I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. The exam rooms that my pet was in were dirty. The employee who looked at my dog didn't seem to know what she was doing. I don't know if she was a dr or not. Unnecessary tests were ordered. $550 vet bill with no inkling of what was wrong with my pet. I only used this vet because it was a Sunday and both of the offices I would ordinarily use were closed. These people seem to be in business for the $$. I'm very happy with my experience so far. I brought my cat in to be seen as an "emergency" due to lethargic behavior and excessive drooling. I'm my opinion, my cat need help now! I did not have an appointment but I did call before to make sure we could be seen. I was told on the phone the wait could be an hour, however, we waited only 15 minutes! The day worked out for us! My dog had a swollen eye on one side of his face. We repeated several times to the vet and staff that we believed it was a tumor because we have had other pets who have had similar tumors in the past. Instead they believed it to be a bacterial infection which after google searching images it looks like the same type. However after approximately $2000+ worth of two surgeries and SEVERAL follow up appointments my dogs eye DID NOT get better. Today we went in for our LAST appointment for the vets to now tell us that the bump could indeed be a tumor. TERRIBLE customer service. LOUSY staff. Our 8 year old chihuahua had some swelling on the right side of his nose and neck yesterday. He was a bit lethargic and wasn't acting himself, so we knew we had to have him looked at right away! With it being the weekend, we knew we had to either take him to pet ER, wait until Monday to take him to our usual vet, or find a place that was open on Sundays. Since we we were really worried, we opted to find a vet that was open on Sundays. After some research on the internet, we found this place.I have to say upon reading where the location was, I was a bit worried because as some have noted, it's not on the best side of town. This was definitely a case of not judging a book by its cover! We called as soon as they opened this morning and was able to make an appointment in the afternoon. Once we got there, the staff was very nice and welcoming. The waiting room is a bit outdated, but it was roomy and clean. Our appointment was at 2:00 and we were seen about half an hour later. We didn't wait too long in the waiting room for the vet and she was friendly and efficient. After examining our little guy, she determined that he must have gotten bitten by something. She recommended that he get a steroid shot for the swelling. It was $36 for the shot and since it was our first visit to the office, we got a COMPLIMENTARY visit worth $42!!! You can find this coupon on their website as well, but we didn't even need it. I am so glad we took a chance and took or little furbaby here. The people at the Cedar veterinary hospital found a litter of abandoned kittens behind their building a few years ago... they took them all in and took great care of them. Emergency or first appointment are seen quick. Following appointments you will wait an hour or more pet sick, dying. My dog has vomiting violent dark blood diarrhea parvo, we waited in the waiting room with everyone for an hour ridiculous. this after my 2000$ bill I paid day before for 48 hr stay. Rude staff that act knowledgeable but google helped more. They only want your money. Gain your trust with 1st appointment then screw you by taking advantage of your pets condition. The vets are great but everyone else is just trying to hustle a bunch of expensive product and extra work that you didn't come in for. Don't let them sell you $70 flea stuff. Make an appointment to pick up your pet or you will wait forever even though they say to come in whenever. These people were very rude and uncaring that my sister in laws dog was dying in front of her and they didn't want to help at all!!! They just want money!! Their manager was very rude!! It's all about money to these people ..dont take your pets here because they don't care about your pet or what's better for them and only your want money! I love the staff. They are kind and caring, and are very good about taking notes. The problem I have is the constant fear tactics before they show you your estimates. My husband darn near went into an anxiety attack with all the possible problems our kitty MIGHT have, according to the doctor. Then they brought in this page long estimate covering just about every sort of preemptive procedure they could think of. I am glad I had not been made upset by the doctor, so I could tell them no on several procedures that I, frankly, thought were completely useless given our situation. When the doctor came back with a diagnoses, he also said I could be a few other things, but felt very definitively about what it was. It still didn't stop the vet tech to come back in and once again try to add additional tests "just to make sure." Again, they are good on how they handle the animals, and my kitty is now doing much better thanks to their help. I'm just not sure how they sleep at night, trying to take advantage of folks who are worried about their furry companions. Great place, they except walk ins and have great hours! Staff is super friendly and will do what they can to make you and your pet comfortable. They even called me the next morning just to check up on my animal! Although I do recommend having some kind of pet insurance... I did ask for no medication and they still gave it to me and still had me take it home causing me to pay $150 more then planned but I am just glad my cat is alive and feeling better. I had a recent appointment this week for my dog who had some inflammation in his ear. I called a day in advance to set up an appointment but I still waited about an hour and a half for my dog to be seen. The staff was very friendly and my vet, Dr. Madsen was great with my dog and seemed knowledgeable in his area. They were very busy and it looks like they take their time and are patient with every client. While the wait was longer than I'd hoped for, I got the medication and treatment my dog needed for his infection. My total was just under 200 and I think that is fair compared to what I've heard from other vet hospitals. Read Less

Cedar hospital is caring. My English Bull Dog was born at Cedar 10 years ago. She lived beyond her years and Cedar was very thoughtful and shown genuine love for her.The care Cedar had given her over the years had extended her life which ended peacefully 3 months ago.
