Nice people, staff knowledgeable, prices reasonable. They currently have 5 or 6 vets on staff. I travel with animals internationally & need paperwork from vet. They're good for that. They don't seem to use or know a lot about alternatives to Western Medicine. Read Less

We have been going to Central Veterinary Hospital for 22 years.  We started going there when our special needs son turned 5 years old and wanted a puppy.  Our son will turn 27 next month. We usually see Dr Bruno and she is so awesome. We have also seen Dr. Dunlap once or twice and had no problems with him.  Dr. Bruno knows our animals and their personalities.  She never pushes extra meds our unnecessary test on our animals.  She never has and I don't think she ever will.  She cares about each and every animal that she takes care of .  Our cat Sunny got very sick and we did not think he would make it.  But with her help and around the clock care he made it. Then there is McGee our other cat.  When we found him he was around 9ounces and his eye was matted shut. Dr. Bruno worked hard to get him healthy. 2 years later he is a very good cat. He's very feisty and to  clever for his own good. Bonnie is the groomer and she takes very good care of our English bull dog.  Sammy is very hard to give a bath to.  When we give her a bath at home it usually takes 3 people and we all usually end up very wet.  Bonnie does a great job, she cleans her ears trims her nails and when we get her back she smells so good.   Think about this, with all the vet hospitals out there would we really had stuck with them for 22 years if the  veterinarians and the  staff wasn't the best ?  I don't think so. I have been trying to find a great place to take my Yoshi , as I am very concerned about her well being. I came here as a new pt. and I cant say enough about the wonderful Dr that we saw. Her name was Dr. Linda Lawrence, she was wonderful really took the time to educate me on my dog. I feel like we are finally in good hands. Wonderful place I will highly recommend. I can't even express how thankful I am that my fiancé and I found Dr. James Dunlap!My fur baby Allie Moo had a horrible upper respiratory infection when she was a kitten on the streets so she now is always congested/boogery. It's not contagious to cats with good immune systems. I have had vets tell me it's FIV, bordetella or just strait up she's not healthy and happy and to put her down. She was tested for everything and all was negative. Dr. Dunlap was able to explain to us that when kittens have such bad URIs that it can damage their nasal passages making them forever congested and just to monitor it and if it gets bad to come get a prescription otherwise she is healthy and happy.He is always so thorough with his check ups.. VERY! He is just THE BEST and does not try to sell procedures and medicines if they're unnecessary. I trust him and he is amazing! Read Less

They are such a great place to take your pet. We had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Linda and she was wonderful with our American Bulldog. She truly loves what she does and it shows by her love for the pets. I wouldn't want to take our dog anywhere else.Read Less

These people really care. It's unfortunate that I have to move. I hope the vet in the area I'm moving to is as nice as the people who work here. Your pets are in good hands. I have been coming here for the past 10 years. I highly recommend them for your vet needs. Update: they are beyond kind. I had to put my dear dog down, and they sent me a card expressing their deepest sympathies and even gave me my old buddies paw prints. It means a lot to me when people do that. Central Vet is the only place I will take my pets to. They are honest, kind, gentle, patient, and they LOVE all fur-babies, or slithering snakes, etc. Dr. Bruno is awesome, and I especially appreciate the extra love and kindness from Erica Soltero, one of the vet techs there! Read Less

Usually I'm met with more than competent techs and vets when I take my dog. Every now and again you'll get a vet that wants to push some product on you but overall it's a good place to take your pet. The staff is knowledgeable and caring - two traits that mean a lot to me when I look for a Veterinary Hospital. Read Less

Never take your pets here. From the first time I went in. Wrong diagnosis. They tell me my cat has been biting my other cat. Didn't happen. I changed my cat's food to higher quality food and the skin lesions went away. So I am assuming it was a food allergy. Dr. Dunlap says no way was it a skin allergy. Paid the bill. Brought my older cat in for a respiratory infection for last year and a half that wouldn't seem to clear up. He was put on a general antibiotic a couple times. I asked if he could be checked for herpes. He said only at a special clinic. Said cat didn't need a specialist. My cat was also vomiting. He said he did senior panel bloodwork. Said bloodwork was all good. Failed to mention they skipped the thyroid. So when my cat got sicker, I take him back. Then I find out of course hes fighting infection but his thyroid is off. Thanks for missing that. But no meds sent home. So i go in to get a copy of bloodwork so I can take him to emergency and I give them a bad review on yelp. My cat passed on Oct 23 stopped eating had to put him down...they sent me records after they found my bad yelp review sying go find a new vet..well my other cat is really sick now because i had brought him in for labwork and he is a kidney cat and former feral rhsy knew this and hand me back cat say all done and let me figure on my own no urine sample taken...so then after arguing with receptionist tell me pick up litter to suck urine up for sample how can I you kicked me out as patient duh...last nite my cat went to emergency vet protein in urine now on kd spscial diet I asked Dr Dunlap for he recommends opposite feed high protein he said now my cat is on his way out second cat down...oh did I mention other cat no urine sample yet charged me for it...I asked nicely for refund they laughed at me...really.Read Less

My pets have always received excellent care at this vet hospital which I have been taking my pets to since I was a kid. From rats to dogs they have always received excellent care. I just took my dog here to get his teeth cleaned and his nails trimmed and it went very well. Read Less
