We are located at 4437 Central Place, Cordelia (zoned Fairfield), California 94534. Our hospital is just east of the 80-680 freeway interchange at the Suisun Valley Road/Pittman Road exit off I-80 (near the Scandia Fun Center visible from the freeway).

THEY KILLED MY POOR BABY he suffered so bad because of them
My dog went in for minor neck pains. Since he has a history of disc problems We went in. I explained that he had kidney disease. We were going to a specialist and it was being managed. The vet (Amanda stuart) seemed like she understood what I was saying I made very clear. I wanted to be very cautious of what they gave him and that it did not affect his kidneys. I even had his regular specialist vet. Send over his lab work that was done 2 days before. Just to make sure. That everything would go okay. Unfortunately, I was told that he was getting a mild pain medication That would be safe. They ended up giving him 2 injections one being carprofen Which is tremendously damaging to the kidneys When I receive the paperwork from the vet for the visit, it was only partial paperwork and it did not include anything that They had given him. the next morning he started having full blown seizures We went back into the emergency room immediately. Where I was told by brenda scholtens That he was having kidney failure and that all I should do is just put him down. I asked Could what he was given last night have contributed to what's going on in him? Having seizures, she told me no, it was safe.That they diagnosed him with stage 4 kidney failure the night before. But mind you. We have been going to a specialist for 1&1/2 yrs and managing it so how did you diagnose him last night? And why would you give him all this pain Medication and then send him home with a week supply to have him Re-evaluated by his vet in 1 to 2 weeks. For back pain nowhere in my full paperwork that I Requested on the day we came back for the seizure. Does it state anywhere that he is in kidney failure? She sat in the office arguing with me telling me yes, she did for 5 mins. She was unwilling to listen to me. Or even later found out to even treat my dog or evaluate what is going on She immediately wanted to kill him because she stated that it was mentioned Last night. For 3hrs we asked To talk to vet the staff would just tell us. She's too busy to talk to you. I Decided to take him home because he got up and started walking around and they started demanding $5000. For a 24hr Iv After his death, I requested to talk to the medical Director Dr. Kristin Trott she told me well She quickly glanced at the papers and thought that they diagnosed him because It's really hard to look at paperwork when you have a dog that just came in for seizures and that it was A mistake made and that's why she appreciates me. Letting her know because this is a learning experience for everybody even though he's dead. She told me that 1 It's safe then she tells me. Well, they told you that it would destroy kidney. And you wanted to do it anyways. Why would I do that I even had the specialist Email over his results to be treated accordingly. That doesn't even make any sense. Then she tells me again. Well, they're safe. I have done so much research on this medication as well as consulted with other vets and it's not this medicationshould never be given to a dog with kidney disease. I was under the impression that we were just getting a mild pain medication. Not an anti-inflammatory that would later cause him to go into kidney failure. They hold no responsibility or account

Every time I have gone there I have been told to go to UC Davis because they can't help my cat. I'm confused about why they are an emergency clinic at all. The vet also referred to my cat as it which made me upset. It seems like they don't actually care about the animals. My advice is to just go to UC Davis over this clinic even though it's more expensive. I know they treat the animals great there.

We brought our three year old dog in for a rattlesnake bite to her muzzle. While there, I counted at least 12 other people in the waiting room. From just listening, it sounded like at least 9 pets were in serious to critical condition. One pet had succumbed having been struck by a car. The owner, beside herself, brought the cat in nonetheless. A dad comforting his little boy who was in tears. Point being...the reception area was full of truly ailing pets and worried owners. I watched in awe as the staff and vets provided the most compassionate, efficient care to every single animal and their owner. The staff appeared to carefully triage and prioritize the pets and were immediate in caring for our dog. They thoroughly explained the plan of care, the rationale and estimated costs. They addressed our pets pain immediately. By evening, we were given an excellent update and thankfully we had a good outcome for our dog. I can not express enough the superb care we received by Debbie, Chandra and Dr. Valerie Fournier (as well as the other staff). You had to have been present in the moment, but Iβve not seen better team work and care under extremely stressful circumstances. I would highly recommend the facility based upon the professionalism, competence and compassionate care I observed in this group of βrock starsβ today.

