I don't own a pet and am not a patient. I did use their restroom a while back and just wanted to write a nice review as a thank you because I was not a patient and they still let me use their restroom. My dog (Claire) has had an enlarged heart now for a couple years. She has been on numerous medications and there finally came a time where the lasik just quit working. She was filling upwith fluids in her belly and I was having my vet drain her fluids with a needle and syringe. My vet had to have her heavily sedated as she would fight them putting the needle in her (one time the needle actually ripped her skin). As she continued to fill with the fluids, I was out of town visiting my folks and decided to go see Dr Scheidt as she was my vet in Fresno before I moved to the Bay Area. Not only did she and her amazing staff not have to sedate her, they removed more fluids than the previous vet without having to have sedated her. They said their approach is a bit different than other vets. What I found after having this done several times with Sierra View Animal Hospital is that Dr Scheidt and her staff, have a care for their animals that I have never experience before. They are in this for the right reasons. To give your pet the best quality care they possibly can. Unfortunately the time came on Friday when I had to put my precious Claire down. Dr Scheidt and her staff helped me make the right decision based on Claire's condition. I cannot say enough about the quality of service that I received from Sierra View Animal Hospital. Although I live in the Bay Area, I will make the drive to Fresno to have my next pet receive the best quality of service that SVAH provides. Dr. Scheidt is the best doctor to go to! She is very friendly, helpful, and incredibly knowledgeable. She saved my puppy's life. We did not know that he'd swallowed a needle, but she recognized the signs of an obstruction and I am so thankful! The procedure to remove the pincushion needle from his rectum was performed skillfully by her, and he had no complications after. I have been nothing but impressed by this clinic. After my last two Labradors died from the parvo virus last year at other vet clinics in town, I'm not exactly the easiest or most trusting customer when it comes to my new dogs. Doctor Scheidt has turned out to be everything she was advertised to be: knowledgeable, professional, and very caring. Her staff are incredible too. Not only do I feel like my dogs are being cared for, but they don't make me sit around and wait for hours past my appointment time...I walk in with my dogs, and they are seen. If any of you have experienced showing up at a vet's office, only to sit around and wait for 30 minutes to an hour (or more) because they are probably double or triple booking clients, you'll appreciate just how peaceful (and professional) it is to have your animals seen quickly. I brought my dog here on the recommendation of a good friend after our former vet insisted on repeatedly referring to our other dog as "It" the day we had to have her put down. It took everything I had not to strangle that loser. Anyway... Nobody refers to my dog by anything other than her name here and they treat her like she's the best dog to ever grace this earth. Of course I know they treat every animal this way but isn't that the point? Don't you want a Veterinarian who treats your furry family member with the same compassion, tenderness, and genuine concern for well being as they would treat their own?  If your answer is "Yes!" then don't hesitate to take your pets here. Dr Stephanie Scheidt is the most caring vet I know, and she takes pride in taking care of your pet! I have known Stephanie for many years and I have to say without a doubt she is one of the hardest working veterinary surgeons that I know. Dr. Scheidt and staff took amazing care of our baby girl today. Our little lab pup, Charlotte, had to have her back leg removed due cancer that she had since birth. She is already walking but in a bit of pain and uncomfortable to say the least. Praying that her recovery is quick and without complication. We just moved to Fresno from Chicago with a 4 month old puppy with chronic health problems. We called to set up care and they got us in the next day. Prices are competitive and service is off the charts, so I'd say it's a great deal. Dr. Scheidt always speaks to us as if we are a team and it's group decision making. You would not believe the quality of service this vet has to offer! Everybody who has a furry best friend in their life knows how important a pet's well being is, and when my dog got injured and couldn't eat nor stop shaking from pain, this vet was the first place on my mind. At first, we called for an appointment that we had to cancel, and were only treated kindly despite the inconvenience we likely caused. I called back the next day and was offered 3 different times to bring her in, of which I picked the latest.According to my nature, I arrived about half an hour early for my appointment. The vet was able to see me sooner because I had been so prompt. Not only were the two assistants extremely kind and gentle with my dog when they were doing her intake, they treated her just like she was their own dog! Even better, the doctor came in with a winning smile, gave my dog a ton of love, and listened to her symptoms while attending to her. She offered some great advice on getting her to eat again and a much less expensive option to help her get better rather than surgery and x-rays.Perhaps one of the best features for this vet is that they'll offer you a statement for a low end cost and a high end cost for the visit, with prices listed out for all the services they can provide. Since I was low on money at the time, I was able to opt just for the check-up fee ($50, not bad in my opinion), and they offered to let me call back if I chose to get her pain prescription in the future, no extra cost. We've been taking our dogs to Sierra View for about 3 years now, and they've given quality, positive service each time. I highly recommend taking your pets here if they need any medical services. Best Vet in the area! Always attentive to me and my pet, Stoney. Stoney was Dr.'s oldest patient, until she had to put him down when I could no longer care for him. He was 13 almost 14. We have taken our 2 Rhodesian Ridgebacks to several different local vets. Our female has had urinary incontinence issues for some time and after many tests/cultures/exams at another local vet, we still had no solution. First visit to see Dr. Scheidt and I was impressed. She seemed extremely knowledgable, was very personable, is obviously very intelligent, and was able to immediately set a treatment plan using treatments that hadn't even been suggested elsewhere. After starting my female on the recommended medication, she almost immediately stopped urinating uncontrolled as she had been before. I would highly recommend this veterinarian!! Read Less
