The staff was the best! I brought my baby over just a few min after she was run over, everyone there showed sympathy, concern, care and compassion. They gave me details of everything that was going on step by step, very honest and kind. After my baby passed they gave us all of the time we needed to process our loss, they were very polite and professional. We even received a sympathy card with my babies paws printed . Horrible horrible place. Took my dog here because my neighbors dog attacked her and shredded her arms down to the bone. She couldn't walk, was a bloody mess and in horrible pain. Vet wanted $3500 to fix her. We told the vet we couldn't afford that and asked them to put her down out of her misery. THE VET REFUSED!!! Told us to take her somewhere cheaper if we couldn't afford their service. Um wow....what kind of vet sends a dog away in this condition and tries to force you to pay for surgery that you CAN'T AFFORD? This place makes me sick. Read Less

We went to this ER after going to two other already overcrowded places. Our cat has a bad respiratory infection and was sneezing blood. The vet, tech, and receptionist were all super nice people. When they told us all the stuff that they wanted to do for our cat, I was expecting it to be several hundred dollars of work. It was much cheaper than I expected! We took our Family dog here she was very sick.The Staff and Doctors were very good to our family Explain all our questions. And let us spend all the time we wanted with our Furbaby so she would not be alone I got to hold her until she passed. This is literally the best vet clinic/ER I've been to between several cities that I've lived in with my dog of 15 years. Personable, kind, friendly staff make you and your pet feel so welcome, cared for and safe. Dr. Moore, Dr. MacKie, Heather, Kary, Marguerite and the rest of the team have a really good thing going here. Consults and visits include long discussions about your pet, their condition and recovery, as well as answering any questions you may have. You're left feeling well taken care of and they really have a gentle way with animals! My dog is a tough customer, he fights back when he's scared, but he just melts in Heather's arms when he gets a test or an X-Ray. An all around good vibe at VES comprised of caring professionals and a strong customer base made up of people who really love their animals! We had a furbaby named Lanie who had bad asthma almost her whole life. We had to take her to VES a few times over her life to get some oxygen when her regular meds just weren't helping and each time they were wonderful with her and so caring. I always had confidence in the doctors there too and it's not always that way with doctors, human or animal, but in my experiences with the doctors at VES it was. Lanie was our baby for 16 years, but on June 1st she started breathing funny and it wasn't asthma. Dr. Stickland was our doctor that night and she was so compassionate towards us and Lanie. We had to make the decision no pet parents wants to make, and let Lanie go to heaven. I am happy that we were able to make that decision with information from vets we had trusted over the years, so at least we can greive knowing we did the best thing for her. My husband rushed our puppy there last week at midnight. Staff was awesome and kept us in the loop of what was happening. I want to tell every one what a wonderful staff they have here. So caring and kind. I had to take my 14 year old dog in and have him put to sleep. I had a panic attack and one of the girls who works there gave me a hug and tried to calm me down. The crying was uncontrolable. Heather, the girl who works here, was so nice and actually had tears in her eyes. They made me feel special and I will never forget that and the special way they treated my Bailey with such gentle kindness. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