Also they get into the habit of trying to up sell and it gets a little uncomfortable because you don't know if they are really looking out for the pet or if they just want to make more money. I would say avoid this place unless you absolutely need to take advantage of them being open 24hours

After cutting Lucy's nails , our beautiful 6 year old boxer/lab , I gave her lots of love and her bone she took it and went on her bed to enjoy it . A few minutes later I find her bed covered in blood and Lucy's nail just pouring blood .
I went into panic mode that never happening before . My young son has autism he's upstairs sleeping and I'm alone in the house .
So I grabbed the kwik stop I got last year to cut my bird claws . I poured half the bottle fighting with lucy to lay down and stay ugh .
It kept bleeding and stopping then it would start up again each time I'd get up to grab my phone, more paper towels Lucy would run off ππ she's very sneaky , stubborn and thinks she knows best .
Ok after ten mins of that Lucy decided to run off and it went into full bleeding again , I really thought she'd bleed to death while I tried waking up my son getting him i the car ( that in itself would be a battle ) then have my crazy car ride loving dog who turns into a 65 pound crazy puppy in the car jumping blood all over my brand new Nissan rogue πππ¬ so I called Solano Napa emergency clinic and Heather saved me she calmed me down talked me through it while having to stop every minute while I told my sneaky dog not to think about running off .... ππ In fact Heather found my nut house very funny with my bird squaking in the background lol .

Took my dog in after he had a reaction to his rabies shot. Very clean, staff was quick, they took him right back when I came in and told them what was happening. The vet saw me in probably less than 10 minutes to tell me what the plan was. I was given my options complete with a quote. I had to leave my dog for half a day. They called me twice while he was there with updates as to how he was responding to the treatment and when I could come get him if he did better. I had him back by midnight and for less than was quoted me. I'm glad this is my closest emergency vet.

My 4 year old Great Pyrenees was having full body tremors, so we called ahead and by the time I arrived with her, they were literally waiting for us with the door open! Doctor & staff are exceptional! Took our little dog in for treatment of a bad cough and were very well taken care of. Unfortunately there were several emergency cases right after us so it took quite a bit of time to complete diagnosis and treatment. Would definitely recommend this facility for urgent care of your pets.

My sister and I came here when our dog started throwing up and had a loss of appetite for the past couple of weeks. Β Everyone from the front desk to the doctor was very helpful and very friendly. Β Our dog isn't Β the friendliest dog and they were very understanding of that. Β The doctor was very informative about the situation our dog was in. Β She suspected something was obstructing his intestines and told us what our options would be. She even took the time to map out the costs for us. We decided to go somewhere else for the surgery our dog needed due to how pricey the cost here was (it's an emergency vet so high costs are to be expected). Our doctor was very understanding and respected that. Β I wish I could remember what her name was because she was amazing.Also this place was very clean and they have water and coffee in the waiting room. Excellent place to go to if your fur baby is in need of medical attention.

When at last the vet saw my dog for a few minutes, he said I should get him to the Hospital immediately or he probably would die that nite...It was pretty sad when all the help seeing my dog lay in my friends lap head hanging over and didn't rush him in..as even your hospital sad..But thanks to you, you saved Rollin, I left him overnight and you did everything to bring his vital signs to normal. finding out he had pancreatic disease, which can be deadly. You were so professional and caring showing nothing but compassion to me, leaving me at ease to leave him over night and to be able to call anytime to get a update, which I did at 2:00 am, I couldn't sleep and actually talked to a VET not a assistant. You took X-rays, and a ultra sound, you wanted to cover everything to be sure what was causing his sickness. Dr. Zuhal Ethan DVM went thru everything to show the x rays, and what they were doing and did. She is Great!!So Thank you from the bottom of my heart..If anyone has to go to this hospital, don't hesitate It is the best care I have seen in a long time.

