Vca Tri City Animal Hospital

Fullerton, California
General Info
Vca Tri City Animal Hospital starts pet care through comfort windows with phased diagnostics and noise-conscious treatment schedules to Californian homes. It does not start where we usually think it starts (with completing the paperwork). Instead, they observe these animals’ entrance behavior such as hesitation, circling, vocalization or weight anchoring at the doorway. The clinic observes how the patients respond; hence, it can either quickly triage them to access the systems or pace them slowly and quietly in case of stress. Physical assessments target areas such as body balance, ear tension, skin warmth, hydration level, fur texture, oral response, breath pattern, and handling resistance. Owner feedback is the foundation of all diagnostics—positions during sleep, seasonal behavior changes, appetite shifts, or novel avoidance patterns establish an initial medical conversation. VCA Tri City Animal Hospital offers a wide array of veterinary services, such as wellness examinations, emergency care, geriatric mapping, weight stabilization programs, and pain indexing. Services can be broken up into multiple visits for pets that do better with shorter activity periods. Some people find it effective to have a full day, staggered schedule with breaks in-between. The model’s design prevents families from subjecting animals to repeated trauma through noises, surgical pain, and past fears. The post-visit phase also includes guides to body language for patients’ use and a scale of feelings for the patients to practice at home. Owners need to adjust their daily schedules and activities, as well as how they interact with the dog, during the post-care decompression phase. Hence, follow-ups are scheduled not based on set timeframes but on the behavioral readiness of the client. VCA Tri City Animal Hospital offers veterinary services to pet families in Fullerton and surrounding California communities through a unique healing rhythm that supports the physical recovery and emotional balance of pets while maintaining high clinical accuracy. The team provides specialized services such as allergy testing, avian (bird) care, behavioral counseling, bloodwork, and boarding. Clients commend the practice for its dedication and the individualized attention it extends to their pets. Whether it’s a routine checkup or surgery, the clinic ensures that your pet gets the best possible treatment and care.

Horrible experience, very unprofessional with zero urgency to administer medical attention to our pet. They took over 5 hours before they decided to treat our very in pain and distressed pet, opting to take walk-in vaccinations during those 5 hours on perfectly healthy dogs instead of administrating the urgent medical care our pet needed. We brought our pet in around 8am and they didn't treat her until around 1pm or 1:30pm and that's only because we demanded an update which they scrambled to do. The only reason we went here is because our normal vet didn't open until 10am and this happened around 7am. We will NEVER go to this place again! I would give it negative stars if I could. I hope other pet owners read this review so their pets don't suffer too. Read Less

I brought my mothers dog whitey in (as my mother is a care giver for a Vietnam Veteran that had to be rushed to the hospital) whitey had blood in his stool front desk staff said they were fully booked but would ask doctor to fit in. While I was waiting for an answer a family walked in said 1st time here we need a heartworm shot for roxy, the dog was taken in quickly with out delay no walk in fee charged. The staff returned and demaned $75.00 walk in fee in advance. Why?, do I have to pay 75 bucks up front but others don't. We don't even know whats wrong yet and I'm assuming it will probably cost more than $75.00 it always dose. It is so inconveinient having clients pay 2 seperate times. Thats not the wrost part. I agreed to the inconveiniance of being charged two times instead of once, I asked staff to call my mother's cell on file with this office and get her credit card information. Staff refused said we don't do that. I have to pay cash if I want help for whitey right now. I decided to leave and seek help elsewhere. Afterwards I spoke to my mother. That's balloney my mom said they charge me over the phone all the time. Whitey is sick and all Tri City Pet Hospital cares about is getting their money up front. I did not feel welcome here nor were we treeted well. Don't come here this place killed my bird many years ago when it first opened. Back then they wanted me to pay up front before telling me he had died. It's a bad deal here. Read Less

This shout out is long over due and I apologize for not doing it sooner. There has been a lot to deal with since Teddy and I came home but not a day has gone by that I have not thought about posting this. This goes out to Tri-City Pet Hospital. On November 26th I walked into your hospital with Teddy and asked for a place for him to stay. On that day you were all strangers to both of us however that quickly changed. You became our everyday angels. The care and attention you gave Teddy at times brought me to tears. During a time I needed to be reminded that people are still good and kind, you did that every day. There were many days that going to see Teddy and seeing all of you was my only joy, my only comfort. It was a dark and uncertain time for both of us. Dr. Jung and Dr. Rodriguez, both of whom are very bright and very kind Dr.s, created a medical baseline for Teddy and because of that, I learned new things about him; information that will be important moving forward. Your staff gave Teddy an endless supply of love and affection. He came home a different cat and I attribute those changes to all of you. He's working very hard on becoming a lap cat and he's found that he can take up 3/4 of the bed and that's okay. He went into that kitty condo a sweet laid back cat and came out a kitty who is bonded and attached. I will be forever grateful for the generosity of heart and spirit shown by every single staff member to both Teddy and I. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you.Read Less

I came here because my regular vet was closed for the day. Dr. Jung is condescending and lacks any sort of "bedside manner". When I suggested what I thought the issue was, I was told that could not possibly be the issue. Waited much too long to be given an insanely padded quote for treatment w/several shots, etc. that were unnecessary and completely unrelated to why I was there. I will never bring one of my animals here for treatment again. UPDATE: Went to my regular vet. The total cost there was less than half what I was quoted at Tri-City despite usually costing a little more than most. The issue was what I thought it to be, despite being dismissed by Jung. Worst experience I have ever had with a vet. Steer clear of this place. Read Less

I love Tri City Pet Hospital. I've been taking my chihuahua here since he was 4 months old (he's now 10 years old!) and they've taken such good care of him. They have a beautiful and very clean facility. They give great one on one service. I've never had a problem making an appointment & they never leave me waiting longer than a couple of minutes for appointments. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. I get postcard reminders of vaccines my little one needs every year. Whenever my little one has any procedure or anything done, they always call to follow up & see how he's doing. I love their concern & attention. My favorite is Dr. Rodriguez; he has great bedside manner and is always very patient & gentle. He is also thorough but rational with his diagnosis of problems. Even though it's a 30 minute drive for me and they're a little more expensive than an average, smaller vet, I will continue to use Tri City because they're the best and definitely worth it.

Read Less

The people here are amazing. My dog has needed multiple surgeries and the procedure went perfectly each time. They are pricey but they will work with you and give you options on what you want to pay for. I move to Long Beach and I still drive out here to see them. They are great for the more serious medical stuff and helping your dog in any way possible, but the vaccines are a little expensive so don't feel bad if you want to go to a clinic for those.Read Less

Read Less

I've tried many vets around the city of Fullerton, and Tri-City Pet Hospital has been my best experience yet. They practice good medicine here. Not to mention they saved my dear pet's life when he accidentally ingested rat poison. Thank goodness for this place. Their doctors are thorough in their practices, and the staff/management is incredibly kind and friendly. I would recommend this hospital first and foremost to anyone looking for a trustworthy place to care for their animals. My pet will have a dental here this week, and if all goes well, this will be my go-to vet!

Read Less
