This is a great office. The staff is friendly and efficient. They open at 9 which is difficult for my work schedule but I wouldn't trade them for an office that open earlier. Dr. Clem is great and does not use the appointment to make money off you. She also does not push for unnecessary things or putting your pet under for small surgeries. I'm rating one star because it used to be a very good clinic when it first started out. We have been with then over 15 years. Now today it is horrible. The new staff is so unprofessional that they lost a patient today. I guess they forgot I was sitting in the office waiting over 30 minutes to be seen. The staff was making fun of the people walking in. The staff was also boasting and bragging about how they were going to tell people rude comments with a smile. It was unbelievable. The person(s) you speak to on the phone has completely different prices from what is told when you get in there. All I have to say is they are ruining Dr. Khan's reputation. Have been going here for 8 years, the doctors have been very good for the most part, the problem here is the women working the front desk are very rude, disrespectful & lazy!  So much that I am looking for a new vet.  I will not go back there and put up with their rude attitude.  Hopefully one of the doctors sees this post and understands that they are loosing patients because of the women the women they have working the front desk. I have been going to ,All Creatures, for a little over 4 years now. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr.Khan , the other vets and staff. Dr.Khan handles my horses in a kind ,professional manner, my dogs and cats as well . I have never been made to feel like a "cheap" , or irresponsible owner, with my horse or any other animals that I bring here. All Creatures is always kind an considerate of any budgets or money issues I might be having and do their best to work with the situation as it presents itself. We LOVE All Creatures!  We have been going here for over 15 years.  We love our special needs animals and the Doc and Staff at All Creatures have been great!  Not only is the staff the best, they are reasonably priced and don't super up charge on medication.  At one point we lived in Hanford and would drive into Fresno to All Creatures.   There is no way to say enough great things about them.   You can't go wrong by taking your pets / furry children here! I've been with All Creatures for at least fifteen years.  Richard Kahn is an excellent vet, and I hope he is my vet for many years to come.  Lots of people feel that way, and as a result he's a hard guy to get to.  I fully understand this, but it's hard to deal with.  What I mean is that he is very busy and has a staff that is supposed to deal with his clients unless it's a dire situation and you insist on dealing only with him.  He's human, and just one guy.  For long term clients like myself it's a hassle to have to deal with the newer staff that ask you to explain yourself and sometimes don't know who you are.  I liked the good old days when everyone there treated me like I was "special" and bent over backwards for me. Alas, that's life folks.  Some of the old staff (Dawn, Trina) are there and I prefer to talk to them, but over the years there are lots of new faces and sure, some are far more pleasant than others.  I've been through a lot with this office, I breed and show dogs AND have horses and other livestock.  So I'm patient with the staff, and I'm still overall very pleased.  Prices have gone up some over the years, but so has their overhead.  Dr Shaw and the other Dr's I've encountered there are very capable and good.  Unless I really need Dr Kahn for an issue, I don't insist on an appointment only with him because I know he's busy and the others are very capable.  They do NOT upsell here, trying to sell you unnecessary products or services.  That's huge in this industry.  Overall I only gave four stars because it is busy and I've had situations where I couldn't get an appointment and really needed one with an animal's life at risk.  In the old days I would get a appointment no matter what, but as I said- it's an extremely popular, busy practice. My family has been taking our animals to All Creatures for the last 15 years.  Now that I'm married and have pets of my own, I won't go to any other vet.  Recently, both of my cats had to have surgery.  I was a typical cat mom..  I called All Creatures multiple times during the day to check up on my babies (I know, it's a little ridiculous but I couldn't help it).  The ladies at the front were super nice and understanding.  When I went to pick up my cats, we found out one of them had to stay an extra night.  The ladies were kind enough to let me see him and make sure he was okay.  All Creatures went above and beyond.  Not only are the staff and Veterinarians amazing, but their pricing is so reasonable.  I would definitely recommend All Creatures Veterinary Clinic. I will have to agree with other reviewers about the front desk staff. Some can be rude and not helpful. We had to bring our dog in for a booster and the lady said she had no appointments available because she "assumed" we only wanted late appointments. Anyway, luckily the front desk staff aren't the ones who take care of my dogs...The vets and vet techs are amazing. My dog (who is my absolute love!) was diagnosed with parvo at the age of 2. We took him to an emergency vet because it was after hours and the tech there was horrible. I sobbed and sobbed and sobbed because of the way she made me feel about my sick dog. After bringing him in to All Creatures the next day, they made me feel so much better. The treatment was at home care with subcutaneous fluids and antibiotics. They didn't feel the need to treat him there if we were willing to do the treatment ourselves. Plus, my dog hates leaving my side so I wouldn't want to stress him out even more. Long story short, this place takes good care of their patients and I would recommend them to anyone considering this vet. They are very inexpensive, caring, and knowledgeable. I have always had good service at All Creatures, but the time I really needed them they let me down.  