I cannot say enough good things about the entire staff here. Our dogs (30 lb. Labradoodle and 85 lb. Lab) got into an entire, brand new bottle of Ibuprofen last Thursday evening. We did not know how much they each had, or when. I called Solano-Napa Pet Emergency Clinic right away and they advised I come right in. Upon my arrival 20 minutes later, the receptionist remembered us by name and had them brought back immediately. Our Lab was discharged that evening but our Labradoodle has been in and out (between SPEC and our regular vet) since last Thursday (her longest stay being over 36 hours at SPEC over the weekend). Β The entire time, the staff (from reception to technicians to the Dr.'s) have been nothing short of amazing. There is no lack of communication, which often happens over multiple shift changes during prolonged care stay such as this one, and each Dr. and tech have been responsive, understanding, willing to explain/answer questions, patient and most of all makes you feel calm in an uneasy/scary moment.I feel as though pricing is fair considering they are providing emergency services and provide a level of care that is paramount (most line items were less expensive than they would have been at my "regular" vet). I wouldn't want to go anywhere else in the event of a pet emergency.The ONLY downside is that they are not open 24 hours during the week, so I had to pick up our dog in the AM, take her to our regular vet during day, and then bring her back to SPEC for her overnight care. That said, SPEC does make the process as seamless as possible by calling regular vet and emailing over the updated paperwork for pet.

I am all out of words to describe how compassionate, professional and accurate Dr Walsh and all the staff were in the last night of Roxy's life. They were exemplary-from the receptionist, to the staff that was quick with the gurney -we were accepted and cared for-including most importantly -Roxy.Thank you so much-please take my advice-the staff and doctors here will help like none other.I will always miss my Roxy-forever

This place is OK I guess. Definitely money oriented and in the case there is another pet emergency I'll be taking my business somewhere else. -1 star : I was in the waiting room for at least an hour. Nobody updated me on how long it would take to bring my puppy back and when I finally asked , I was told the dog that came in before me was pretty serious. I understood and wasn't mad after the explanation. However, 3 dogs came after mine and they were brought to the back, being helped before mine, which was the tick for me. -1 star: After my dog was finally seen, they basically told me it was a false alarm and nothing was wrong. But recommended a surplus of treatments to "make her more comfortable" I went with it, that is until a lady came in with my "estimate" of about $500. I explained to her that it was my mom who was going to take care of the billing and they said that it had to be paid in full to proceed with any services. Β -1 star: After choosing just to go with an IV treatment among all the other options that were thrown at me, I was checked out at the front desk. The receptionist explained that my care instructions would just be emailed to me instead of given to me at the time I left. It has been over 10 hours and I have not received "after-care" instructions. Staff was always courteous and professional. Place definitely clean. However they don't provide the warmest environment for you or your pet and seem to take advantage of your emotions at the time by "discussing" unnecessary treatment plans and trying to charge you on the spot.

Got my dobe's ears cropped at Woodminster Veterinary Hospital. Dropped him off at 10:30am (appointment time). I didn't meet the doctor. There were a lot of young girls in the front office. Some you could tell were training. I left and went about my day. I was feeling a little apprehensive about my puppy's first surgery, but I was a reassuring myself that everything was going to go well since I personally knew someone who went there to get her dobe's ears cropped.I expected to pick him up at 5:30pm but was pleasantly surprised that I received a phone call that I could pick him up at 4:30pm. (They didn't leave the compression wrap on long enough)Since he was still sedated, my husband and I ran to the store to buy stuff for him. When we came back, his bandages were off and there was blood in the crate and all over his e-collar. I re-wrapped his ears and he kept shaking his head. There was blood all over the kitchen. My son came home and saw the bloody mess. My daughter came home and freaked out when she saw all the blood. We ended up going to the emergency pet clinic and stayed there from 10:30pm - 1:30am to get his ears re-wrapped properly. More money down the drain.Lesson learned: meet the doctor who's going to do the surgery and make sure the bandages aren't done by a rookie!!I give them one star for the trauma my family went through. We were totally unprepared for what transpired this evening.Solano-Napa Pet Emergency Clinic is a blessing! Thank goodness there's an ED for our adopted babies.

This is debatable, in my book, as to whether it should be a two star or three star review.The technical service (ie. the actual treatment of my pet and communication with the Dr.) was excellent. I have no complaints.I do however, have a problem with being overcharged. I suggest that each and every person who visits this clinic review their bill thoroughly and ask questions about anything on their bill that doesn't seem right to them.Especially check to see if they charged you a 'Ward' fee. I asked the Dr. what this fee meant and he explained to me they only charged it if you didn't pick up your pet(its basically a kennel fee) and he explained that they wouldn't charge me that fee unless I didn't get my kitty kat before midnight. Well, the techs didn't get done until after midnight and I got my pet as soon as they were done with her, so she was never 'kenneled.'Anyways, I was charged for that and luckily, after I paid, I questioned the secretary as to why I was being charged this fee for a service that wasn't rendered. I was refunded the 35$, after a few minutes of waiting.I'm sure that this would be a nice little padding to a bill that nobody knows about because its mysteriously named a 'ward' fee instead of what it really is, a 'kennel fee.'So watchout, and save yourself $35 dollars!!

