This is a long over due review. We have been taking our furbabies to Dr. Toledo for over 10 years. He is an amazing, kind, animal lover vet. He has an incredible staff who have been with him for years. He has an office in Anaheim that is open weekends and early mornings. We have referred neighbors and friends. We would NEVER go to anyone but Dr. Toledo and his 2 offices. Also affordable. Read Less

I had a foster puppy I was supposed to take to Aspen to be spayed as per instructions from the rescue I volunteered with. I called and made the appointment for the following Monday. When I got home from an adoption event on Saturday, my son told me Aspen had called and changed the appointment to Wednesday. Really? They rescheduled my appointment without explanation or checking with me to see if I would be able to bring her that day? I called back and asked what happened to the appointment we had agreed upon. The woman rudely told me it was because they were going to have an emergency on Monday.  Say what??? They plan emergencies days in advance??? In the end, I brought the puppy to my own vet and paid for the spay myself. It just wasn't acceptable to be jerked around by these people. I believe I was being treated poorly because I was with a rescue and the rescue gets a discount. They obviously see the discount as their license to treat people disrespectfully and without consideration. And if they treat rescue people that badly, how badly are they treating the rescue animals - or any of the animals, for that matter? Read Less

I took my kitten in for deworming medicine and asked if she had earmites. The vet kept calling her a "him," which isn't a big problem, although I kept correcting him. Then he shoved a q-tip in her ear and she hissed. Her ear was folded down and irritated for an hour after I got home. He said "You're cat seems to have a problem with me, I don't know why." I'm sorry, sir, if my kitten doesn't like strange men stabbing her in the ear. Then he acted frightened of her and asked me to put the deworming medicine in her mouth. I told him I didn't know how, and he said he was afraid she was going to scratch him. Uh, don't they train you for this? What exactly am I paying you for? When he finally put the medicine in her mouth, he jumped back. She didn't even move. The grown man couldn't even handle a 8 month old kitten. Not only that, but he injured her. Usually, when I take my pet to the veterinarian, I don't expect to bring her home in worse condition than when she entered the place. Read Less
