Cat Clinic Of Folsom

Folsom, California
General Info
The Cat Clinic of Folsom provides seasonal care to help pets manage allergy spikes, heat waves, cold-weather stiffness, and everything in between. Veterinarians examine changes in energy and eating habits and how well they are harmonized with the behavior (temperature, allergens, activities) during every consultation. Physical examinations include checks for skin dryness, coat and paw condition, ear health, and breathing quality. This will help identify instances of discomfort and analyze how different seasons affect everyday wellbeing. Healthcare services entail basic and comprehensive programs, including vaccinations, parasite control, wellness inspections with fecal and blood tests, and disease monitoring. The Cat Clinic of Folsom creates custom plans to address persistent problems like dry skin during winter and seasonal allergies in spring and fall. In this regard, healthcare providers might use allergy panels along with hydration and mobility tests as well as diet checks to establish the causes of flare-ups. Families with many pets or those needing ongoing wellness care for chronic health issues find it easier to stagger visits and schedule seasonal wellness visits. Every care plan has risk management strategies at home as a part of a day-to-day routine written down (walks during the heat spikes, reminders for hydration, indoor enrichment ideas for cold months). Cat Clinic of Folsom also assists pet owners in Folsom to understand how weather patterns, environmental factors, and daily routines affect their pets’ long-term health. This ensures that the animals get adequate support from care which is not only proactive but also well tailored throughout the year in California. The team provides specialized services such as Boarding, Cold Laser Therapy, Dental Care, Diagnostics, and In-House Pharmacy. Clients highly praise the team for its devotion and individualized approach to pets’ health. From routine checkups to complex surgeries, the clinic ensures that your pet receives top-quality care in a serene and welcoming setting. Advanced techniques and services include the following: Laser Therapy, Nutritional Counseling, Orthopedic Surgery, Pet Euthanasia, and Radiology (X-ray).

The vet's and staff at the Cat Clinic of Folsom are and have been an absolutely amazing group. They have taken care of both our cats (Sketch and MooMoo). From diagnosed food allergies to surgical procedures, The Cat Clinic of Folsom has made our families lives (cat's included) less stressful and affordable. We trust that they are here to help our animals, not their bottom line. They are very affordable, not only do they have minimal product mark-up, they don't bill you up the ying yang for invaluable services. Seriously, I'm a coupon clipper who tries to save a buck on everything. The fees charged for their service and care are better than every other clinic we've visited throughout the Placer and Sacramento Counties. And as a couponer, I've been to a lot! The Cat Clinic of Folsom will continue to be the clinic to care for our babies. Read Less

Unfortunately I feel the same way about Dr. Lara that the other low star raters do. She never seems to have a diagnosis. It's always, "It could be this, it could be that, then again it just could be such-and-such, or it might be blah, blah, blah..." when she sees cats every single day! Even when xrays are taken she wants to add on an $80.00 "consultation" fee so someone ELSE can give their opinion of the radiographs instead of HER being the one to interpret them. What are cat parents paying for in their $55 office visit fee then if we can't get any diagnosis or xray interpretation from the doctor? Dr. Lara refuses to commit to anything, I suppose in case she's wrong. It's incredibly frustrating and costly. Read Less

Plus we have a 17 year old kitty who wasn't doing very well a couple of years ago, and with their patience and expertise, she is completely healthy and even acts like a kitten sometimes. A couple of weeks ago, we took our other cat in because he wasn't acting like his normal self. And it was on a Saturday - thank God for their Saturday hours. Nice building and it's great that it's only for cats but the vet that saw my cat (Anita Lara) acted like she hadn't ever treated one! She didn't bother to pet or be warm to my cat at all and cared more about getting sued over a bite or scratch instead of letting me try and keep my cat calm. My cat has been seen by many vets over the years and he has NEVER had any issues before this. The receptionist was wonderful, but that's about it. Our cats never visit without being complimented and told how sweet and pretty they are. They are kind and caring and it helps put the cats at ease. Dr. Standon is fantastic and has helped treat all of the little problems that have come up with our cats, she is very knowledgeable and realistic of the needs of a family that includes animals. I switched to the cat clinic after being treated rudely at another clinic in Folsom. It's like night and day. No dogs. No obnoxious people. No rude employees. Most importantly, they love cats and listen intently when I'm rambling on about my cats. They've been very supportive when feral cats have shown up at our door. I used to live in Orangevale and the clinic was very convenient. I moved to Citrus Heights and although the drive is longer, I wouldn't dream of taking them anywher else! Read Less

Dr Standon is wonderful!! There clinic is a perfect and clean environment for cats. I interviewed & inspected many clinics. You would be shocked what is in the back room of some of these vets. I had a horrible experience at another vet. They had us in once a month running tons of tests, she kept getting sicker & loosing weight. Thanks to Dr Standon, she is now up to 10.3lbs from 6lbs. She is healthy & active for an 18 year old cat. I am hoping she will live a few more healthy happy years. Read Less

Dr. Standon and her staff are very thorough, caring, and kind. The clinic is very clean and inviting, and they are always available to help. When I call with a problem with one of my cats they have always told me to just bring him in. I have never had to wait for an appointment. I highly recommend these wonderful people. As with everything, the tests can be expensive, but nothing is ever forced on me. They are just fantastic! Read Less