After taking 1000 dollars on an Easter Sunday night and then calling asking for more told it would be there at 9 am they took the puppy off the IV. And handed him back the young lady who was shaking bad. Then they asked her to leave after yelling at her 12 year old sister. They said threatening things to their mom when she called then admitted they didn't run any more tests on the puppy but it was her fault. They are horrible. They do emotional black mail there for more money.tbis us the secind time this has happened before. Do not use this place. They know they are the only place avalible at late hours. Horrible.

Very compassionate and skilled staff -- always welcome when dealing with a pet emergency. We were tended to quickly. The procedure was going to take several hours so, living 20 minutes away, we were able to leave. Doctor called right after the procedure and we were able to return and pick up kitty just as the anesthesia was wearing off.

I knew of the Vet care ER but had never been to them before. I brought him in and told them what happened. They took the care of the little guy right away and called the local animal shelter for me. Pets are our children and as you may know, emergency visits can be life altering for those with critical issues. This clinic was open late and our pup had gotten himself stabbed by a fox tail in the ear! I quickly scanned Yelp for help in this time sensitive issue and called to check how busy they were. The gal on the phone was helpful and explained the sooner we get there the better. Fox tails are dangerous and they had done 5 just since they opened @ 6 pm (called at 730)!!!We arrived and filled out paperwork. He is young at 10 weeks so we had to let them know he didn't have his 2nd round of shots. They said to keep him in the car until there was a room for him to be. So we sat with the windows down and waited about 2 hours and then a doc took his vitals and brought in some tools to get the fox tail out.That thing was super deep and our puppy kept moving so we had to sedate him :( bummer. At this time they took him to the back (945 pm) and said it would be 45-1 HR unless there is a critical/urgent animal. We got Wendy's (horrible food btw) and came back.They had 3 urgent animals arrive since we had left and our pup was not in any life threatening danger so they took the urgent care animals first. Β Sure that would make me a bit angry but come on, other folks animals were in critical condition so we understand their thinking.Our dog came out and he was hella dazed but the foxtail was covered in blood and deep in his ear canal. The pricing was not the highest it could have been, thankfully. But we understood what had to happen to get the treatment needed.He slept on our bed and is back to normal 100%. Time to make sure the yard has zero fox tails and check him regularly.

This business is terrible, I had a dog in there in 2010 and told them after 1000.00 to please call me because I was out of money and could not afford any more than that. I had just had another dog in there and it was over $2k to treat him. Well they ran the bill up to almost $1,600 and then expected me to pay.. I paid the amount I agreed to 1k, and still to this day they have a judgement against me and show me in collections for the other $600.. That kind of management is ridiculous especially after I spent $3k with them? NEVER trust the business side of this business!!

We woke up to our elderly dog in distress around 2am one morning last year. And if it weren't for SPEC, I don't know what we would have done to help him (and ourselves!). I am so grateful for all the folks who are willing to work in emergency situations at all, but even more so for those who are willing to do so on the overnight shift--that can't be fun for most people but it can mean the world to those of us who need them. If anyone from SPEC is reading this (Dr. Shak, Marika..) we can not thank you enough for doing what you do...thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

I was not happy that they wanted $1400 to operate in my male cat and clear a urinary blockage, but the doctor who took care of us was very understanding and supportive of my decision to put my 3 yr old Romeo to sleep. They allowed me plenty of time to hold him and grieve. I also received a card from the pet cemetery they sent him to which was very previous. Hard to like somewhere you took your beloved pet for help to actually have to put him down but over all it was the best experience I have had in putting a kitty down and unfortunately he was the third one in as many years.

I've brought my cats here on numerous occasions for the past 10+ years. It is a very clean environment, the staff is caring & understanding, and the vets are very gentle & sensitive with my cats. They are thorough in explaining all options and costs. Dr. Valoria is especially caring, checking in with me the day after my last visit to see how my kitten was doing. I wish they were a regular vet office, because this is where I'd prefer to take my cats for all visits! Thank you guys.