Let me down at my lowest, with no compassion or empathy. The day was a horrible, one I can hardly get out of my mind.  I was on my way home from work and pulled into the drive as I always do, I just didn't see her lying there. I ran over our 19 year old family cat Shelby.  All of these years always there to greet me, this time she crawled out from under my car, mortally injured.  I immediately ran over to her aid, it was bad, I broke her hip, leg and squished her beyond repair.  I immediately asked my daughter to drive to drive me to All Creatures, while my wife called ahead, it was just before 6 pm when I arrived.  I took her in and was immediately told they could not help me as the Vets had gone home for the day.  They told me I had to go down to the pet emergency room miles away.  You have to understand I was still in shock, my daughter crying...I was unbelievable.  The girls in the office offered no help at all, Shebly's urine and blood staining my shirt. I had to practically beg for help for any type of assistance, I asked again and the answer was still the same, finally asked if they could call the vet back in.  Finally one of the girls said they would see what they could do.  Moments later the young lady came back in and took Shelby back to examine her.  She asked if I ran over her on accident. "Really"?  While she was being examined, I asked for a towel to clean up.  I think they were under the impression "I" wanted to clean up, finally I saw the paper towels and started mopping up the blood and urine off of the floor.  After a short time the Vet came in and told me that she had a broken hip, leg and other internal damage (we already knew what had to be done).  I recommended putting her down.  I am a paying customer who was in good standing, always paying my bills up front, never a problem.  When my wife called ahead the lead receptionist was rude to her as well.  I came back in last week to pick up Shelby's ashes and asked to talk to a manager, nobody was available. I real kicker, there were two Vets in the office when I first arrived with Shelby, the one that help us and the one that walked out the door as I was paying my bill.  I understand it was late in the day and an emergency at 6pm, but I wasn't asking for charity, just mercy and understanding.  I am the one that has to live with myself for my mistake.  I hope All Creatures can learn from this as well.A. I can't speak highly enough of All Creatures Vet Hospital. Dr. Kahn is my personal favorite - he is technically extremely skilled and also generates a deep love and compassion for all animals. If tests are needed, they recommend them. That said, I have never felt as though they are running tests as a revenue enhancement. They are very practical and their prices are more than reasonable. I consider them as an extension of my family and they have shared from the beginning of life through the end with several of my dogs and cats. It's unfortunate that they have to refer to other veterinarian hospital's because they don't have room for more patients. But I'm pleased that they don't take on so many patients that they lose the caring factor. I have never felt like a number and my pets are known there by name. The girls at the front desk need a serious attitude adjustment. If it weren't for the awesome doctors and nurses behind the scenes and the convenient location I definitely wouldn't return. I can't see how somebody would think its okay to talk almost down to people the way they do, especially when most of us are already in a fragile state upon arrival. I went here on a recommendation after my vet in Madera wanted to charge me $900+ for my cats dental extractions. All Creatures is very economical, at least compared to the 2 vets in Madera, I don't know how it is in comparison to other Fresno vets, so if anyone has a recommendation let me know. Any way, her dental work ended up being $280 plus $140 for blood work and check up, cheaper than my other vet. I like the prices, but not the way check up visits are conducted. I've now had 2 cats have check ups with 2 different doctors and visits last about 5 minutes. I get this is a busy and popular vet, but I would feel better with a bit more through visit, I felt like I wasn't given the opportunity to ask questions because the vets were so fast, they didn't even look in my cats ears or eyes like my other vet would. I would continue to go here since procedures are more affordable but I wish I felt like they cared more about my pets. I'm new to Fresno so I saw them cause they are right by my apartment. The 2nd time I called and the person that answered just didn't seem so nice over the phone. Best vet in town! We have a large cat family (6 sweet kitties) we get the best care at all creatures. Not truly a rating as I am a vet at ACVC. Just want to respond to the criticisms of when we need to refer clients elsewhere. I apologize for when this doesn't seem kind, but we try hard to balance the work load for our employees so that they get home to families on time with our desire to help as many folks and animals as possible. Add to these competing interests that we