Dr. Haddock. Boy an I happy that my old vet couldn't get me in. Dr Haddock's is so kind, explains everything and doesn't try to gouge your pocket book. This is the BEST vet and staff we've found and they're in our area to boot.  Their bedside manner to the pets is as wonderful as it is to us.  They are caring and compassionate.  They came to our house to help one of our dogs cross over and were so kind during such a difficult and sad time.  We just brought our new rescue to them due to UTI, and while in the reception area a very young marine with no legs and a missing arm had his service dog with him.  This vet supports Wounded Warriors and he gave his services for free.Can't beat that for the character of this clinic. Took my aquatic turtle in because she was not eating right, and acting peculiar. Dr. Lindbeck examined her, and asked plenty of questions about her environment and care. He suggested we change her diet to see if that would help, and then told us no charge because he didn't do anything for her in the way of treatment. I was happily surprised. Dr. Bill and Anne do things the old school way. They keep paper records, work with your animal until they are well taken care of, and are not trying to sell you anything you don't need. I love when we take our pets there for their regular check ups and they address issues and concerns without the need for xrays and lab-work. I recently was "adopted" by a local, stray male kitten. Shortly after joining our family, "Freddy" came home one night severely injured after a brutal fight. It was a Sunday, a day that the Escondido Hills Animal Hospital is normally closed. When we called, however, the kind folks there agreed to meet us at the office immediately. They explained that Freddy would need to be sedated, treated, stitched up, and treated with antibiotics. They also recommended neutering him, as that would calm him down, and make him less prone to getting in fights to begin with. It has been a month since we brought him in. I was so impressed with their kindness, compassion and expertise, that I decided to write this review. They even let me take home a cat-carrier and keep it for two weeks before bringing it back ( when Freddy needed his booster shots ). Freddy is fine and back to his old self ( he was really listless and seemed so life-less when we first brought him in ). I will recommend the Escondido Hills Animal Hospital to anyone who has a pet in need of treatment. Thanks Gang! Read Less