THEY KILLED MY POOR BABY he suffered so bad because of them
My dog went in for minor neck pains. Since he has a history of disc problems We went in. I explained that he had kidney disease. We were going to a specialist and it was being managed. The vet (Amanda stuart) seemed like she understood what I was saying I made very clear. I wanted to be very cautious of what they gave him and that it did not affect his kidneys. I even had his regular specialist vet. Send over his lab work that was done 2 days before. Just to make sure. That everything would go okay. Unfortunately, I was told that he was getting a mild pain medication That would be safe. They ended up giving him 2 injections one being carprofen Which is tremendously damaging to the kidneys When I receive the paperwork from the vet for the visit, it was only partial paperwork and it did not include anything that They had given him. the next morning he started having full blown seizures We went back into the emergency room immediately. Where I was told by brenda scholtens That he was having kidney failure and that all I should do is just put him down. I asked Could what he was given last night have contributed to what's going on in him? Having seizures, she told me no, it was safe.That they diagnosed him with stage 4 kidney failure the night before. But mind you. We have been going to a specialist for 1&1/2 yrs and managing it so how did you diagnose him last night? And why would you give him all this pain Medication and then send him home with a week supply to have him Re-evaluated by his vet in 1 to 2 weeks. For back pain nowhere in my full paperwork that I Requested on the day we came back for the seizure. Does it state anywhere that he is in kidney failure? She sat in the office arguing with me telling me yes, she did for 5 mins. She was unwilling to listen to me. Or even later found out to even treat my dog or evaluate what is going on She immediately wanted to kill him because she stated that it was mentioned Last night. For 3hrs we asked To talk to vet the staff would just tell us. She's too busy to talk to you. I Decided to take him home because he got up and started walking around and they started demanding $5000. For a 24hr Iv After his death, I requested to talk to the medical Director Dr. Kristin Trott she told me well She quickly glanced at the papers and thought that they diagnosed him because It's really hard to look at paperwork when you have a dog that just came in for seizures and that it was A mistake made and that's why she appreciates me. Letting her know because this is a learning experience for everybody even though he's dead. She told me that 1 It's safe then she tells me. Well, they told you that it would destroy kidney. And you wanted to do it anyways. Why would I do that I even had the specialist Email over his results to be treated accordingly. That doesn't even make any sense. Then she tells me again. Well, they're safe. I have done so much research on this medication as well as consulted with other vets and it's not this medicationshould never be given to a dog with kidney disease. I was under the impression that we were just getting a mild pain medication. Not an anti-inflammatory that would later cause him to go into kidney failure. They hold no responsibility or account

Every time I have gone there I have been told to go to UC Davis because they can't help my cat. I'm confused about why they are an emergency clinic at all. The vet also referred to my cat as it which made me upset. It seems like they don't actually care about the animals. My advice is to just go to UC Davis over this clinic even though it's more expensive. I know they treat the animals great there.

We brought our three year old dog in for a rattlesnake bite to her muzzle. While there, I counted at least 12 other people in the waiting room. From just listening, it sounded like at least 9 pets were in serious to critical condition. One pet had succumbed having been struck by a car. The owner, beside herself, brought the cat in nonetheless. A dad comforting his little boy who was in tears. Point being...the reception area was full of truly ailing pets and worried owners. I watched in awe as the staff and vets provided the most compassionate, efficient care to every single animal and their owner. The staff appeared to carefully triage and prioritize the pets and were immediate in caring for our dog. They thoroughly explained the plan of care, the rationale and estimated costs. They addressed our pets pain immediately. By evening, we were given an excellent update and thankfully we had a good outcome for our dog. I can not express enough the superb care we received by Debbie, Chandra and Dr. Valerie Fournier (as well as the other staff). You had to have been present in the moment, but Iβve not seen better team work and care under extremely stressful circumstances. I would highly recommend the facility based upon the professionalism, competence and compassionate care I observed in this group of βrock starsβ today.