want to have time to do a great job for our existing clients. We sacrifice income to treat everyone we can as best we can. All that being said I apologize to folks that we haven't been able to help. I couldn't ask for a better place to take my pet. These folks truly love animals and want to help in any way possible. They have never been rood, and as far as not taking new patients, that happens unfortunately when you have a great establishment. All Creatures has cared for both our dogs for...about a year now? No complaints. The care is wonderful, the costs are about half of what we paid at our previous vet, and it's in a convenient location for us. I trust them with our dogs. A lot of people have mentioned that All Creatures is usually full so the office might tell you they are not taking new patients. This is true. It took us a while to get in with them. They don't keep a waiting list, so you need to keep trying them, and they will tell you how often or what times of day to try.  At one point they told me to call every week. Then another time they told me to call every day at a certain time of day. Whatever they tell you might depend on how soon they think you can get in if you want. Just do what they say!If you follow their requested procedures, and are willing to take the first appointment (i.e., for a meet and greet when your pet isn't sick), it's worth it to get your pet in with such a good vet. I would not recommend waiting till your pet is sick and then trying to get in, because it might usually take months. Good luck. Read Less

We have been going to Dr. Kahn for at least twenty years. Starting with our horses, then dogs, cats and bird. The staff is caring and understanding. My daughter's cat was very ill. We ended up having him put to sleep but while he was in the hospital they would let my daughter stay with him as they had never part. When we made the decision we stayed for as long as we wanted...... it was the same with my old cat and dog... never rushing us or trying to hurry us. We got cards from the vets and staff. This is the best vet office you will ever find. Trust me. I have 4 dogs and 2 cats and I've been to several over the years. They are knowledgeable, affordable, always super friendly, and have the utmost respect for their customers. I called this office on a Friday at 9:30 a.m. and requested an appointment. I had been there twice with another animal in 2007. I was given a 3:00 p.m. appointment that day. The doctor was very kind and interested in my dog. We discussed a treatment plan within my budget. My wife and I have been going to All Creatures forever. They are the best! They do not overcharge for RX and they really do care. Our dog got hit by a car on a holiday weekend and they rushed into the office late at night to help our little girl. She did not make it but they were great through the whole ordeal. We have / had several special needs dogs and have been or currently under their care. We would drive from Hanford just to have them take care of our kids! Read Less

NO STARS!!! ABSOLUTELY, HORRIBLY RUDE!!! I was told by my cat sitter, their senior vet tech, that as SOP, they ALWAYS tell people they are NOT taking new patients!!! Guess their business is booming in these hard times and they do not need new clients. HOWEVER, I was also told by my cat sitter that if I told them I was referred by someone in-house, that they would take me. Then, I was put on hold 3 times and then hung up on!!!See a few other reviews who agree with my experience:What a DISAPPOINTMENT. Saw really good ratings on here and decided to bring my cat to get checked out and for regular shots. I can understand that you are not accepting new patients BUT you DO NOT HAVE TO BE RUDE about it. Staff are RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL. I don't like to say anything bad about anybody but people deserve to know the kind of treatment they will get. I was recommended by a friend to this place. I was looking around with low hopes of being happy, since I left my vets due to constant dissatisfaciton. I have been a fur mom for a long time and this place gives me hope that there are still amazing Vets out there I have had a few in the past, but here the entire staff is loving and the Doctor's are knowledgeable and caring beyond belief. Their are lots of Vet offices that have staff that are not the most pleasant or competent or Doctors who dont really have a clue other than what the text book taught them. I have to say this place is well rounded and unique. They also sell Solid Gold...Yay....Holisitc...I was so impressed. Finally a Vet who knows nutrition. I know where I will be taking my fur kids from now on. This is a place I actaully want to go. Highly recommend. If you have pets, this is the place. Also, am I the only one with V.P.I pet insurance? While I am at it go to V.P.I "veterinary Pet Insurance. com and get it. I have saved a lot of money on this. You pay up front at they reimberse you for what your plan covers and it is great. BUt, I dont recommend getting the dental plan, I have the major medical 100 and they just payed for my dogs teeth cleaning and I dont have dental on it. I think you spend more on insurance paying the dental unless you actually really need it. But most people dont. Dr. Kahn was so helpful and honest. My dog has a partially torn ligament in her knee and instead of pushing an expensive surgery on me, they checked her out and gave me some steps to take to see if she'll improve on her own first. I was lied to by another vet as far as the severity and cost and it was a blessing to go somewhere that cares about my pets health and future as much as i do.
