Since I was in the market for pets earlier this year, I started talking to people about their own, and would often ask them which veterinarians they used. Some got mixed reviews, but the name Waterhouse kept popping up. It's not too far from home, so when I got my two kittens in April, I decided to register them here. We've had a couple visits now - the first time for boosters, and again today for further vaccinations before they go into boarding for a wee vacation. Both times they were very helpful on the phone to make appointments. There are two entrances, one for cats and exotics, and another for dogs. I appreciate the division since it keeps the kittens feeling safe and at ease. The receptionists are super friendly and accommodating, and when I went today a few different staff members checked to make sure we'd been taken care of after we checked in. On both visits we were seen right on our appointment time. Cats are seen in a private room and the vets are happy to let them explore and have a good sniff at them and their instruments, they really keep them at ease. The assistants taking vitals and the veterinarians themselves are all communicative and friendly. Full disclosure: one of the vets is a friend of mine; but the other was equally as professional. All of them have been very gentle with the kittens and made small talk and asked some questions to get to know them as well as asking relevant questions about their health. They also reassured me that they have a good relationship with Elaine's Pet Resort, where they'll be staying soon, and that they're on call to help out if they have any problems there.I have heard this practice is on the expensive side. I have no basis for comparison, but the vaccination prices have added up a bit - it was around $115 for both of them to get their distemper boosters, and another $180ish today to get rabies and leukemia vaccines along with exams and a couple of deworming pills. At the moment, though, I have no reason to want to change to another veterinary surgery, I feel that my kittens are in very safe hands. Read Less