Also they get into the habit of trying to up sell and it gets a little uncomfortable because you don't know if they are really looking out for the pet or if they just want to make more money. I would say avoid this place unless you absolutely need to take advantage of them being open 24hours

After cutting Lucy's nails , our beautiful 6 year old boxer/lab , I gave her lots of love and her bone she took it and went on her bed to enjoy it . A few minutes later I find her bed covered in blood and Lucy's nail just pouring blood .
I went into panic mode that never happening before . My young son has autism he's upstairs sleeping and I'm alone in the house .
So I grabbed the kwik stop I got last year to cut my bird claws . I poured half the bottle fighting with lucy to lay down and stay ugh .
It kept bleeding and stopping then it would start up again each time I'd get up to grab my phone, more paper towels Lucy would run off ππ she's very sneaky , stubborn and thinks she knows best .
Ok after ten mins of that Lucy decided to run off and it went into full bleeding again , I really thought she'd bleed to death while I tried waking up my son getting him i the car ( that in itself would be a battle ) then have my crazy car ride loving dog who turns into a 65 pound crazy puppy in the car jumping blood all over my brand new Nissan rogue πππ¬ so I called Solano Napa emergency clinic and Heather saved me she calmed me down talked me through it while having to stop every minute while I told my sneaky dog not to think about running off .... ππ In fact Heather found my nut house very funny with my bird squaking in the background lol .

Took my dog in after he had a reaction to his rabies shot. Very clean, staff was quick, they took him right back when I came in and told them what was happening. The vet saw me in probably less than 10 minutes to tell me what the plan was. I was given my options complete with a quote. I had to leave my dog for half a day. They called me twice while he was there with updates as to how he was responding to the treatment and when I could come get him if he did better. I had him back by midnight and for less than was quoted me. I'm glad this is my closest emergency vet.

My 4 year old Great Pyrenees was having full body tremors, so we called ahead and by the time I arrived with her, they were literally waiting for us with the door open! Doctor & staff are exceptional! Took our little dog in for treatment of a bad cough and were very well taken care of. Unfortunately there were several emergency cases right after us so it took quite a bit of time to complete diagnosis and treatment. Would definitely recommend this facility for urgent care of your pets.

My sister and I came here when our dog started throwing up and had a loss of appetite for the past couple of weeks. Β Everyone from the front desk to the doctor was very helpful and very friendly. Β Our dog isn't Β the friendliest dog and they were very understanding of that. Β The doctor was very informative about the situation our dog was in. Β She suspected something was obstructing his intestines and told us what our options would be. She even took the time to map out the costs for us. We decided to go somewhere else for the surgery our dog needed due to how pricey the cost here was (it's an emergency vet so high costs are to be expected). Our doctor was very understanding and respected that. Β I wish I could remember what her name was because she was amazing.Also this place was very clean and they have water and coffee in the waiting room. Excellent place to go to if your fur baby is in need of medical attention.

This place is amazing..after waiting 3 hrs in a vet's office in Napa for a walk in and being refused by the rest of the vet's saying we have no appointments available. It was a agonizing day. When at last the vet saw my dog for a few minutes, he said I should get him to the Hospital immediately or he probably would die that nite...It was pretty sad when all the help seeing my dog lay in my friends lap head hanging over and didn't rush him in..as even your hospital sad..But thanks to you, you saved Rollin, I left him overnight and you did everything to bring his vital signs to normal. finding out he had pancreatic disease, which can be deadly. You were so professional and caring showing nothing but compassion to me, leaving me at ease to leave him over night and to be able to call anytime to get a update, which I did at 2:00 am, I couldn't sleep and actually talked to a VET not a assistant. You took X-rays, and a ultra sound, you wanted to cover everything to be sure what was causing his sickness. Dr. Zuhal Ethan DVM went thru everything to show the x rays, and what they were doing and did. She is Great!!So Thank you from the bottom of my heart..If anyone has to go to this hospital, don't hesitate It is the best care I have seen in a long time.

I cannot say enough good things about the entire staff here. Our dogs (30 lb. Labradoodle and 85 lb. Lab) got into an entire, brand new bottle of Ibuprofen last Thursday evening. We did not know how much they each had, or when. I called Solano-Napa Pet Emergency Clinic right away and they advised I come right in. Upon my arrival 20 minutes later, the receptionist remembered us by name and had them brought back immediately. Our Lab was discharged that evening but our Labradoodle has been in and out (between SPEC and our regular vet) since last Thursday (her longest stay being over 36 hours at SPEC over the weekend). Β The entire time, the staff (from reception to technicians to the Dr.'s) have been nothing short of amazing. There is no lack of communication, which often happens over multiple shift changes during prolonged care stay such as this one, and each Dr. and tech have been responsive, understanding, willing to explain/answer questions, patient and most of all makes you feel calm in an uneasy/scary moment.I feel as though pricing is fair considering they are providing emergency services and provide a level of care that is paramount (most line items were less expensive than they would have been at my "regular" vet). I wouldn't want to go anywhere else in the event of a pet emergency.The ONLY downside is that they are not open 24 hours during the week, so I had to pick up our dog in the AM, take her to our regular vet during day, and then bring her back to SPEC for her overnight care. That said, SPEC does make the process as seamless as possible by calling regular vet and emailing over the updated paperwork for pet.

I am all out of words to describe how compassionate, professional and accurate Dr Walsh and all the staff were in the last night of Roxy's life. This place is OK I guess. Definitely money oriented and in the case there is another pet emergency I'll be taking my business somewhere else. -1 star : I was in the waiting room for at least an hour. Nobody updated me on how long it would take to bring my puppy back and when I finally asked , I was told the dog that came in before me was pretty serious. I understood and wasn't mad after the explanation. However, 3 dogs came after mine and they were brought to the back, being helped before mine, which was the tick for me. -1 star: After my dog was finally seen, they basically told me it was a false alarm and nothing was wrong. But recommended a surplus of treatments to "make her more comfortable" I went with it, that is until a lady came in with my "estimate" of about $500. I explained to her that it was my mom who was going to take care of the billing and they said that it had to be paid in full to proceed with any services. Β -1 star: After choosing just to go with an IV treatment among all the other options that were thrown at me, I was checked out at the front desk. The receptionist explained that my care instructions would just be emailed to me instead of given to me at the time I left. It has been over 10 hours and I have not received "after-care" instructions. Staff was always courteous and professional. Place definitely clean. However they don't provide the warmest environment for you or your pet and seem to take advantage of your emotions at the time by "discussing" unnecessary treatment plans and trying to charge you on the spot.

Some you could tell were training. I left and went about my day. I was feeling a little apprehensive about my puppy's first surgery, but I was a reassuring myself that everything was going to go well since I personally knew someone who went there to get her dobe's ears cropped.I expected to pick him up at 5:30pm but was pleasantly surprised that I received a phone call that I could pick him up at 4:30pm. (They didn't leave the compression wrap on long enough)Since he was still sedated, my husband and I ran to the store to buy stuff for him. When we came back, his bandages were off and there was blood in the crate and all over his e-collar. I re-wrapped his ears and he kept shaking his head. There was blood all over the kitchen. My son came home and saw the bloody mess. My daughter came home and freaked out when she saw all the blood. We ended up going to the emergency pet clinic and stayed there from 10:30pm - 1:30am to get his ears re-wrapped properly. More money down the drain.Lesson learned: meet the doctor who's going to do the surgery and make sure the bandages aren't done by a rookie!!I give them one star for the trauma my family went through. We were totally unprepared for what transpired this evening.Solano-Napa Pet Emergency Clinic is a blessing! Thank goodness there's an ED for our adopted babies.

This is debatable, in my book, as to whether it should be a two star or three star review.The technical service (ie. the actual treatment of my pet and communication with the Dr.) was excellent. I have no complaints.I do however, have a problem with being overcharged. I suggest that each and every person who visits this clinic review their bill thoroughly and ask questions about anything on their bill that doesn't seem right to them.Especially check to see if they charged you a 'Ward' fee. I asked the Dr. what this fee meant and he explained to me they only charged it if you didn't pick up your pet(its basically a kennel fee) and he explained that they wouldn't charge me that fee unless I didn't get my kitty kat before midnight. Well, the techs didn't get done until after midnight and I got my pet as soon as they were done with her, so she was never 'kenneled.'Anyways, I was charged for that and luckily, after I paid, I questioned the secretary as to why I was being charged this fee for a service that wasn't rendered. I was refunded the 35$, after a few minutes of waiting.I'm sure that this would be a nice little padding to a bill that nobody knows about because its mysteriously named a 'ward' fee instead of what it really is, a 'kennel fee.'So watchout, and save yourself $35 dollars!!

After taking 1000 dollars on an Easter Sunday night and then calling asking for more told it would be there at 9 am they took the puppy off the IV. And handed him back the young lady who was shaking bad. Then they asked her to leave after yelling at her 12 year old sister. They said threatening things to their mom when she called then admitted they didn't run any more tests on the puppy but it was her fault. They are horrible. They do emotional black mail there for more money.tbis us the secind time this has happened before. Do not use this place. They know they are the only place avalible at late hours. Horrible.

Very compassionate and skilled staff -- always welcome when dealing with a pet emergency. We were tended to quickly. The procedure was going to take several hours so, living 20 minutes away, we were able to leave. Doctor called right after the procedure and we were able to return and pick up kitty just as the anesthesia was wearing off.

I knew of the Vet care ER but had never been to them before. I brought him in and told them what happened. They took the care of the little guy right away and called the local animal shelter for me. These folks are wonderful! I'll be back if my dog ever needs a thing.

I knew of the Vet care ER but had never been to them before. I brought him in and told them what happened. They took the care of the little guy right away and called the local animal shelter for me. These folks are wonderful! I'll be back if my dog ever needs a thing.

Pets are our children and as you may know, emergency visits can be life altering for those with critical issues. This clinic was open late and our pup had gotten himself stabbed by a fox tail in the ear! I quickly scanned Yelp for help in this time sensitive issue and called to check how busy they were. The gal on the phone was helpful and explained the sooner we get there the better. Fox tails are dangerous and they had done 5 just since they opened @ 6 pm (called at 730)!!!We arrived and filled out paperwork. He is young at 10 weeks so we had to let them know he didn't have his 2nd round of shots. They said to keep him in the car until there was a room for him to be. So we sat with the windows down and waited about 2 hours and then a doc took his vitals and brought in some tools to get the fox tail out.That thing was super deep and our puppy kept moving so we had to sedate him :( bummer. At this time they took him to the back (945 pm) and said it would be 45-1 HR unless there is a critical/urgent animal. We got Wendy's (horrible food btw) and came back.They had 3 urgent animals arrive since we had left and our pup was not in any life threatening danger so they took the urgent care animals first. Β Sure that would make me a bit angry but come on, other folks animals were in critical condition so we understand their thinking.Our dog came out and he was hella dazed but the foxtail was covered in blood and deep in his ear canal. The pricing was not the highest it could have been, thankfully. But we understood what had to happen to get the treatment needed.He slept on our bed and is back to normal 100%. Time to make sure the yard has zero fox tails and check him regularly.

This business is terrible, I had a dog in there in 2010 and told them after 1000.00 to please call me because I was out of money and could not afford any more than that. I had just had another dog in there and it was over $2k to treat him. Well they ran the bill up to almost $1,600 and then expected me to pay.. I paid the amount I agreed to 1k, and still to this day they have a judgement against me and show me in collections for the other $600.. That kind of management is ridiculous especially after I spent $3k with them? NEVER trust the business side of this business!!

We woke up to our elderly dog in distress around 2am one morning last year. And if it weren't for SPEC, I don't know what we would have done to help him (and ourselves!). I am so grateful for all the folks who are willing to work in emergency situations at all, but even more so for those who are willing to do so on the overnight shift--that can't be fun for most people but it can mean the world to those of us who need them. If anyone from SPEC is reading this (Dr. Shak, Marika..) we can not thank you enough for doing what you do...thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

I was not happy that they wanted $1400 to operate in my male cat and clear a urinary blockage, but the doctor who took care of us was very understanding and supportive of my decision to put my 3 yr old Romeo to sleep. They allowed me plenty of time to hold him and grieve. I also received a card from the pet cemetery they sent him to which was very previous. Hard to like somewhere you took your beloved pet for help to actually have to put him down but over all it was the best experience I have had in putting a kitty down and unfortunately he was the third one in as many years.

I've brought my cats here on numerous occasions for the past 10+ years. It is a very clean environment, the staff is caring & understanding, and the vets are very gentle & sensitive with my cats. They are thorough in explaining all options and costs. Dr. Valoria is especially caring, checking in with me the day after my last visit to see how my kitten was doing. I wish they were a regular vet office, because this is where I'd prefer to take my cats for all visits! Thank you guys.
